Green_Turtle_Boy_369 was pleasantly surprised. He hadn’t expected that Jake would actually come with him today. Jake had figured that following Green_Turtle_Boy_369 would keep him well away from all those frightening women.

Jake stepped into the shiny hover-cart that Green_Turtle_Boy_369 had got behind the wheel of, and they shot across the palace grounds. Jake and Green_Turtle_Boy_369 wouldn’t be leaving the palace today, but the grounds were huge and they took ages to cross. As they flew past, Jake spotted hordes of gardeners maintaining the bog, and loads of children playing in the peaty filth. It stinks, thought Jake but in Crawk having a peat bog in your back garden was a true sign of status. There were even peat centres set up which people paid huge amounts of money to every month so that they could visit and bathe in the warm, rich goodness.

As they flew over, people called his name and waved at him. “Jake45! Jake45!” He truly was a celebrity.

It took a good ten minutes before they parked up at the lime green tower in which Green_Turtle_Boy_369 lived. Green_Turtle_Boy_369 had told Jake that the main wing of the Crawkling Palace glowed in the night-time and it could be seen clearly from space. It didn’t take much imagination to believe this, its luminescence was obvious in the day.

What Green_Turtle_Boy_369 hadn’t told Jake, was that the Tower of Power was home to the Crawkling’s extensive surveillance system, Lapine_Death_Corps which spanned the whole universe. Powering this unrivalled network, the luminous green main wing of the palace was the most powerful antenna in existence. It was because of this Tower of Power that Crawk had managed to gain the intelligence necessary to trick Jake into taking the flack for beginning this war, to discover the identity of the Rearguard Beagles’ legendary war leader, the Simeon, and to get one of their leading spies into the Federation of Secret Investigation for the Outer Galaxies, FOG. Jake was about to enter the Headquarters of Lapine_Death_Corps, and meet his arch-nemesis, the Grand-Zombie-Master.

Jake and Green_Turtle_Boy_369 stepped through the main entrance of the Tower of Power and were greeted warmly by Green_Turtle_Boy_369’s parents.
