“Jiao’er, can you circulate your Eon Energy while doing chores?” Ye Ai Xia asked.
Ye Jiao nearly dropped the cloth that she held in her hand when she heard her mother’s question. Her eyes blinked a few times. “Mom, isn’t that impossible?”
She required great concentration to pull Eon Energy to her body and core. If she had to do chores on top of absorbing them, she wouldn’t be able to do the two of them well. It was simply too hard.
Ye Ai Xia chuckled. “There’s someone you know that managed to do it.”
“Who?”
“Who do you think?” Ye Ai Xia winked.
Ye Jiao beamed. “Dad?”
“Yes.”
“Dad is really awesome!”
Ye Ai Xia laughed. “He told me that it was indeed possible to pull the Eon Energy while doing something else, but it’s not directed to your core. All he does is just circulating Eon Energy to strengthen his body because he was too lazy.”
“Dad is lazy?”
“Yes,” Ye Ai Xia laughed. “There’s a time when he’s so lazy that he chooses to train while doing chores. This way, he didn’t have to specifically pick time to train and could spend the time to play with the others. The teachers are angry, but they couldn’t do anything because he still progresses faster than most children here.”
Ye Jiao followed after her mother and laughed too. “Is that before Dad formed his core?”
“He had formed his core. It’s when he’s about to reach rank 1.”
“Ah,” Ye Jiao recalled that reaching the first rank required them to train their Eon Energy freely inside their body. It was no wonder that her father trained to do it while doing chores and other things.

“Do you want to try?”
“Yes!”
As Ye Jiao continued to clean up the window, she tried to circulate the Eon Energy in her body. However, her coordination turned into a mess as she had to focus to two things. In the end, she took twice the time she used to clean the window.
Ye Ai Xia shook her head. “Try to do it while sweeping the floor. It’ll require less thinking.”
“Ok, Mom.”
With that, Ye Jiao did chores for the entire morning while training the circulation that Ye Ai Xia mentioned. Even though her movement was extremely awkward at times, she continued to train the double practice to train her Eon Energy and did chores.
“It’s afternoon, let’s start our lesson today,” Ye Ai Xia called the girl.
Ye Jiao jogged to the house. Her eyes scanned the book on the table curiously. “What are we going to study today, Mom?”
“I’ll teach you geography, or to be exact, regarding Chen Kingdom,” Ye Ai Xia replied. “What do you know regarding Chen Kingdom and its size.”
“It’s really large,” Ye Jiao replied. “There are numerous cities and villages and the capital is the largest city in this kingdom. As for the terrain… um, there are a lot of varieties?”
“I can see that you don’t know anything.”
“Sorry, Mom,” Ye Jiao scratched her head. She did learn geography but only the general. What she remembered was only the types of plant that grew in what season and the likes. As for the Chen Kingdom in specific, she was not too sure.
Ye Ai Xia took out a map and spread it on the table. “This area is Chen Kingdom. There are indeed a lot of different terrains, but Chen Kingdom is mostly covered in forests. This is why there are a lot of beasts around. The forests are their habitat.”

“The shape looks like a chicken.”
Pfft!
“Why are you thinking of that?”
Ye Jiao grinned. “Here, it looks like its head and down there look like the tail and feet.”
Upon listening to Ye Jiao’s explanation, Ye Ai Xia didn’t know whether to laugh or not. It was true that the shape looked like chicken because of the newest expansion at the north, but should that be her first remark?
“Mom, Chen Kingdom is bordering two kingdoms?”
“Yes, at the east, there’s Cao Kingdom while the west is Chi Kingdom,” Ye Ai Xia pointed. “This map didn’t give the detail area, but it should be around the same size with Chen Kingdom.”
“But without the chicken shape?”
“Yes… are you hungry?”
Ye Jiao tilted her head. “No, why Mom?”
“Because you keep on mentioning chicken,” Ye Ai Xia giggled. “Anyway, at the northwest of Chen Kingdom, in the area near the chicken head, it’s a mountain’s range.”
“Oh,” Ye Jiao studied the map. The four kingdoms seemed to face the same mountain range because their shape at the northwest looked like a straight line with slight bumps here and there. “What’s in that mountain range, Mom?”
“It’s….” Ye Ai Xia wanted to answer, but she decided to not do it. It was her destination once they were unable to live in this place anymore. There was something in that place that would be able to protect the two of them. But it was only a plan.
Ye Jiao noticed that her mother seemed strange. “Mom?”
“It’s nothing,” Ye Ai Xia coughed. “Now, let’s move to another topic. What do you know regarding the division of power in Chen Kingdom?”
“There are three prominent families,” Ye Jiao raised three of her fingers. “First is the Imperial family, Chen Family. Second is the military family, Wei Family. Third is scholarly family, Lu Family.”
“You’re correct, do you know the three of them?”
“I only know Wei Family.”
Both mother and daughter smiled wryly. Ye Jiao only knew Wei Family because they were living here. It was easy for her to gain the information of the Wei Family.
“What do you know regarding the five children of Wei Shang?”
“Two of them come from the main wife while the other three comes from the concubines,” Ye Jiao replied.
“How many concubines he has?”
“A lot.”
“That’s not number.”
“I don’t know the exact number.”
The two of them continued their question and answer for a long time.
