《The Story of KED》Part 1 Formation - Chapter 18

Bravo and his friends sat around a table waiting patiently when the door hissed open and Kid and his father walked in. The older man smiled at the boys as he and his son took a seat.
“Did you rest well?” He asked, “I hope you found your quarters adequate”
“ I slept like a baby.” Otto said, causing Nónanae to grin.
“We’re fine with our room, Thanks for letting us use it.” Bravo answered.
“You’re quite welcome, it's the least I could do after you helped my son.”
“Well, he also helped us out as well.” Data replied.
“Yes, he regaled me of the events last night” Nónanae said as he leaned slightly forward in his seat and clasped his hands together in front of him, “Now, as for this meeting, there are a few things to Discuss. One, I want to know more about your home world, and Two, we can discuss who we are, and whether or not you want a place with us.”
“What would you like to know?” Buck asked,
“My son said that you told him your world has no unified government or space travel, is that correct?”
Data nodded, “We have countries but no world government, and nothing like what you guys have in terms of space travel.”
“Interesting.” Nónanae was puzzled, Then he looked at Kid who shrugged his shoulders.
“What’s up?” Buck asked, his eyes narrowing.
“We were just thinking, your planet is actually in a remote section of the known universe. The only civilization out in that area is the Partorems, and it isn’t well mapped.”
“The only reason why I stumbled upon it was because I made several blind jumps to escape an Imperial ambush, and they pursued me out that far.” Kid added.

“So this Empire you're fighting doesn’t even know it exists?” Delta inquired.
Nónanae shook his head, “Most likely not, or even the way to get to it.”
“We were thinking about moving our base out there.” Kid stated
“Having a bunch of ships flying around our planet would probably upset things very much.” Otto replied.
“It would at least cause a panic.” Data added.
“Well it wouldn’t need to be your system exactly” Nónanae clarified almost absent mindedly before shaking his head, “But it’s just an idea.”
“I wanted to ask you what you would have us do?” Buck blurted out, “What our jobs would be if we choose to join you”
Nónanae smiled, “That would be up to you to decide, and whether or not you want us to leave you somewhere or travel with us.”
“You're saying you would drop us off somewhere else?” Bravo asked
“Yes, we could release you on a planet of your choosing, even give you a very modest amount of supplies to start you off, but I wouldn’t recommend that for someone from a more,” He paused, “primitive society.”
“And we don’t have to fight if we don’t want to?” Buck inquired.
Nónanae shook his head, “While we need capable fighters, I’m not going to force that on you, besides some of you are too young to fight.”
The boys sat in silent contemplation for a few moments, but were stopped when Nónanae cleared his throat, “I don’t require an answer right away, you can take some time to decide.”
Bravo looked at each of his friends getting a nod in return from most and a shrug from Buck, he turned and opened his mouth to say something but was caught off when a loud pitched wailing noise filled the room.

Nónanae and Kid leaped out of their chairs just as the door slid open and a man came running in, followed by Hergist.
“S..Sir!” The man gasped “Imperial ships have entered the system, their launching fighters and shuttles.”
Nónanae spat something in an unknown language, “They’ve found us already.” He then turned to Hergist, “Get my son and these boys out of here.”
“Sir,” Hergist replied and ushered them out.
Nónanae, and the other man sprinted out of the room and down the hall. “Order our pilots to their fighters, tell them to escort the shuttles, and only engage the enemy if they try to attack them, and sound the evacuation alarms.”

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14

After millions of years, he finally reached the summit. Becoming a Sovereign Paragon. Longing for the world he left countless years ago, he finally returns to his own world. Author's Note: This story is different from other wuxia novels. If those novels focus on characters that struggle from the bottom and reach the top, this story is one where someone already reached the top. I figured it would be interesting to start a novel from this concept so I started it. Well, however this plays through, just like how I finished my previous novel, Doll's Smile, I'll finish this novel too. Of course, I'm writing this novel just for fun. I like to write lighthearted novels like this. Novels that I would read while listening to music and eating snacks on a pleasant and relaxing afternoon. Do forgive me if I'm slow in writing.
