《Ariana: Weakest Reincarnation》Chapter 2 We meet again

The world was dark… Just like last time. Am I dead again?
“Why howdy there” A familiar voice said to me. Yep, it's her that all-powerful girl. I would call her a god, but she said she doesn't like being called that as that title is too much responsibility.
“Huh what happened did that hit the-”
“You're fine, you're just knocked out right now” She interrupted me. Huh, am I able to talk again? Well I guess I should ask some questions.
“So why am I back here? It's only been a day or so” I ask.
“Ah right to the question, ok then I'll answer.” She would then smile. It was more of a grin than a smile actually.
“The reason is… Because I wanted to just chat while you were knocked out.
“What! Really, that's all?” I was surprised.
“Yep, but I also thought that I should also answer a few of your questions” She said to me.
“Ok then” I would think of a few.
“First one is why can't I talk?” I asked her.
“Oh that, that's simple. I just overloaded your brain a bit by giving you the ability to understand the language in this new world” She said to me. Huh? Really, does it work like that?
She then smiled. “Is that all you wanted to ask me?” She says like she was expecting me to ask more questions.
“No of course not… Uh” What should I ask? Oh yeah, I know what.
“So did you give me any kind of cool powers?” I asked hoping I got something. She stared at me, like she was thinking.
“Yep” She answered. I got excited and wanted to know what.
“And what are they?” I asked impatiently.
“I gave you two skills of importance, but i'm only going to tell you about one” Well that's disappointing but that's better than nothing.
“The skill I gave you is the-” The world would begin to warp.
“Oh you're waking up, guess I can't explain it in detail but i'll tell you the name of the skill” She would grin as she spoke.

“The skill is Sage, I'm sure you can figure out the skill yourself, don't waste it. It should be a great skill for someone like you” The world would fade away and her smile was the last to fade away.
Voices would echo in my head. “You alright?” And “Please wake up” My eyes would open and I was met with two faces. One of them was familiar to me and the other was new. She was wearing a mage costume?
“Oh great, you're alright!” The girl would hug me tightly. She seemed so worried for someone she barely knew. The mage just watched and then walked to the side of the room. I looked around the room and it was the cabin I was next to before I was knocked out.
The mage walked over to the ones who were planning on capturing this Sage person. Sage person? isn't my skill called Sage? Guess i'll figure that out at some point.
“So you were looking for me?” The mage said. Huh, her? Wait, is she the sage? If I remember, aren't Sages like super old. Don't tell me… I'll put that on hold for a bit.
“So were you?” She asked again. She was glaring at them with a serious glare. She had a staff on her back.
“N-no, of course not, why would we?” He said, shaking in fear.
“Oh… Really? Sorry about that. I must of miss read these plans to capture a Sage that was staying in the town” She then dropped a bunch of papers of the plan to capture the Sage.
“Oh well I’m sure you can explain it to the knights” She said. The criminals were taken away by some knights and now I was alone with the two.
“Are you ok, they hit you pretty hard?” The girl asked me.
I would nod to her as I got up.
“Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you my name. It's Sara. What’s yours? If you have one, that is” She said. I wondered if I should go by my old name? No, I think this is time for a fresh start. I would tell her I don’t have a name by shaking my head.

“Oh, you don't have a name? That makes sense considering you came from an e- '' She then catches her mouth. I guess she didn’t want to tell the other girl about where I came from just in case.
The girl turned over to us. “Well now that this is over” She would walk up to me.
“Who or what are you?” She asked me. I was a bit worried about that question and could only shrug to her.
“You have dark red hair, meaning you have a very high affinity to a certain magic. Interesting” She said amused.
“Your hair color does look familiar… Huh! Don't tell me you have that affinity?” She said surprised.
“What, is something wrong with her hair color?” Sara asked, confused.
“Let's not speak here, come with me. I'm staying at an inn in the town” We then would make our way into the town. We maybe it to her in and walked into her inn and walked into her room.
“Ok, so if your hair is a certain colors. That means you have a high affinity for certain magics. So that means I got an affinity for magic. I wonder what the sage is. She does have bright purple hair. I wonder what her affinity is. I want to ask her, but I have to figure out how to speak first.
Maybe all the information in my head is mixed up. If there was a way to unscramble it. I'll have to figure that out.
“So what is her affinity?” Sara asked.
“Well at first you could mistake it as a fire affinity. But her hair is too dark to be a fire affinity. So I came to the conclusion that her affinity must be…” She did a dramatic pause. Just say it already!
“It has to be Calamity magic” She said, both of us stared confused.
“Uh, what’s Calamity magic?” Sara asked.
“What! Really, you don't know? You should have at least heard of it if you're training to be a mage” She would suddenly jump from her calm self.
“Well I mean i'm only doing this to help my village. So it's not like something like that is needed” Sara responded calmly with a smile.
“Well I guess it's not the place to tell you what to learn” She says. She didn't seem to want to start a fight over something like this.
“Now maybe I should appraise her skills. If she has that affinity then she might have a bunch of other skills” She would look at me. Wait like right now.
“Before that, may I get your name? You haven't told me yet” Sara asked. Yes it would be good to know, better than just calling her Sage.
“Oh yeah sorry, the name is Stella Aster” She said. Sara would look surprised at this.
“Wait, really…” She was at a loss of words. But why? Was this person that important? I mean she's a Sage so that probably made her important in the first place.
“Yes…”
“Oh I thought you would have red hair” She said. I look at them confused as I didn't really know anything about this world. I think i'm being a bit overwhelmed by all this. Even if I could talk, I don't know if I'd be able to force out any words.
“Well, i'm the only one in my family that doesn't have bright red hair” She said. She did seem to be a bit uncomfortable to say that, but she forced that out.
“Now if that's over lets check her skills with my appraisal magic” She walks up to me. I wonder how this would work, or how it would feel. She lifted her hand up to and open to me, her hand would light up with a white light.

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

8 143The Destiny of a Mortal God (Hiatus)
Currently on hiatus, in part because I'm unsatisfied with how the story was starting to develop, and even though I had ideas how to run it, I still made mistakes far too big to correct them. Secondly I'm currently stressed about university, and sincerely, I don't see myself keeping this project. I may or may not retake this project or even start a new one, but one thing's for sure, it isn't happening anytime soon (Meaning until june, aprox, or until I can keep up with class). ... Lyon Ironblood, 19 years old and orphan, is taken by Kronos from the present Earth to another world, where he shall fight and struggle to get stronger so that he shall acomplish the mission Kronos assigned him. He shall fight gods, demons, dragons and monsters and even mortals who surpass those. But to do so he shall receive, though only after he proved himself worthy, a power beyond imagination. This power will not be handed freely to him, and he'll have to work hard to develop it. He shall receive the X-Men System. A magic system designed to enhance Lyon and give him the mutations from the X-Men serie. He shall start from scratch, with powers that will seem less than a mere human, and develop them with effort, to surpass the gods. [I don't claim ownership of any of the X-Men powers or characters, neither the cover, only thing I claim are the ideas which make the story and put together their powers, how they'll develop from scratch to even higher worlds than they were suposed on the series, other than that, all X-Men characters named (which I'll try to avoid to a certain point) are not of my property]
