Zach opened his eyes.
“Good morning sleepy head.” Conner said.
Confused, Zach looked around and tried to sit up.
“Whoa there, don’t be too hasty Zach.” Conner said gently pushing Zach back down on the bed.
“What happened? Where am I?” Zach asked Conner.
“Mr. Rook said that your Connection had been established and you are in the recovery wing of the Academy.” Conner said smiling.
“Wait what? My connection had been established? I never had thought that it would be that painful.” Zach said.
“Painful? Zach It shouldn't have been painful.” Conner said with concern in his voice.
“Tell that to my body. It was like every cell was ripped apart and was stitched back together.” Zach said.
“Oh my god, I’m so sorry for you.” Conner said.
Just then Mr. Rook swept through the doors at the end of the room.
“Ah you are awake Zach, I hope you are feeling better.” Rook said.
“I've felt worse.” Zach said half heartedly.
“Well in due time. I look forward to seeing you in class Zach.” Rook said.
“Class? What are you talking about?” Zach said.
“Well since your Connection has been established, you need to learn how to control your ability. If you don’t learn then you could injure yourself or worse someone else. Conner can you help him to his house he needs to pack his things.” Rook said walking out of the room.
“Can you walk?” Conner asked Zach.
“I think so.” Zach said.
As he slipped from the covers Zach realized that he was wearing a pair of scrubs. Looking down he said, “Um who changed my clothes?”
Blushing Conner responded with “M-Me, It is not permitted for the administrators to do that sort of thing.”

“Oh… Um ok.” Zach said, his face wearing an identical heat.
“Come on let me help you.” Conner said
Together they walked down the hall of the Academy. Everybody was staring at them, more actually at Zach.
“Why is everybody staring at me?” Zach asked Conner.
“Oh um. I think you should look in the mirror.” Conner said, directing Zach to the nearest bathroom.
Looking in the mirror Zach was appalled. His skin was iridescent and was giving off an oil like complexion. When Zach moved, his skin would shimmer.
“What the actual hell!!!” Zach yelled.
“It is not that bad Zach.”Conner said.
“Bad? I look like oyster vomit!” Zach said.
“Oyster vomit?” Conner said, deeply confused.
“Pearls.” Zach said
“Oh, well to me you look better than before.” Conner said.
“Thank you.”Zach said, half believing it.
They managed to make it to Zach’s house before dark, when they got there Mr. Avner was there waiting.
“Heimdals beard, what the hell happened to you Zach?” Avner said.
“I will fill you in Mr. Avner. Zach you should go in and lay down.” Conner said.
Zach left the two and laid down. He was sore all over and the walk from the Academy did not help. He closed his eyes and fell gently to sleep.
When he awoke the sky was beginning to lighten. He looked over and saw Conner still sleeping on a pile of blankets. Zach smiled and got up. Thinking about Conner’s sleeping form Zach realized that Conner was cute. With that thought in his mind Zach started a pot of tea.

Until You Do It Right
The world ended on December thirty-first of the year two thousand and twenty, precisely at the stroke of midnight. The human race began to be systematically exterminated by the spawn of the System. We were given a chance to defeat them, to take back our place at the top of the food chain. We failed. The first to perish were those who bravely rebelled. The soldiers. The defenders. One by one, they fell. In their final moments, they begged for aid. Nobody replied. The next to succumb were those who feebly cowered. The deniers. The leeches. Together, they fell. In their final moments, they cried out into the darkness. Countless voices replied in kind. The last to decline were those who shamelessly ran. The deserters. The cowardly. Alone, they fell. In their final moments, they whimpered quietly. There was nobody left to answer. The final human to die was a survivor. A runner. As he died, he begged for salvation. His prayers were answered. He was offered a chance to save himself, along with all of humanity, and he took it. This is his story. “I sat in the dark and thought: There’s no big apocalypse. Just an endless procession of little ones.”― Neil Gaiman, Signal to Noise. I am absolutely new to writing and will take any and all constructive criticism. Please give feedback, it is greatly appreciated. I will update the tags as they change, and I hope that you enjoy this little story I'm writing! Quick warning: Seamus is intentionally a flawed character, and this story is going to explore those flaws and perhaps even change a few of them. I do not agree with all of his actions, but it is what it is.

Invader Nimh
Not all invasions go without a hitch. Just ask Nimh. His invasion should have been easy, straightforward and not overly time exhausting. From the bottom of F-Rank, he will need to ascend to the Heights of S Rank and if he's lucky, not die along the way. Some Invasions just aren't worth the headache.

Wilberforce
The seven worlds have been a place of war and carnage for hundreds of years. The strong enslave the weak and take over their world just to have some extra space. A race of demi-humans takes over the priceless first world for years. The humans grow tired of living in the lower worlds and challenge the demi-humans to war. Armad is an innocent bystander from the third world whose village is engulfed by the war. He doesn't care about ambitious humans or greedy demi-humans. All he wants is to save his dying mother. Will he be left alone to cater to his mother, or will the universe be cruel enough to stand against him? *** Rpg system has no stats or leveling up (not in the traditional way), but there are numbers. MC is strong from the word go and he has a specific goal. He's also learned many skills before the beginning of the novel, so don't expect a murderhobo for levels. That being said, the mc will grow stronger and will have become so strong (not overpowered) by the end of the first book. There are many races besides humans but they are not the main focus of the story, so they will only appear when the plot involves them. This novel is dedicated to the late William Wilberforce. *** I made the cover picture from picart. Original images don't belong to me. If you are the owner and you want it removed just pm me.
