“You have been caught stealing food from the caravans, although I do not condone your actions but many residents have stated that your actions have been to help feed the starving… How do you plead?” the judge said.
“Your honor, I plead guilty” Zach says.
In disbelief the judge stares back at Zach and asks him to repeat himself. Zach does and the judge clears his throat.
“Since you have pleaded guilty and did the crime to help people I sentence you to 72 hours of community service in which you will pick up trash and do yard work in the Academy’s campus” the judge says.
Zach was led out of the courthouse and the guard said that Zach will arrive at the front gate of the Academy at 07:00 tomorrow or he will go find Zach. With a nod of his head Zach left to go back home. In the morning he arrived at the front gates, there were three other people there two of them were people sentenced with community service and the other was the same security guard from the court house.
“Well it looks like we have everybody, let's set some ground rules first. No talking to one and another. No keeping trash unless we clear it. No interfering with the study of the Connected. If you violate any of those rules your time gets extended by a full 24 hours” The guard states.
With his trash bag and trash pike, Zach starts picking up trash. It was 3 hours later when he picked up a upterned trash can. When he grabbed a hold of it a raccoon jumped out and snarled at him, but before it could start slashing at Zach’s face it was enveloped in a fireball.
“You have to be careful around the trash cans, the raccoons are always a pest” A girl said walking up to Zach.

“Thank you” Zach said
“Don’t mention it, my name is Sofia Arnold. What's yours?” she asked Zach
“Zach Carter” he responded
“What did you do to deserve Community service?” Sofia asked
“I stole food from the caravans to help feed the starving” Zach said
“Well that was nice of you, why?” Sofia asked
“Somebody had to take care of the weak, the Caravans sure the hell don’t. So I stepped up.” Zach stated.
“Well I think you should get a tour as a thank you for helping the less fortunate””Yo Bennet, I’m taking my new friend for a tour” Sofia yelled back to the guard incharge of overseeing the work.
“I’m really sorry but I will need to take a rain check on that tour, I have work to do and I don’t want to have my time stacked up.” Zach said
“Nonsense, I won't have it” Sofia interjected.
With that Zach had no choice but to be given a tour of the Academy. She showed Zach the range for The Connected with ranged abilities, the court that had a fencing competition going on at the moment, and a garden with magnificent flowers blooming.
