In the year 2216, by pure accident, scientists studying the leading edge of portation physics managed to open a pathway between dimensions, and into another plane of existence.

Not even they themselves understood how it worked, or where exactly the place they had found was.

Some said it was too dangerous. What if the connection cut off, and they were stranded over there.

Others said that it didn't matter, and that the whole of humanity should just pack their bags and move there immediately. For the discoveries that were found by the initial scout team were simply too great to ignore.

In the year 2228, governments all across the world announced that they would be celebrating the dawn of the new decade by opening up the newly replicated portals to the public, just as the first clocks in the world struck 0000 hours January 1st, 2230.

The use of the portals would be free for anyone who wanted to go, but whether or not you could survive on the other side...
