《Life of the dark god》Chapter 9 Personal request

“Please help me.”(Human girl)
She looked at me with teary eyes and tried to get my sympathy. Sorry girl you picked the wrong person for that.
“I am sorry I am not planning to involve myself any further with this.”(Me)
I turned around and went to the Rabbit-woman from the adventurer guild to continue where we stopped with the registration. I just took a last glance and saw that the human girl left with Kylie.
“I have a bad feeling that they are together.”(Me)
“Did you say something?”(Rabbit-woman)
I shook my head and we went back to the room with the crystal ball. This time I gave her my card. I was rather excited. When she finished looking at it she looked back at me.
“So your name is Darkness and you are a human. That’s an odd name. Why are you called like the element? Do you perhaps have an affinity with the element of Darkness?”(Rabbit-woman)
I smiled at her. I had to calm myself down again. Why would she see that? Not that I care though because now I know my information to others was fake.
“Yes my name is Darkness as you said I am able to use the element of Darkness. Is it something bad?”(Me)
She looked at me and answered.
“No, no. It’s the opposite you should be happy that you will be able to use magic. There are only a few people to be able to do that.”(Rabbit-woman)
Really. That’s something new. I thought everyone would be able to use magic.
“Is it that rare to be able to use magic? I am not from around here and I only have little knowledge in common sense.”(Me)
I smiled ashamed. Here was it again the feeling that I had a lack of knowledge. At least it wasn’t endangering my life.
“Yes only a few people are able to use magic. Most of them are humans. Every race has their own specialty but that doesn’t mean beastman would be unable to use magic. But humans created magic in the first place so they have the most knowledge about it. There are some exceptional magicians but for that information you should ask someone else because I don’t know that much about magicians anyway.”(Rabbit-woman)

When I asked for further information she gave me the business smile again and said.
“Please buy the guide for the adventurer card from our guild for further information.”(Rabbit-Woman)
First I was stunned but then I thanked her for everything else, took my card back and went outside. When I exited the guild building I was welcomed by two little girls. Kylie was standing next to the human girl and both were smiling. Again this bad feeling.
“Darkness did you know the father of the girl here is rather famous.”(Kylie)
I looked at her. I didn’t care if he is famous or not. I was not interested.
“You definitely thought that you don’t care right. I bet you will after I tell you that he is one of the best human blacksmiths there are in the world.”(Kylie)
We only knew each other for a few days but was I that obvious? As she said I got really motivated to learn the art of blacksmithing. I faced the human girl.
“What do you need my help with?”(Me)
“My father is ill and needs a special herb for a medicine. It is almost impossible to get this herb because of its rarity. No merchant had this herb so I have already given out a quest to the guild for it. Please accept the quest and find the herb for the medicine.”(Human girl)
“I accept. Go home and tell your father we will find it. Come back to the guild tomorrow and we will search for it together.”(Me)
She looked really happy and nodded. She turned around but before she could run home, I attached some of my mana to her so I could locate her. It’s for safety nothing more.
I was looking back at Kylie.
“Now that that is finished I really want to know how you blocked the fire spell [Explosion].”(Me)
“Is it ok when I say that I have some knowledge in water magic?”(Kylie)

Now I was the one smiling.
“Sure but you go and buy paper and a pen and write me some notes regarding your knowledge on magicians and I will follow the little girl. Don’t try to play a trick on me by the way. First of all I know that you will only need a maximum of 2 Silver Coins for it and that you know more than you want to tell me. As I said I won’t ask you things you don’t want to answer but please do your best to do the things I want you to do.”(Me)
She gave up and said that she was ok with my demands. So we split up and I followed behind the human girl tracking her with my wind spell [Detection]. It is a really easy spell. You use your mana to spread through the wind and everything it touches will show before you like some kind of a map.
I found her. She was located in the forest south of the town and her location wasn’t changing. The fat beastman said that she was living there. Something told me that she wasn’t home yet so I hurried.
When I arrived at her location she was beaten up and lying on the ground. It was quite obvious who the enemies were. The fat beastman and the hooded person were standing in front of her. But that didn’t catch my interest. I was focusing on the book in the right hand of the hooded man, or woman? I didn’t know and didn’t care.
“Let’s say it’s a him.”(Me)
I said to myself.
The thing the hooded man was holding was definitely a book containing information on slave system. I had a feeling. And my feelings were quite accurate. At least in the past. Now I had my prize for saving the girl and fighting them so I went into action. I appeared behind the two of them.
“Look who we have here.”(Fat beastman)
“Just shut up and fight. I want to finish this fast.”(Me)
I said with no emotions.
Why did I want to fight again after almost dying last time? I now had some advantages. First of all I knew I would win a one vs one and I would only have to fight against the hooded man. Second I now had a sword and a spear I got from my last fight stored in my white space. Third he had definitely no chance to win against me with magic.
Moreover I had a really good strategy.
The fight began. He started to prepare [Explosion] while I took a rock and threw it at his right hand. The other two were only spectators. The hooded man was surprised and stopped chanting. I used this one second to summon the heavy sword and I was already striking at him.
He defended with his bare hands and that made me frown but I followed my plan, let go of the sword swiped the book and ran to the little girl. I picked her up and ran away. I didn’t need the sword anymore because I would ask her father to teach me how to make one myself. I had everything I needed why should I continue fighting? In my opinion I won.
After that, she navigated me through the forest to where she was living. We arrived at a house. It was bigger than a normal house from the town but a lot smaller than the mansion I was living in. It was made out of stone and wood and looked really comfortable.

A young, talented, and aspiring archer makes his way to the Olympic Archery Qualifiers; however an accident prevents him from ever making it. An accident which took the final years of his adolescence, his dream of ever becoming an Olympic Gold Archer, and most importantly someone who meant the world to him. Rehabilitating for a year in a hospital, the despair and dread of being alone and having nothing left worth living for finally got to him. Finding his way to the rooftop, he decided fall, but where he expected death, something else appeared; a blue message. A chill and simple LitRPG story that I just wanted to write. Note: I write with the Dark Theme setting, so if I make a colour mistake it’s probably why. I also strangely prefer using the Imperial System to measure Height, while I use the Metric System for almost everything else (Canadian by the way).
