《A Time for Leisure》Chapter 9: Idiot

"What the fuck do you think you are doing?" Caz was extremely angry. This man had attempted to assassinate his friend right in front of his face.
"W-who are you? Where did you come from?" The assassin would have kneeled in the face of this pressure if he wasn't being held up.
The assassin had no time to even think before Caz's hand suddenly found itself latched on his throat. "Why do you want to kill her? Hmm?" Caz asked while his lips formed into a gentle smile. The assassin found this smile to be more terrifying even compared to his eyes.
The assassin said nothing as he had sweat rolling down his face.
"Don't wanna talk, eh? Fine by me! It just makes my job so much easier." Caz flicked his forehead as the man was instantly unconscious.
Amelia was still sitting there wide-eyed, Caz threw the assassin on the floor and walked over to her. She flinched as his hand landed on her head. She felt the same sensation she felt yesterday at the entrance exam flow through her body as she calmed down.
"All good? It must have been quite a scare for some pervert to suddenly come into the house, right? I bet he must have wanted to steal my underwear. Disgusting!" Caz joked in an attempt to make her relax.
Amelia instantly threw herself onto him as she wrapped her arms around him. Even though she was called 'Battle Princess', it was more of a complimentary title given to her by her father.
She had never participated in a war but she was well aware of the feeling of killing intent. Although she had felt killing intent before, it wasn't anywhere near the same level compared to the assassin. The killing intent she felt before wasn't aimed at her, the assassin, however, had focused the entirety of it on her.
Caz smiled as he gently started to pat her head. "It's alright, I'm here." This continued for a few minutes before Amelia finally calmed down. Slightly sniffing, she said "What do we do now?" as she looked up to him. Caz found this to be extremely adorable but it wasn't the right time for this, unfortunately.
"Hmm, we should go find Elder Diaz," Caz said after thinking for a bit. Elder Diaz was the elder that brought the disciples to their residence.
"mhm, okay." Amelia gave a quiet nod.
Caz separated from Amelia as he picked the assassin up with one hand and dragged him out of the hotel. Even though it was still very early, there were quite a bit of people around. Looking at Caz dragging someone, they were surprised at first but soon got over it. They had seen weirder things.
"Excuse me, where may I find Elder Diaz?" Caz asked with a polite bow towards the residence manager. The manager glanced at the man.

"Uh, sir? Who is this man and why are you dragging him?" The manager said while his mouth slightly twitched.
"It's an assassin. I caught him in my room." Caz didn't say much but the words had terrified the manager.
The manager, while not the strongest in the sect, was still very strong. He had not even noticed this man come into the residence and he had been standing at the front desk since yesterday. The manager had cold sweat running down his back, this 'assassin' could have killed him at any time and he wouldn't have even noticed.
"Elder D-Diaz should be around the front gate. He usually stands guard there." The manager said with a slight frown on his face. How could this boy take out the assassin of which even he couldn't detect?
Caz quickly gave his thanks and walked out the door with Amelia. Caz had knocked the poor assassin into the next world as he wouldn't wake up anytime soon.
While walking down the road towards the entrance, Amelia played with her fingers as she thought about the previous experience. Luckily Caz had been there or she would have perished right then and there. This had made her terrified, but a strong resolve could be seen in her eyes. The resolve to get stronger.
Finally reaching the gate, they saw Elder Diaz sitting in a chair while reading a book. Elder Diaz looked up and saw the duo walking towards him with a person being dragged behind them. He frowned a bit and stood up.
"Good morning, who is that and why are you dragging him?" Elder Diaz said with a slightly annoyed voice. He could feel a headache coming on.
"Good morning Elder, this man is a big pervert. He tried to sneak into my room and steal my underwe-," "Shut up! This man came into the room and almost killed me! I would have been dead if Caz wasn't there. Where were you, huh?" Caz tried to speak first but was quickly interrupted by Amelia with a snarky remark.
"What?! You're sure?" Elder Diaz was shocked, how could this assassin make his way to their residence without being noticed? Clearly, whoever wanted the princess dead must have paid top dollar.
"As sure as shit, now where should we take this guy? I'm getting tired of holding him," Caz complained as he starting stretching lazily. He didn't get enough sleep last night and this guy just had to come knocking. Amelia gave a quick jab to his stomach.
"We must take this man to the Patriarch, he will contact the King. Normally we'd just kill this man but since the life of the King's daughter is on the line, we can't do that." Elder Diaz was quite worried about this, he knew he would be reprimanded for such a major fault.

