《Newborn King: Birth of a Legend》Chapter 1: Rebirth & This World

What is the meaning of my life?
Is it... for the people?, for my kingdom?, for fame, glory, status, wealth?.
No.
Lying in my bed, in my final moments wondering..
The name that has been bestowed upon me, King Veyn Marcus Ùn Georgle VI.
I earned it.
Through all my despair, my suffering.
The feeling and the human emotions I lost. All for the sake of others.
No time for myself...
I hope.. in my next life..
I will.. relive.. my..
Choices.
Wha! Waa! Whaaa!
The sound off a baby crying.
A woman holding me in her arms.
This is..
My.. birth?
Chapter 1: Rebirth & This world
It's been 6 months since I found out that I've reborn, and I'm still getting used to this infant body.
My mother is working as a housewife and has been Breastfee-
Ehem!
It is unsightly and a bit embarrassing for a once Mighty and great king to be.. Suc- Getting fed by another person.
Well, I won't sweat the details but
I know I've been reborn and
I'm still sure why and how I was given a chance to relive my past mistakes AND still keep my memories.
My father is a retired adventurer due to an unfortunate situation which costed him to lose his job.
While doing research on "This world",
yes, it's a different world than where I was from.
This world is more on the magical side but it is undeveloped and kind of looks like,
The middle ages of Europe.
The control and efficiency here are remarkably lower than my original world. My world is more the modern times. There were things people built called "androids".
And other things that people would typically find in a Futuristic webnovel.
In my world, to be king you have to be the strongest and have a brain capable of processing and thinking of battle plans and things that can possibly improve the livelihood of your subjects.
While "Being the strongest will get you the title: King" may sound barbaric, it is needed for my world that is always in wars and battles against each other.
I mentioned before that my world had stronger control and efficiency in magic.
That is because my world has a unique power that develops like here in this world.

In our younger years, called
"Kitris" or in short "ki".
It's much easier to control ki in my world because since ancient times my world's ancestors have been researching and nourishing our knowledge on how to use ki in a more efficient way, and me being "King" gave me the privilege to learn the best techniques that there were.
I've also created some ways to control my ki better and it was more efficient than the things I learned in doing so.
Gathering my ki from below my belly button.
Wrapping around my heart using vessels.
Accelerating the speed of the beating of my heart, enough to increase control of muscles through my brain.
By doing this the efficiency and acceleration of my thinking and controllable capacity will multiply in numbers.
In my past world, both my parents were.....dead
Though I loved them very much, the time that we spent together was short.
I quite enjoy my life with the love my new parents has given me.
Even though I've spent only 6 months with them I feel our connections between each other.
My household ran out of stock so, my mother I went to the market to get some.
While walking through the marketplace, there were many unfamiliar numbers and currency for me.
I guess my mother just saw the curiosity in my eyes and told me about the financial system in this world.
The currency in this world is entirely different from what there were in my world, here there are only coins.
In ascending order:
Copper (Small, Big)
Bronze
Silver (Small, Big)
Gold
Platinum Gold (Big)
Imperial Gold.
For average people, Copper, Bronze and Silver are normal.
Gold and above are most seen with High class- Adventurers and Nobility.
Mother went on a fish market and caught a fish similar to a salmon.
She also paid with 13 coppers.
I had some problems with this world's language but in passing years I foresee that I will get proper education from my parents.
While watching my father practice his morning exercises, I thought to myself, "How does he manipulate the air like that?".
I crawled my way to mother and pointed to my father practising outside.
Once again, my curiosity showed when my eyes twinkled with them.

