Terra’s faction
Astora’s original planet located in MV#78SS01P03 (Multiverse number 78 Star System number 01 Planet number 03). A world unaffected by the influence of the Gods so far. Focus heavily on technology and industrial progress. However, due to the lack of concern toward the environment, it is no longer habitable by normal standards and require cities to be built within protective domes.
The United Federation: the most powerful country of Terra thanks to it having the most natural resources and military influence. President Robert Carter: Leader of the United Federation and one of the most, if not the most, influential political figure in Terra. A rather chubby man in his fifties, the President, along with the CIA director, hunted down all the espers including the Greymen for an unknown purpose. Contrarily to what his appearance might suggest, the President possesses a physical prowess far beyond the human limits, capable of fighting on par with a God. CIA Direction Chris Winston: Head of the Counter Intelligence Agency. Hold a deep and personal grudge against the espers. In charge of the experimentation on Astora (and many other espers). However, there are things even he doesn’t know about his closest ally, the President himself. The Greymen: An international organization composing of espers, people with extraordinary powers ranging from telepathy or elemental control. For many decades, the Greymen risk their lives fighting the mysterious creatures known as the Monochromes and solve many international crises. However, their service is now longer required and seen as potential threat by the ones in power. Doctor Vincent: Head of the Greymen and one of the few members who does not actually have any psychic ability. A genius in robotic and nano-technologies, Doctor Vincent is aware of the existence of the world of Astora/Valhalla thanks to his encounter with a young Artificer Marcus William. During Alastor’s stay in Terra, the old doctor was fascinated by the boy’s godly power and stole his blood. Using this sample and his voluntary grand-daughter Fiora as a surrogate, Astora was born. Kennedy: A captain of the Greymen and a military veteran. Possess the ability to switch the location of two objects of the same mass and exceptional skills as a sniper. Friend with Fiora and considered an uncle to Astora. Edmund: a fire user and friend with Fiora. However, due to Chris’ threat on his family, Edmund was forced to spy on doctor Vincent and was killed by the same man. The Resistance: a gathering of remaining espers who swear to bring justice to their innocent fellows. Jora: a telekinesis esper. Leader of the Resistance. Share an affection toward her mentor Kennedy. Pat: Friend to Edmund and Jora. Can move at sound speed and possess exceptional physical abilities. Join the Resistance and assistant to Jora. Fiora: An esper with the ability to read mind of others and the only grand-daughter of the infamous doctor Vincent. Biological mother of Astora. Hold a deep yet one-sided affection toward Alastor. After Astora’s birth, she kept the baby in a sheltered life to avoid the attention of others, fearing that they will discover the baby to be his child. Was killed by Zeus while shielding Astora. However, her body has been lost
Valhalla’s faction
The world where the first volume took place. Once known as Astora, its name was changed to Valhalla as a gesture of respect toward an ancient empress. This world is said to be located in the furthest part of the Multiverse, where even the Gods are unaware of its existence, until an expedition team of the Gods came upon this planet. Possess unusually high mana density, which is said to be impossible by the Gods’ standard. Because of this, currently, it is periodically under siege by the Gods or as the locals call them, the Fiends.

