《An Indomitable's Odyssey》Chapter-3

The sun shone brightly. It was a hot morning and the humid weather only worsening it. Under the sun's glare a child was doing push ups. Sweat was pouring from every part of his body but his eyes were filled with determination.
James's entire food schedule was changed more so upgraded to high nutrient and calcium content food. The only way to strengthen bones was to increase the calcium and vitamin D intake in the body. Apart from this to maintain flexibility certain exercises was also required.
With the advancement of technology there were several pills in the market that could be obtained to speed up the process of strengthening bones, but we're available at exorbitant prices.
The Walters could afford it but James's father had said to him that relying on pills to reach just the 1st stage would impede his progress later on as he will always have an urge to take more pills in the future instead of working hard by himself.
The 1st and 2nd stage of Form realms that is the bone strengthening and muscle strengthening stages can only be achieved by working the body continuously through months of hard work. They also have to be worked on simultaneously as well.
Proper exercises and nutrient intake causes the bones and muscles to strengthen overtime. The bones after reaching a threshold gives of a Crack sound indicating the change in their hardness. It is then that the cultivator has achieved the 1st stage of Form realm.
Consequently in about a short time of a few days to a few weeks the muscles also strengthen enough that a person is able to lift a 100kgs. At this stage the child enters the 2nd stage of Form realm.
Usually it takes about 6 months to reach till the second stage. However James's goal was to enter the 3rd stage in 7 months and he could not slack off even for a second.

His routine included 7 hours of constant training under the sun with an hour break in between. His meditation time had been increased by 30min to 6 o clock after which he started his physical training which went till 2pm.
After having his lunch he used to visit his father's training institute where he was given training on fighting. He returned home with his father after having dinner by 10 he hit the bed. His father always said 'a good rest is required otherwise the body won't perform 100%' .
Like this 4 months went by. After finishing his lunch James headed to the training Institute with his father. They usually walked to the Institute as it wasn't very far from his home. He was feeling strange today as if there was a lot of energy inside him. When they reached the Institute James went to a training zone instead of first warming up and practicing with his father as he felt a jolt of energy running inside his body.
These zones comprised of a small square shaped rooms which housed robots of different strengths for training purposes. Everyday James used to challenge the robot with the strength of the 1st stage of Form realm.
James stepped inside and pressed the start button. The training bot activated and came to the challenge. Like usual the match started and they both lunged at each other trying to win the match. Usually James used to either get beaten or chased around as the difference in strength was great.
But today James felt different and as they came in contact with each other James threw a punch at the robot and surprisingly it staggered back. It was the first time his punch had made it get pushed back as usually there used to be no effect.
Seeing this James's confidence rose and he faced the robot head on. James was still in the receiving end but he was fairing way better than his previous tries. After a few minutes he stood standing covered with bruises on his body and grinning at the training bot.

Never has he taken so many beatings from him as he used to try escape instead but today he felt energy brimming inside of him.
As the robot came at him with a punch aiming for his chest, James clenched his fist and instead matched the punch with his own. He felt a sudden jolt of energy and as their punches met a *crack* sound was heard in the room. The robot and the child stood facing each other their fists remained in contact and neither seemed to be hurt.
"Stop" said James and the robot went back shutting itself off. James looked at his fist with a huge grin and calmly went outside. Due to constant meditation and training he had matured and had more control over himself. Even with his body being riddled with bruises he was calm and he was smiling.
He walked up to his father who was training a middle aged man and smilingly said, "Dad I did it. I reached the 1st stage of Form realm."
That day the father son duo took an early leave and went back to the house to give the mother a surprise. James received an apple pie which he hasn't seen in 4 months as a reward and got the entire day off as rest.
The next day James continued to push himself further while continuing his training. He was now more determined than ever to break through the 3rd stage of Form realm before the 7 month time period was up.
After eleven days he was able to pick up a 100kg barbell! He had broken through the 2nd stage of Form realm as well! With the speed he was going by there was no one amongst his class mates at his level yet. Apart from him only 1 other child had reached the 1st stage that too just the previous day from his school.
James had two months and 1 week in his hands to breakthrough to the next stage. But the next one was not so simple like the others.
The 3rd stage of Form realm the strengthening of senses stage was a stage that could not be obtained through just pure brute physical training. It was stage that could be achieved only when one's instinct evolved! It was truly a stage that differentiated a genius from a normal martial cultivator in these 7 months of training period.
Only through constant engaging in fights and through proper talent can someone achieve a qualitative leap in his instinct. It required rigorous use of the 5 senses of the body which could only be achieved through battle and survival experience.
Normally it takes about 4-5 months while a genius would take around 2-3 months to reach this stage.
While having dinner that night James was treated to another apple pie by his mother.
"Eat as much as you like son as you won't be seeing good food for awhile. " said his father.
James looked at his father questioningly to which Edward continued and said,
" James for the next part we will be visiting the Bursberg Forest this time" said his father.

Thomas the Brawler
Thomas doesn't remember what his last name was, before it became Bluebrim, a name belonging to another universe. He's also pretty sure he wasn't this stupid before he arrived, but what can you do, when a day that was supposed to begin with an interview to set your life back on track instead begins in a universe that makes no sense, with rules you can't begin to understand? Maybe he should have paid more attention to the avatar creation screen ... Content warnings: All of them. Seriously. Expect lots of blue screens to begin with. Don't expect a power-leveling fantasy, in which the lone hero beats up all the bad guys, and gets a harem of women. There's just a guy who treats character creation like an annoying series of pop-up advertisements, and the story is basically the ramifications of that. The main character has to learn to take the world he's found himself in seriously, and he'll learn the way most of us do, by doing it wrong first. This is, insofar as it is successful, a dark comedy fantasy. Also a bit of horror, particularly but not exclusively body horror. I'm pretty sure I've earned those Content Warning tags, so, uh, yeah. This is practice. Hopefully things improve as I go, and figure out what I'm doing wrong, but I make no guarantees things will ever get better. I've already made mistakes, I'll make more, and I'm happy to notice them each time I make them. You don't improve unless you fail. (On the plus side, it probably won't get much worse.) Feel free to point out anything you think I'm doing wrong; I don't promise to change anything, particularly if it's a matter of taste, but I am looking to improve, and figuring out what I need to improve goes faster if I don't have to try to figure it out myself. I've updated the earlier chapters for formatting, in the hope that it would make everything easier to read on mobile devices. Hopefully things work slightly better now, but please let me know if there are any issues anywhere.
