The waves of luck!!! Some say that beginner's luck could be scary, but... in truth... Antonio just rides it! The so-called "Beginner's Luck!!!" Let's go back 6 minutes ago to know his thought process:
"Something is really fishy here. There's no doubt about it, this boss is trying to bankrupt us! I don't know why the hell he is bothering himself with a petty amount such as 2,500 Pesos but... they're trying to bankrupt us! For his plan to work... they must be trying to let us win first!"
In a casino, some dealers are letting the players win! After those wins, they're going to convince the player to play again... because luck is on their side right now. The player can't help but believe that because of what he won... but in truth, It's just a trap set by the dealer to make you bet more!
This is already an obvious trick, but for some reason... so many people are still falling for it! That's why... the so-called "Beginner's Luck" was born! But It's just a facade! A facade by cheating conman and cheaters! Like a mist made by them... and the moment you walked right into that mist, you won't have any sense of right and left... that's why you don't have any choice but to walk forward! Forward and forward and forward... until you reached... destruction!!! Bankruptcy!!!

Just like it, Jose tried to bet on a small amount... because he doesn't know if he'll actually win or not. If he happens to lose, he still has some money... If he happens to win, that's a good thing!
"So if they think that we're going to bet a low amount of money, then we have to ride it!"
After that, Antonio whispered these words to Jose...
"Please bet 1,000 on the number you betted earlier..."
"Wha-!?"

Seeing Antonio's eyes, Jose can't help but to trust him and bet 1,000 on the same number, 1. After that, Antonio came back to the corner. The multiplier was 6, and Jose just won the number 1. Just when Yanlei was about to pay him 600 Pesos, Antonio retaliated by saying that they just bet 1,000. After inspecting the money, they saw that It's really a 1,000 Pesos Bill. At that time, Yanlei paid 6,000 Pesos. This is the line of events that happened after that.
Antonio's trick of betting 1,000 only worked because of two things. One, because Jose bets 100 before he introduced the multipliers. Since there's no actual reason for Jose to make his bet higher or even lower, he still thinks that he's going to bet a hundred.
Two, because the room was dark on the side where the roulette board stands. There's only a faint light in the ceiling and It's enough for them to see each other and the number on the roulettes.
But...!!! It's not enough to distinguish a 100 Pesos Bill and 1,000 Peso Bill! A 100 Peso Bill is a Purple tinted color, while the 1,000 Peso Bill is a blue-tinted color. Plus... the board where Jose puts the bill is red! In a roulette table, there are only two colors in a checker like a pattern, black and red.

A combination of a blue paper plus a red board, then a faint light will result in a color fusion. Resulting in Yanlei to see a violet paper on the board. Same with the dealer, because he wears a mask... he just gave the bet a quick look then spun the roulette. If he actually spent some time to look at it longer... he could signal Yanlei that the bet was 1,000 then immediately changed the course of the ball, well, if he wants to.
That's why... Antonio's trick was only brought by a couple of coincidence! Truly, a beginner's luck! But...!!! They don't know that the demon lurks inside the room will not make this kind of thing happen again.
