Hi, all!

I'd like to preface this by saying that as of right now, I'm not very pleased with how I've written this story so far. A few weeks' time off of trying to figure out how this story should go has brought me to the realization that this story has so. many. holes. in every. single. aspect, and that I should probably just rewrite the whole damned thing while I'm at trying to fix it all...

For one, the plot is NOT at all planned aside from vague notions of "x should be like this!" or "oh, we'll get to here at some point in the story!" and "yep, we're gonna make the dynamic between x and y like this and that!" that I've bounced off of my friends. Some other concerns I have with my writing thus far are issues with pacing, my tendency to pad my paragraphs just to get at least 2k words on every chapter, the weird way I've established the world thus far, and the like. I'd like to change that, and since I've already started on this endeavour I might as well stick to it and do my best.

So, to the four of you following this story (and you, Someone) as well as whoever's read any of the chapters thus far — please bear with me while I take a week or so to get a rewrite in order.
