Was the system listening to their very thoughts? Watching their every move, the very thought terrified them. They no longer felt safe.
What was it doing all these things for? All these questions were what they wanted to ask.

Silence permeated through the empty white void, everyone too busy thinking of the implications of what they just heard. The system was alive, and it was watching them using their data to update itself.
Now it was trying to stop them from getting anymore information about it.
They all depended on the system now, since without it, they would have been mortals all their lives, never knowing what true power tasted like, but like everything in life, it wasn’t free and always came at a cost.
The sudden realization felt like cold and hot water being poured over their head how could have they all missed something so obvious? Was the system messing with their minds too? More dread crept up their spine as they uncovered what could be the truth.
