Zach opened the door to his new living arrangements and walked in. It was a small one bedroom apartment in the dorms of the Academy. Zach put his stuff down and looked around. It had been three days after the explosion in the streets of Chapin.
“There is food in the cabinets and hygiene stuff in the bathroom.” said somebody behind Zach.
Zach turned around to see a tall man in cargo shorts and a hoodie, he wore his long brown hair in a ponytail.
“I beg your pardon?” Zach said.
“I’m sorry, my name is Reilly O'Malley, I live next door to you.” Reilly said offering Zach his hand.
“I’m Zach Carter, it is nice to meet you Reilly.” Zach said taking Reilly’s outstretched hand.
“So Zach, Where are you from?” Reilly asked Zach.
“I don’t remember where I was born but I’m coming from Chapin.” Zach replied
“Really, Chapin. Isn't that where that explosion hit?” Reilly asked Zach.
“It was, I was one of the first responders.” Zach said.
“I hope everybody made it out OK.” Reilly said with concern in his voice.
Just then Conner walked up. He was carrying a bag in one of his hands and in the other he was holding a binder.
“Oh hay Conner. What do you have there?” Zach asked quickly, changing the subject.
“Well this is a present for you to settle into your new living arrangements.” Conner said holding the bag out to Zach. Zach opened the bag and was met with a pleasant surprise. The bag was filled with boxes of Western sword fern tea. Before Zach could say thank you, Conner held out the binder to him.
“Mr. Avner showed me what you made for him and I was wondering if you could make me this?” Conner said.

“Wait a minute, Did you say Avner? As in Lieutenant Avner Saxe?” Reilly asked.
“Yes, the one and only Avner Saxe.”, ”Zach here has known him for; how long now?” Conner asked Zach.
“For about ten years now.” Zach said to Reilly while taking the binder from Conner.
“I have heard of Lieutenant Avner Saxe’s Combat prowess, You should go to the Administrators and get him a job as the new combat instructor.” Reilly said.
“What happened to the last one?” Zach asked.
“She took maternity leave.” Conner answered for Reilly.
Conner looked at his watch, “I have to go, Oh and Zach feel free to redesign the project if you want, give me a list of materials and I will get them for you.” Conner said.
After Conner had left Zach talked with Reilly a little while longer. Once the two had parted ways Zach went into his apartment and sat on the couch. Opening the binder he was met with the designs of a re-curve bow. Zach settled down and got to work on redesigning the bow with the additions he had in mind.

Rise for the Sky [Slow-Pace Multi-Lead Dungeon Crawler]
Sixty people have awoken at the bottom of a one hundred floor dungeon. Together they must confront the terror of monsters and seek the answers to why they are here. Expectations: This story is written from multiple perspectives, male and female. Most chapters are a single person, but there will be chapters where there are a couple of quick scenes with different people. The story does take place in a dungeon, but there is no leveling system. This a realistic take on the classic litRPG and iskai tropes written like a traditional novel. There is a profanity warning because I wish to be natural with how people talk and cursing is a thing people do. So it will happen where it makes sense. Gore is warned because this is a realistic take, and people will be torn apart by monsters. I don't plan to be overly detailed with it but be warned it will happen. Updates Every Monday. Chapters will be between 3,000 to 5,000 words. Fulfill Patreon goals to increase updates

The Morrigan
Reality started crumbling the day I died and reincarnated. The enigmatic God offered some answers, but at the same time created more questions. Given a goal both absurd and ambiguous, I choose to start my new life. It sounded good and all, but first, I would have to avoid being eaten by my new family, or killed by the inhabitants of this new world. This is the story of how I tried to stay human when the world pushed me to become something else. A Swarm. Writing for fun and as a way to improve my English. Overpowered protagonist haters begone. The cover isn’t from my authorship, I just found it on the internet.

The Eternal Vigil
The year is 2220, a time when governments and nation-states are slowly becoming a thing of the past. Instead, all prominent parts of human society are now organizing around the commands of three great Artificial Intelligences, owned and operated by the world's largest corporation. World peace has been achieved, and the very word 'politics' has disappeared from people's lips. Religion has largely disappeared, replaced in some parts by worshipping of the great AIs, but mostly substituted by a devotion to material goods and faith in the market. There is now a general consensus that the best form of government has been found. No, it is not democracy, nor is it autocracy or oligarchy. Instead, it is technocracy - rule by the learned, the intelligent, and the skilled. And who are more learned, intelligent, and skilled than the great AIs? Exactly, no one. The AIs will correct some market failures once in a while, but shall otherwise let the market be free. After all, the freer the market, the freer the people. Some may question how society advanced to this stage, but that is all they will do - question. Because they will not find answers, for history is no longer taught anywhere. After all, it is not a practical subject. One cannot get a decently paying job with a history degree. Society doesn't have any time for people to idly ponder about the past. No, this is a practical society of practical people: engineers, doctors, lawyers, developers, managers, bankers, soldiers, and the such. My name is Aiden Scivit and I used to be one such practical man: minding my own business, doing my job, with the faith that hard work will always be rewarded by the market...and that politics and philosophy were things thought of by idly people who leech off society. But this all changed, and here is my story, my history. Just because the stories of ages long past have been erased, does not mean that a brand new beginning cannot be created. The story is already finished but I still need to do some editing so a chapter should be released each day for a month. It is a bit political, as you can probably tell by the introduction, so there is that (it will low-key read like a philosophy dump 10% of the time, so really it's like Atlas Shrugged but liberal and worse lol). Also, I actually wrote this in grade 10 as part of my MYP Personal Project, and recently touched up on it for online publication. Finally, if you find the writing style passable and are interested in my other works, check out the one in the link below. It is a fantasy set in the Ancient Greek world, and is completed and uploaded in full: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/35099/the-oresteia-modernized
