Soldier’s Training Hall
When Wei Family Residence experienced sudden destruction, the soldiers were busy training in the training hall. Every single one of them readied themselves the moment they heard the loud explosion followed with numerous buildings collapsed. They didn’t know what had happened, but they had to be prepared for the battle that was to come.
“General Mu, what’s your order?” one of the higher ranked soldiers kneeled and asked respectfully.
Mu Hong, General Mu, was looking at the direction of the residence with furrowed brows. It was obvious that there was someone who attacked Wei Shang right now. Based on the fighting prowess alone, that person must be someone of rank 4.
He smiled bitterly. “We’ll wait.”
“But General…”
“Even if we go there, we’re just going to head to our death,” Mu Hong said firmly. Against a rank 4, rank 3 wouldn’t be able to do anything. The specialization ability that they could develop once reaching rank 4 was not something to belittle with. He didn’t have any means to contend against them except running away.
Even though they might be able to stay together in a formation, he would be sending a lot of them to their death door.
Besides…
“There’s only one person who could come to Wei Family Residence unscathed and create trouble for Great General Wei,” Mu Hong murmured to himself.
It was Ye Ai Xia. It must be her.
“General, what if the Imperial family asks us to be responsible for not dealing with this incident properly?” one of the adjutants asked worriedly.
Mu Hong waved his hand. “If there’s anything wrong, just tell them that it’s all my order. If they want to blame someone, they should blame me.”
“General!”
“This is my decision,” Mu Hong said firmly. He turned his head to Wang Jun. “Wang Jun, you should go relay my order for soldiers to not move from their post. Tell them that General Wei has everything under his control.”

“Yes, General!” Wang Jun saluted before departing swiftly.
Behind them, the other officials were doubtful. They didn’t understand why General Mu didn’t want to deal with the intruder cleanly like what they usually did. Right now, they could only stay silent as the general only told them to be wary and prepared for every order he might give.
Mu Hong looked to the palace. He could faintly sense an incoming pressure from that place as his face turned pale.
‘Ye Ai Xia, you better leave. Once His Majesty arrives in Wei Family Residence, you will never be able to run away.’
He couldn’t help them much, but it was better than nothing. As for the punishment, he would think about them later and designed several excuses. It should be able to safe his life with some physical punishment or probably a demotion. For him, it was a price that was worth it if he could save those two lives.
….
Wei Family Residence
Ye Ai Xia could sense that the air pressure around her started to change. The immense pressure coming to her told her clearly that someone of great figure would come soon enough.
‘He’ll be here soon.’
“Ye Ai Xia, give up!” Wei Shang yelled. He initiated his Eon Energy and pushed the ground up, making sharp cones directed to Ye Ai Xia. “I won’t be able to plead for your life anymore once he arrives.”
“Give up and be yours? You must be dreaming, Wei Shang!” Ye Ai Xia yelled. “How many times should I repeat it to you that I will never be yours?”
With slight movement, she evaded the attack and moved to the back. Spreading her sense, she searched for Ye Jiao’s location. There was no place for them in this kingdom anymore. They have to leave.

Wei Shang looked at Ye Ai Xia with a complicated gaze. “Why can’t you just give up? He’s already dead, your husband won’t be able to return back and help you anymore.”
“So what?” Ye Ai Xia gathered Eon Energy in her arm as it made a small tornado around her. Her smile was beautiful yet it was filled with resolve of this destructive path. “Life and death, I’ll be with him. There was nothing that could separate us!”
“You’re crazy!”
Wei Shang evaded the numerous tornados directed at him as it destroyed the residence around him. Right now, he couldn’t care about his residence and people around him. The only person that he saw was only Ye Ai Xia.
“Yes, I’m crazy,” Ye Ai Xia smiled sweetly. “I just want to stay with him, but you all have to intervene. If it’s for him… I don’t mind becoming crazy,” Her tone was melancholic despite the ruthless glint in her eyes. She stretched out her arm and collected a massive amount of Eon Energy to her.
Seeing her action, Wei Shang’s face paled. He turned to escape, but Ye Ai Xia had directed numerous air blades to him. It cut off everything around him with some of it hitting his clothes, tearing them.
Wei Shang pulled the earth to protect him as he stood firmly, waiting for the cut to end. It was at this time he realized that he was being pushed to the back. After a few more steps, he crashed against a building’s wall. His expression changed when he saw the building collapsed on top of him.
“Ye Ai Xia!”
Seeing that he blocked her attack blindly, Ye Ai Xia was relieved. She had seen that the building was still standing despite being partially destroyed. All she had to do was cut off the support one by one and it would fall.
She turned her head to her residence as she disappeared from her place.
‘Ye Jiao, please be safe.’

Slime of Gluttony

This is the life of the man, a life of no importance. At the impulse of desiring food, he left his small and cramped apartment. Regretting his actions immediately, he was left with the prospect of a complete panic attack due to the numerous amount of people outside at that day. However, he pressed on, determined to find some sort of delicious food to consume. Life had other plans for him. He gets hit by a car, and after hearing strange words from an even stranger voice, he dies. However, minutes, hours, maybe even days later, he awakes, his senses of smell, sight, and hearing robbed of him. Author's Note: This is my first story on Royal Road, so it might not be the best. Although, I hope you enjoy! I'll probably write around 2000 words or more per chapter, but on average a bit more. If you're wondering, the cover art is drawn by me, just in case you thought I wasn't giving credit to the creator. This story might often times lean more into the comedy side of things, but stuff can still get pretty serious at times, especially in the later chapters. The story isn't super dark or anything, but character death is of course going to be a thing. Who? Well, you'll find out, eventually. Also, I'll upload chapters on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I hope you enjoy reading this little hobby of mine!