The Old Faith/Church of Light: Main religion of Valhalla before the end of the Dark Age. Based in the eastern part of Mara in Caelum, they worship the Gods and denounce all the races that are not part of the Primordial Six. As time went on, the Church was corrupted with greedy men only caring for themselves. However, it is said that the last pontiff of the Church was a prominent and caring figure who played a major role in its downfall. The Angelic Faith: The religion that established itself after the fall of the Church of Light and is the most influential religion in Valhalla. Abolishing and forbidding the worship of the Gods, it actually reveres the heavenly beings known as Angels or Empyreans. The Crimson Legion: One of three major orders of the Angelic Faith, the Crimson Legion is tasked with the duties to punish evil doers and constantly patrol the land in search for criminals. Their uniforms are red-stained cloth with medium armors, said to be the sword of the Church itself. Alan Sinclair: a young knight of the Legion, Alan accidentally stumbles upon Astora’s secret. However, he keeps it secret in exchange for a deal with her. Though the deal is unknown. The Hero: Chosen by the people, the Hero travels the land and punishes evil doers just like the Crimson Legion. However, their duties also involve being an ambassador of peace. The Six Pillars of Valhalla: Godly beings that possess unfathomable powers. Undoubtedly the most powerful individuals of Valhalla, they vow to protect the world from the threat of the Fiends. Pillar of Oblivion: Ruler of the Blighted Woods and command the Reapers. The person has yet to take an appearance but was loyally revered by the Reapers. Pillar of Heavens: Known as the Sky Emperor, this figure seems to be the ruler of the Empyreans that the Angelic Faith worships. Angel’s Crown: One of the main countries in Mara, it serves as the headquarters of the Angelic Faith. However, there is a king in charge. In the past, it was known as the Kingdom of Ceadric. Empire of Scyentia: One of the main countries in Mara. It appears to possess exceptional technology advances compared to the rest of Valhalla. However, not much is known about how it came to be this way. It used to be called Zagon Empire. Regent of Scyentia: leader of the Empire. Despite her popularity among the people, no one has ever seen the face of the Regent due to the helmet she always seems to wear. Said to be a very skillful warrior. Cornelia Argent: Self-proclaimed successor of Dark Lord Alastor’s legacy. Also known as the Beast of the Infernal Pit. Despite her being in Scyentia, Cornelia is not a soldier or an ally of the country. However, she does have a very strange rapport with the Regent. One could say it is admiration. Others could say it is something much more profound. Either way, this strange girl is excessively cruel and would not hesitate to sacrifice anyone for her own goal. She underwent many surgical experiments in order to improve her own body in her pursuit of strength. Holds a peculiarly intense hatred toward Astora. Minister of Science: Similar to the Regent, this enigmatic man always has a cloth mash over his face. He holds a deep ambition to surpass all and loves to experiment with new things by combining magic and science. Franken & Stein: Two black-garbed figures who serve as the Minister of Science’s henchmen. However, they also appear to be caretakers of Cornelia, always watching her from a distance. It is said that Franken & Stein are never away from each other. Both appear to have been implanted with machineries designed for combat. Sunless Kingdom of Twilight: eastern kingdom of Mara and once the seat of the Church of Light. The kingdom is constantly shrouded by dark clouds so it is always night time. The cause is unknown. Due to the climate, the people have evolved themselves in order to adapt to it, creating new variants of the common races. However, the speed of evolution is said to be unnatural, as it happens within days and not ages. It is said to also be the home of one of the Six Pillars. Circle of Magi: an order which gather prominent mages and sorcerers across the lands to study magic. Located in the western continent of Oros, the Circle separates itself from politics and rarely intervenes in the outside world’s affairs. Also said to be the home of one of the Pillars. The Great Enchanter: creator of the talismans and said to be the most powerful mage in the land. The Crows: an underground organization which deal in illegal affairs. Basically, Valhalla’s version of the mafia.

Multiverse’s factions
The entire universe composed of 100 worlds. Multiple factions, with some much more popular than others, dominate the Multiverse.
The Gods: the Gods belong to an ancient race called the Deus. Their main base is located in the center of the Multiverse and is called Estella. They are the main factor that control everything in the Multiverse with an iron fist. Or at least, that is what they claim to be. With the return of the Usurper, the control of the Gods begins to waver as they fear the end of their immortal lives is finally coming. There is apparently another faction within the Gods called Umbra. The creator of the demon lords, Magnus, came from there but not much is known about them. The Ender Lords: Mechanical machines that are supposed to serve the Usurper in their conquest. There are a total of twelve Ender Lords, each possessing unimaginable power that far exceeds the Deus. Currently, they are being led by the 11th Ender Lord, also known as the Judge. Ender Lord Number 11: Nicknamed Judge, this humanoid machine is the being behind the slaughter and brainwashing of the expedition team of the Gods in ancient time of the world of Astora. He is also responsible for the events that surmounted to both Alastor’s creation and death. Although, his true goal is a complete mystery. The Trickster: a mysterious figure who has so many faces no one really knew what they actually look like. This person once posed themselves as the mercenary Ravenheart (the one who spared Alastor when his village was attacked and later killed the Dark Lord himself). Their current identity is Steven, son of the CIA direction Chris. Their goal is unknown. Although, they share a close alliance with the Ender Lord Number 11. The Great Ones: mysterious creatures who have been observing the Multiverse since its creation. They are apparently beings of a higher plane with exceptional power and wisdom. Yet, they most often serve only as spectators and rarely intervene in mortal affairs. Sympathetic in nature, they do however listen to prayers that are addressed to them and more often respond back through various means. Though their aids usually end up with disastrous consequences. Some call them Elder Gods, as it is clear that these creatures exist even before the Deus. The Great Ones use a very ancient language unspeakable by human tongue that appear to be noises and whispers to those who don’t understand it. Nephilas the Harrowing Nightmare: an Elder God who violates the rules by lending assistance to a mortal Champion and as a result was sealed away by the Deus. Astora’s awakening to power somehow managed to help Nephilas break free of his imprisonment. Judging the girl to be inadequate of her task, Nephilas took on the burden of becoming a Champion and is now on his way to search for his potential followers in the Sunless Kingdom.