He grabbed Caz, Amelia and the assassin and started flying towards the top of the sect. Landing on the ground near a giant door, Elder Diaz inserted the head of his ring in a little hole. The door slowly opened with a loud creak.
"Come on, we haven't got all day," Elder Diaz said as he started walking again with a brisk pace.
Before long they came up to another door, this one was much smaller but had a sturdier feeling than even the giant one. Elder Diaz walked up to the door and gently knocked in a weird pattern.
"Come in." An old ancient voice echoed from the other side of the door.
Elder Diaz gently opened the door and gestured for Caz and Amelia to walk in.
"Oh? Hello little Amelia, it's nice to see you again." The Patriarch said with a smile. The Patriarch looked like a kind old man that you could find anywhere, but his vigour was still visibly going on strong. He had ignored Caz's presence when he saw Amelia. She was basically his granddaughter, why would he care about some random new disciple.
He had a gentle smile on his face until he saw the unconscious man. His expression suddenly changed as he looked a bit serious.
"Greetings Patriarch, I apologize on the sudden disturbance but I thought this was of great importance. An assassin was caught sneaking attempting to murder the princess." Elder Diaz bowed and said with a very respectful tone. It was clear that he had fully admired this Patriarch straight down to his bones.
"Hmm, I see. And why did no one detect this intruder?" Patriarch Mountain said with a grim tone. This little girl was basically a long lost relative to him, why would he not be fuming when he heard that she was almost murdered.
"We believe the assassin has a cultivation base that rivals even the stronger elders, sir." (Elder Diaz)
"A very strong assassin sent to kill a mere Foundation Establishment cultivator? How cowardly." Patriarch Mountain snorted with disdain. The elders of the sect were at Core Formation or above. The stronger ones were even at the Spirit realm. "And how did you catch this assassin, then?"
"None of the elders can take credit for this one, sir. This young disciple knocked the assassin out and brought him to me." Elder Diaz said before making a weird face at the end. He had never realized, how had this young man knocked out an assassin at the Spirit stage? Why did he never question this? It was almost like his body assumed this to be a natural thing.
"What? You expect me to believe this child has done what even the elders couldn't do? Do you take me for a fool?" Patriarch Mountain was fuming once more as he even stood up.
"I don't see the big deal, he's just a mid-Spirit stage cultivator." The disciple in question lazily scratched his head and looked at the Patriarch with a bored expression.
"Who said you could talk, young man?" Patriarch Mountain said as he sent some of his aura towards this youngster. He meant no harm, he just wanted to teach this child some manners.
"Calm down old man, I'm just as anxious as you. My friend was almost murdered and you're more worried about how I act?" Caz said with a slight smile on his face.
The Patriarch was slightly stunned for a second, this young devil really had some guts, he had to admit. Looking at the young man now, he was quite surprised to see a Devil around here. He had seen quite a few in his time but he never recalled any being in the sect. Most chose to cultivate in other continents where there were more races besides humans.
"Hahaha, you've got some guts, kid! I like it." Patriarch Mountain suddenly laughed as he slapped Caz on the shoulder. "One second, let me contact her father, he needs to know about this." Patriarch Mountain went to a corner in the room and lightly tapped on a small rune.
The rune lit up and the place began to glow as 2 figures suddenly appeared in the room beside Patriarch Mountain.
It was a man and a woman, the man was quite handsome with medium length brown hair with blue eyes. The woman was like an exact replica of Amelia with blonde hair and white eyes.
"Mommy, daddy!" Amelia exclaimed as she ran towards them with a big smile on her face.
"Amelia!" The woman quickly walked towards her and tightly embraced her. These 2 people were the rulers of Cou Kingdom, the King and Queen.
They had already been informed by Patriarch Mountain as soon as he touched the rune. They had quickly teleported here through the Teleportation Device in the rune.
The King smiled as he watched his wife and daughter, but soon his attention was turned to the lazy looking Devil standing next to Elder Diaz.
"I heard that you saved my daughter. I don't know if I can believe that a young man like you saved her from a Spirit stage assassin, I don't want to accuse you but it seems very likely that you're an accomplice to this man." The King said as he eyed Caz with a wary expression.
"Father!" Amelia yelled when she heard this, she wouldn't just sit there and listen to him berate Caz as if he was the assassin's helper.
Caz just stood there while calmly picking his nose.
"Are you some kind of idiot or something?"
