Ye Jiao stayed still in her place as she watched her father walked forward. Even from the back, she could sense that her father looked different than before. It was as if Ye Xiao was enveloped in a layer of energy, looking all powerful.

“Jiao’er, can you see the difference in me?”

“Dad looks more powerful,” Ye Jiao replied.

“I initiate Eon Energy to cover up my entire body,” Ye Xiao explained. “This is the second use of Eon Energy. Once you can use Eon Energy to spread into your entire body, it means you have reached rank 2.”

Hearing her father’s explanation, Ye Jiao’s eyes shone. It might be only the basic use of Eon Energy because the three first rank could be attained by more than half the entire population in Chen Kingdom. But for someone like her, it was simply amazing.

Looking at the faint light layer around her father, Ye Jiao was astounded. The light looked beautiful as they protected her father completely. It was thin, yet at the same time, it gave off the vibe of being strong and capable enough to protect him.

As Ye Xiao talked, a large tiger appeared from the forest. Ye Xiao’s brows arched. It was unusual for tigers to reach this near to the capital.

He evaded the tiger’s claw when it jumped as he moved to the side. In the next second, he punched forward, straight to the tiger’s stomach. It was just a simple punch, but the force generated was enough to push the tiger to the back.

“This is the basic use of Eon Energy in rank 1,” Ye Xiao spoke up. “After forming your core, you have to focus on strengthening your body, which will allow you to become far stronger. This beast over here is just rank 2, so it’s possible for you to defeat it when you’re only rank 1.”

It was possible, but their body might get hurt because of the hard skin the beast had.

Rank 2 beasts couldn’t use Eon Energy, but they have far stronger body than rank 1. In addition, their movement was faster and concise. They might be beast, but if human didn’t be careful, they would have to pay enormous price.

“Dad, it’s coming again!” Ye Jiao noticed that the tiger had stood up again and roared in anger.

Ye Xiao chuckled. “There’s no need to worry so much.”

He clenched his fingers into a fist as Eon Energy flowed to his hand. Different than the one protecting him all over his body, the one in his hand was circulated so that it would give impact.

As the tiger pounced on Ye Xiao, he lowered his body and evaded to the side before punching the tiger. This time, it was sent backwards much further with blood splattered around. That one punch had instantly crushed the tiger’s defense.

Ye Jiao’s jaw was opened wide. She was astounded by the strength her father showed to her. “Dad, that’s amazing!”

“That’s the power of peak rank 2,” Ye Xiao remarked nonchalantly. “Second rank will allow you to have free control of Eon Energy outside your body. It wouldn’t be too far, but you can use them for many things. I just strengthen my hand and add some Eon Energy surrounding it. If it hit anything, it would move them in circular movement.”

Ye Jiao blinked a few times. “Circular movement?”

“Um,” Ye Xiao scratched the back of his head. It was hard to explain things that he only did subconsciously. For him, controlling Eon Energy was extremely easy, so he always tried to use them in numerous different ways. One of them was by controlling it around his body.

“Dad?”

“Do you know how to spin egg?”

Ye Jiao nodded her head. After boiling egg, the content of the egg would turn hard, making it easy for egg to rotate. Sometimes, she would play with them and compete with her father to see who lasted longer. Of course, knowing her father, he would add a bit of Eon Energy to win.

Well, he hated to lose.

“If you spin it really hard and touch it suddenly, what do you feel?”

“It hurts,” Ye Jiao only recalled that it would feel painful. She tried to stop her father’s spinning egg before because he added Eon Energy, but the spin made her hand felt a bit hurt when she touched it. She could stop it, but she knew that her palm would turn red.

“The principle in this is the same, but the one that rotate is Eon Energy. I make them rotate all over my palm, protecting it and at the same time, harming whoever try to get close because it’ll cause pain if they touch it,” Ye Xiao explained.

Honestly, he wanted to just say that it was because of friction and fast movement. But if he said that, Ye Jiao would never understand. He sighed internally. Teaching a little kid was really difficult.

Right now, he truly admired the elementary school teachers.

“So with the spin of Eon Energy, it can protect and harm at the same time?” Ye Jiao asked.

Ye Xiao nodded his head. “Yes. Let’s see the tiger and you’ll understand it.”

He walked to the tiger’s corpse, which now had a large hole in its stomach. Blood was flowing out from the wound, dying the grasses red with blood. Thankfully, there was only blood that was visible, or Ye Xiao might not be able to explain things because Ye Jiao might not be able to withstand the sight.

Even now, Ye Jiao was trying to not think too much as she looked at the wound on the tiger’s body. The blood made her felt nausea, but she didn’t say anything. Her eyes were locked on the torn skin, which has the circle mark around the wounds.

“Is this mark come from your punch, Dad?”

“Yes,” Ye Xiao nodded his head. “My strength coupled with the destructive feature of Eon Energy produce this result.”

“It’s amazing,” Ye Jiao muttered.

“It’s not that good. Anyway, let’s bring it back home to eat and you should start to practice the basic physical exercise again.”

“Ah, we just hunt one?”

Ye Xiao laughed. “Of course, we only hunt one. Normally, you have to venture deeper to find one, so we’re lucky that it ends this quick. Starting tomorrow, I’ll take you along to the hunt, but you should never participate in the fight.”

“Ok, Dad,” Ye Jiao nodded excitedly. Watching her father fight was really cool. “What if there’s rank 3 beasts around?”

“Don’t worry. Most of the beast around here are rank 2,” Ye Xiao said with ease. He had exterminated most of the rank 3 when he ventured into the forest for the past few years. Now, rank 3 became extremely scarce.