Mother chuckled and told of a common concept is known by all people.
It was..
A concept of elements so to say, Magic.
Earth
Water
Light
Dark
Plant
Fire
Wind Magic
These are the basic elements that are commonly found in people.
Father showed his elements through his practices, he lifted rocks and manipulated air all around, so I guess he was an air battlemage?
In rare cases, people unlock unique Elements that and is called: Blesion.
(Coming from the English word blessed)
is:
Lightning
Ice
Sound
Spatial
Gravity Magic
Though people can develop their own magic when their control is advanced enough.
There's another Element that is unlocked through priesthood by serving and praying to the gods for 2 years giving the ability to be a "Healer"
From hearing about father and mother's adventures, they told me about other races coexisting and fighting against humans.
In this world, there are 4 races these are: Elven, Dwarven, Human and Beastman
In a journey to guard a trade between humans and elves that is in one of my father's and mother's experienced
They told me about how,
Elves are spiritual creatures they serve the spirits of the forest.
Elves are all beautiful.
With their long ears, Blond hair and Amazing body proportions.
Cut off by the elves for their outrageous behaviours and cursed powers.
There are also Dark Elves
Same qualities as normal elves but with dark skin.
Elves Typically unlock Plant or Wind elements, due to their race being adept in forest and their ability to use bows accurately.
Elves are also capable of unlocking Lightning and sound magic.
While on a journey to find a perfect weapon for my father, my parents went on an adventure within the dwarven society.
They told me that most dwarves are short and muscular.
Most of them live underground and is more civilized than humans.
Dwarves are extremely good at making weapons. Every Dwarf in the dwarven race is talented at blacksmithing and Architecture.
Also, most Dwarves unlock the Earth element. But only rarely unlock Gravity Magic.
My mother revealed some information about beastmen and left out the rest for some reasons.
Beastmen are strong creatures, though in my world people may find their tails and ears "cute".
There are numerous types of Beastmen. The rarest are Pheonix and dragons Types. Also the strongest.
Most beastmen can unlock any of the basic elements depending on the types of their race.
Beastmen also unlock all the Unique elements except for ice and lightning.
The reason my mother left out some information is that,
The sad fact about beastmen is that they are used as slaves because of their uncivilized nature and wild personalities.
Though humans may be the cause for that.
Humans are Humans. The well known cruel and greedy creatures most are the wicked types kind of like evolved goblins while the rest are kind and gentle people. Like my parents for example.
Humans can unlock all the elements including the unique ones.
Humans have the upper hand in magical ability
Monsters also exists in this world.
They are also used as slaves for more combat assistance.
Monsters are divided into 6 groups
these are ranging from
S-class to be the strongest
A-class
B-class
C-class
D-class
E-class
F-class as the weakest
My father came back from practising and asked what we were talking about.
My mother told him that we were talking about their adventures.
My father's eyes lit up with pride and I almost saw smoke coming out of his nose when he said, Jeyn, I'll tell you something.
In one of my adventures, I encountered a wyvern.
It was big and strong and flew like it was the king of the skies.
Your mother and I teamed up to defeat that monster. I'm not lying of course.
Then he went to the kitchen to get a cup of water.
There's also legendary class, but monsters that appear in here is only either myths or rumours.
My mother ended her story and just smiled and told me, Anyways Jeyn, this is a too early age for you to be learning this.
You should wait and grow up to learn more and more!
She eventually went back to continue washing the dishes.
In 4 years
I plan to unlock my Ki or "Mana" as they call it here.
I may not know who sent or why he or she sent me here but.....
Thank you.

The Desecrator's Tomb - A Numbers Lit-aRPG
A man appears in a dungeon full of undead. He tries to leave. This is my attempt at writing a litrpg where the system is more formalized. This means that there will be a fair amount of min-maxing and we will hopefully be able to calculate the dps of every ability by the time I am done. Expect math. The main character will become a Drain Tank. This story uses an aRPG item and stat system. Oh and one last thing. Beware the penguins. update 1/8/22: I am trying to simulate things as faithfully as is reasonable. As of chapter 17 there are animated gifs depicting Chilly's life throughout encounters. update 1/11/22: Kreksyte drew me a cover! All hail our artist overlords! update 5/25/22: Going on hiatus for a bit. The second arc is complete. Will come back for the 3rd and final arc soon. update 7/15/22: ayy...I've returned. Starting the third and final arc. [was once a participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
