When Zach ran up, the entire group was talking about someone named Grant Marshal.

“Talk to me, what did you find?” Zach said.

Sofia looked up from a leather bound book, her face a mask of worry and confusion.

“We found this research log book. It has information on the Source Crystal, but it looks like it is written in a dead language.” Sofia said.

“Here let me have a look at it.” One of the teachers said.

Sofia hands the log to the teacher and looks over to Zach.

“Have you ever heard of a guy named Grant Marshal? He is the author of the log.” Sofia asked Zach.

“Yes, I have. He is one of the founders of this Library.” Zach responds.

“Wait what? I thought that the Library of Alexandria was constructed by Demetrius of Phalerum, one of the students of Aristotle.” Conner asked right behind Zach causing him to jump.

Sofia snickering, she explained that in 48 BC Julius Caesar was besieged at Alexandria. He set fire to the library and the knowledge was lost. But in the early 18th century a group of great minds, one of which was Grant Marshal pooled their resources and reconstructed the Library underground.”

“I see you have been doing your research.” Zach said to Sofia.

Just then the teacher with the log cried out in triumph. “I figured out what language it is written in. It looked like Icelandic at first but in further examination I have concluded that it is Old Norse.”

During this whole charade, Bones was hanging back looking at an artifact on one of the shelves. But when he heard the mention of Old Norse, he perked up.

“In my many years of life I have not heard of that language in some time. Luckily for all of you, I have a masters in Old Norse. Let me see it.”

The teacher handed the log to Bones and he began to read it out loud.

Many people have tried to get their hands on it with malicious intent. But since the Source Crystal is such an important object that humanity must protect, we have hidden it somewhere in the world.
