《Manablood Mellie》Chapter 23: Spider love

It had been two days since the dungeon delve had began. The camp of about 50 people had been fending off spider attacks throughout the night. One of the men had began constructing armor out of the chitlin. Another group cooking and storing the spider meat. The rest were either resting or watching for another spider attack. They had lost five people so far waiting for the delvers to emerge.
"I dont think anybodys coming back."
"If we stay here we are just like fish in a barrell."
"We should just go. The only thing we can wait for here is death."
The enormous Acid Weaver Spiders lvl 10 had just crested adulthood and were playing with the humans at the base of their nest. Each of them would jumpscare the humans watching them at night, sometimes puking on them in delight. When another person perished in a bath of spider acid, they relented. The morning of day three, they packed up the camping supplies. As the skies hit midmorning, the group left for Marningville leaving the delvers to their fate.

Two terrifying days had passed as the group dragged themselves into packs of spiders, slowly dwindling their numbers. They were taking turns for each delver to get their kill and their stone. This had turned into an argument before George, the defacto leader barked at them to "We are ALL getting stones before we leave . We are together in this. So get in line or SHUT UP and go face those spiders all on your own."
There were five spiders hidden in each burrowed room. There were chests hidden in the acid silk that were difficult to locate until one man got the Scout class. Another man got a title he wouldnt disclose that helped him locate loot as well.
The Slaves were desperate to rid themselves of the class they never wanted and the destiny that came with it. They were ready to accept whatever class they were given. Typically Nobles would pay people of specific classes to farm dungeons for the class stone they usually received. These would be distributed to the people in the employ of their house, keeping their families and allies powerful. For commoners, they braved death for their class bonuses and the welcome skill and spell that came with it.

After the two day spider massacre, their hair and clothes were matted with dried yellow-green blood and burns from the acid and blood. There were a couple mages, a few warriors, a paladin, a few healers and even a necromancer, who raised a spider that was leading the group into the last room of spiders they needed. The group, looking forward to being finished with the delve, was talking about what they wanted to eat when they found a town.
"Coffee." "Applecakes." "Hogpies." "Fucking ALE dammit." "We just need to get out of here." one man concluded. None of them ever wanted to eat spider again. It was like chewy crab, which was a delicious treat at first. But after almost three days of chewing on spiders after killing spiders, it was just nauseating.
George interrupted the chatter and addressed the group outside the final set of giant black double doors that they would be stepping through today. They had only lost two souls during this delve. One man had tripped ober his own feet and landed in a pile of acid. It was rumored his luck stat was a 3. They thought they wpuld have lost more people to the acids but Linda helped counter them with man they found wrapled in a web . The slaves of the group had already changed classes. The remaining delvers persuing stones were a couple farmers who no longer had farms, a shopkeeper who no could no longer afford a shop, and the classless.
The group pushed forward, each surrounding a spider, each person hacking away at each spider leg with their skills and spells. Jenny yelled, "Shit!" as a bolt of lightning shocked the spider unconcious along with one of her teammates who was striking a leg with his sword at the time. Linda shot Jenny a look that conveyed what she thought about her choice of language.
The stunned young Swordsman was dragged away from the spider fights for Linda to heal him with the skill she got from her Healer class. The rest of their group prepared the kill for each of the people without stones. They would use both magic and might to disable each of the giant spiders. and break through the shell behind their eyes , exposing their brain. To obtain their class, each person would climb on the spiders head and stab the brain, killing the spider, then they would have the fun task of digging the stone out of the yellow green sludge. As each person obtained thier class their clothes got covered in the yellow-green muck from digging for the stone. Thats how they could tell the classers from the ones yet to class-up, the yellow-green brainsludge.

As the last person received their class, they rallied and began their way to the mouth of the dungeon. As the group emerged victorious, with new spells and skills for each person, theh were stunned by the empty clearing in front of them. All of their camping supplies were gone. The rest of their party had left them at the dungeon, believing them dead.
George rallied the dissapointed group, "We dont know what happened. We are alive and we are better for it. Nothing has changed. We head to Marningville. We will just be a little behind the first group. Let's rest up and eat some lunch, then we can see about getting back to civilization. Its only a two day walk. We can do this."
The group settled in and made a couple fires and set up couple pots, making a soup from the spider meat and root vegetables one of the men found in the surrounding woods while taking a piss. He was a favorite with the group that day. This is when they realized that they had already been camping and surviving for days without the extras Mellie had given them. They contentedly ate the food they were given, enjoying the fruits of their own labors.
The group of cowards that pressed into the woods, leaving the delvers behind were not alone. As they retreated into the woods from the Spider Dungeon, they were hearing whispers, feeling the breath of the words in their ears "Kill kill kill kill kill" it echoed "kill them before they kill you. Save me, I'll make you mine. Kill them. Help me."
Each person saw a beautiful nude man or woman calling for them, asking them to kill their teammates, pleading for them to save them from these awful people. The Weaver Princess lvl 30 just happened to be out that day, thinking about changes she wanted to make. She was ready to tell her Mom she wanted to move out. On her way back to the dungeon, she found some food walking about and some breeders for her new home too!
The used her mind magic to trick her prey into submission. Soon, the humans began attacking eachother, to her delight, falling one by one until the Weaver Princess lvl 37 was left with a handful. "You'll do" she whispered to each person, as she overwhelmed their senses, knocking them out. She tattered over to the group of women and men, shifting into her human form. The Weaver Princess had long black hair that ran down her back. Her carapce shifted into a shiny black gown with slits for her human legs she formed, her perfect shapely breast squished in a halter top. Her mother found her to be very dramatic.
She inspected her prizes. She greedily eyed her prize of four muscular workers to fertilize her eggs, and two women to hatch them. One of them was old for a human, but that was okay. She would survive all the births. In fact, each magical birthing and magical mating would increase each of their mortality, essentially making the older ones young again. The Weaver Princess, Victoria inspected her new breeders, choosing which to use in her nest for the night. She shifted back into her spider form, wrapping the ones she wasn't ready to use to store for later.
The three pods of preserved humans went into her new dungeon storage room. The dungeon was a project she had worked on since she was a teenager and wanted time away from her mom. Now she was spending more and more time there and it felt more home than in her mothers dungeon. She dug the place out herself and was quite proud.
The prettiest men were stripped naked and tied to the stone beds in the extraction breeding rooms, and the woman was tied pantsless to the bed in the insertion breeding room. Tubes ran to the rooms to distribute food and water to each captive. She would thoroughly breed with these handsome human males later, feeding those fertilized eggs to the human woman to birth. Her home would be full of her own brood soon! And they would be half human like her!