Unaffiliated groups
These groups are not directly linked to any of the main factions but still hold a major influence. Their goals are often unknown and their members enigmatic to say the least.
??? : there is a rumor about a bar inside a secret dimension. The entrance is through a crimson painted door and only those who have received an invitation can access the bar. Seemingly unrelated to the rest of the world, these people have intervened on multiple occasions in the affairs of the world of Astora. They also desire to capture Alastor’s daughter, Astora for an unknown objective but failed due to the Trickster. The Bartender: a masked senior man who is the caretaker of the bar. During the events of the first volume, this person is the one who granted Ikarus immense powers that allow her to ascend into godhood, making Ikarus the most powerful celestial in history. His powers and objectives are unknown. Though, he did manage to be on par with an Elder God along with their minions, stopping them from reaching Valhalla during the Great War. Cronos: a young man in Victorian noble clothing who holds control over time. Although, his power is not omnipotent and requires conditions to be used. He is the person who gave young Edward the Sand of time, which allows the boy to have the same power as he does. Though unlike the Bartender, Cronos seems to have a sinister purpose behind helping Edward. Madame Rouge: a lady who always wear red clothing and appears to control blood and her umbrella as her main weapons. Speak the ancient language of the Great Ones and apparently is connected to them. She helped Maria in defeating Lucifer and granted the huntress her blood, giving her a similar power as Rouge. The Shop in the Nether Realm: the hub to be used by the Champion chosen by the Will of the Multiverse. Multiple facilities can be found here, all to assist the Champion in their quest. Currently, there are two Champions: Astora and Nephilas. However, Nephilas is a Champion in name only and does not possess the blessing of the Will of the Universe. Sona: a female android who appears to be made with strange technology. Able to converse like a living being, Sona is the shop-keeper and the manager of the place. She appears to be a lively, humorous person with a mischievous side. However, Sona is nicknamed Champion-Slayer by Nephilas. One thing is for sure: Sona is insanely powerful and not to be underestimated as even an Elder God would hesitate to take her on. Durin: the blacksmith. Like Sona, Durin is one of the caretakers of the place and in charge of crafting weapons for the Champion. Cailleach: nicknamed the Red Hag, Cailleach has a grumpy personality but nonetheless helps Astora in her quest. She is in charge of the transposition facility. The Red Hag, despite never moving from her chair, knows a lot of things, even the things most secret. Nil: It is unknown whether Nil is a person or simply the name of the Multiverse itself. However, the lost records seen by Astora are definitely somehow linked to Nil.
Mythological/Legendary figures
The Mad King: Not much is known about the Mad King except that he apparently committed a most grave crime and was executed by his own retainers. His death, along with the declination of the old faith, sparked the creation of the Angelic Faith. According to the wise man Astora encountered, the Mad King is somehow related to Dark Lord Astora and should Astora wish to find out more about her father, she must follow the trails of the Mad King. Dark Lord Alastor: Father of Astora. Despite his previous efforts for peace, Alastor was only known by history for his actions during the Great War which took the lives of millions. His death marked the end of the Dark Age, pushing the world into the next era of peace between the races. Even until today, mentioning his name is considered a taboo. The Cerulean Butterfly: a mythical figure with a completely unknown history or past. Although, it is speculated that the Cerulean Butterfly is among the most powerful beings in the entire Multiverse as even the Ender Lord Number 11 wishes to avoid any confrontation with this individual. The Cerulean Butterfly tried to prevent Astora from becoming a Champion but was flatly rejected by the girl. In addition, the Cerulean Butterfly also speaks the tongue of the ancient language.
