《The Journey to Godhood: A Madman's Dream》Ch 21: Meeting the King

"Setting course to Velen City, quarter impulse.Hohoho." Uncle Lee flew the shuttle.
After a short time.
"Young master we are nearing Velen City."
"Good, slow down, thrusters only. Visuals."
A big city appeared it was Velen city, the capital of the kingdom Velen.
"Uncle Lee, are there any strange energies locked onto us?"
"No, seems like we haven't been noticed yet."
"Excellent, onward to the royal palace, slow and easy."
Elise and the rest were excited and looked awed as we flew over the never-ending seas of cobble buildings.
Merchants, street performers, workers, young and old people.People who looked wealthy, people who looked like beggars. The streets bustled with activity. Also, different races could be seen.
We passed the inner walls and the people got fewer and the buildings looked much more luxurious.
A big ass palace appeared on the screen.
"So this is the royal palace?"
"Yes, Ancestor, you have to be careful there is an invisible barrier that will detect us if we pass through."
"Hmm, Uncle Lee, full stop."
The shuttle was in front of the gate. What a royal palace it was, built with white stones and decorated with subtle golden carvings.
"Master, what's the plan, do we charge in?" Elise asked.
"No, there is no need. Uncle Lee, activate the shields, match our shields frequency with that of the barrier."
"Slow and easy."
I wasn't worried about triggering the alarm, even if we got to find out, Julius just needed to say a few words.
We passed the invisible barrier and flew towards the royal courtyard.
Suddenly a huge pressure locked onto us.
"Some found us, we are being scanned by soul force."
"Let it be, there is no reason to hide anything. Decloak and raise down shields."
"Yes, young master." Uncle Lee tapped the touch screen like a pianist and the shuttle decloaked, with no cloak we were revealed to every eye in the palace.
The pressure suddenly vanished. Seemed like the expert saw Julius.
On the screen, you could see armed guard storming the courtyard taking formation, behind them robed magician raised a shield. A burly man in highly decorated armor appeared from the mists of guards with haste.
"Who dares trespass the royal palace. Identify your self." The burly man
"Julius."
There was no need for words. Julius had a smile on his face while he nodded with determination.
"Uncle Lee beam us down, after I give you the thumbs up, land the ship."
My vision turned black and I was beamed down with Julius.
When the guards saw us beam down they became wary of us.
"Is this how you welcome a prince?"
"This... young prince?" The burly man was taken back.
"It is me, Julius van Velen. Now, could you make your man go away, Captain Howard? I dropped by because my venerable master wants to speak with my grandfather, the king!"
Julius' voice carried much more weight than usual.
"Master?" This Howard guy looked at me.
As soon as he saw me, a two-year-old, with long black hair and a black beard, he looked at me with strange eyes.
This was the time to test the effectiveness of the beard. I willed my beard to sway to make me look more mysterious. But contrary to my belief Howard instead of being stunned, tried to contain his laughter.
"This, I-m sorry, young prince." Howard turned around to the man that still stood there like a bag of potatoes.

"Get your asses back to post." The hundreds of guards retreated in a silence and order, vanishing as quickly as they appeared.
Howard turned around and approached us with laughter that rang through the whole palace.
"Young prince, you gave me a scare. You should have informed me that you are bringing an esteemed guest over."
"I'm John Howard, captain of the royal guards. I'm sorry if I have offended you, esteemed one."
"Hohoho." I stroked my beard. "There was no harm done now was it, I'm a man that holds no grudges."
"Is that so hahaha? You are too kind. If I may ask what is that flying building over there?"
"Oh, that? You could call it a carriage." I put my thumbs up and the ship landed.
Howard looked kinda stunned. Now that there was no threat, he soon seemed to realize the whole situation. The pagoda shuttle opened its door and the rest came out.
When Howard's eyes fell on Uncle Lee his eyes widen a bit.
"Welcome everyone, please follow me the king already awaits you." It seemed like he was ordered to bring us to the king by some kind of sound transmission. Good, this way was much easier.
"Finally, I was tired of waiting. Making us wait? Who think he is?" Elise complained.
"Hoho, please forgive this little girls rudeness." Uncle Lee acted swift and put his hand on Elise's head and made her bow her head. Elise was about to retort when Uncle Lee whispered something into her ear.
Elise freed herself from Uncle Lee hand and clicked her tongue.
"Che, can't be helped, hey you burly man."
"You mean me?" Captain Howard looked a bit lost.
"Yes, you. I didn't like the face you made when I dissed your king earlier. But since I'm a reasonable sister, I will let it drop."
"Elise, there is a time and place for your antics, today it's not. It's like riding a bicycle, sure drive it on the streets, but refrain from using it indoors or in important cutscenes."
"Being scolded by master equals ten years in hell. My poor mother, she shouldn't have taught me to be an honest girl."
"Now, now. We shouldn't let grandfather wait." Julius smiled a bit embarrassed, trying to defuse the situation.
I guess it was time to act a bit more proper. If a commotion broke out here it would benefit no one.
"Alright, alright, if we slack off any longer the king will pass from old age. Go and act properly in front of the king." I said.
Howard cleared his throat. "This way please."
. . .
Inside the palace was huge but it paled in comparison to my Profound Heaven Sect. Maids, servants, and guards were to be seen. When they saw me floating on a throne, strange looks were given me. Jaws dropped and even some suppressed laughs squeezed out like forced farts.
We arrived at front of a huge wooden door, it looked heavy and had profound carvings on it.
Howard pushed the door and a grand hall was revealed behind it. An old man was sitting leisurely on his throne, he wore golden armor, and a huge sword was leaned on the throne. His whole get up screamed battle maniac, I bet he even slept in his armor.
Besides him, a middle-aged stood with his hands behind his back. His face was not friendly at all. When he looked at Julius he even sneered. This bastard, how dare he look at my disciple like that. If he had any ill intentions, he should better stick it up his ass.

Arriving in front of the king everyone except for Elise, Uncle Lee and me got on their knees.
"You, how dare you still stand, get on your knees and pay respect to your king?" The middle-aged tosser barked.
"Uncle Lee, did you hear something?"
"What do you mean young master? I heard nothing."
"I see, must have been a passing fart. Thank god, I thought I was hearing things."
"You-"
"Enough." The king snorted and a blast of force overcame us. Everyone was effected except for Uncle Lee.
The king raised a brow as he sat upright.
Uncle Lee cleared his throat.
"Thank you for receiving us."
"Only a few dare refuse to pay respect to this king. Now a talking freak of a child and an elder with no signs of life, dare to disrespect this king? Amusing." The king's face was calm as he spoke in an icy tone.
Uncle Lee cleared his throat.
"You misunderstood, this one didn't come to talk as a subject but rather an equal."
"An equal?" The king raised a brow.
"To be equal with this king requires strength that this king can respect. If you can make this king, see you as an equal, of course, your past misconduct can be forgiven."
"Hohoho, indeed I was not mistaken, your wisdom precedes your age. Our outlook on respect is similar. Why don't you test if we are truly worthy of your respect? Unfortunately, due to various reasons, I can't show you personally, but my young master should suffice to show you the depth of our expertise."
The king's cold face turned warmer and he even had a slight grin on his face. He looked at Julius with meaningful eyes.
Julius who looked nervous the whole time stood up and nodded. His eyes were burning with willpower.
This made the king surprised.
"You have brought us some interesting guests, my grandchild."
"Thank you, grandfather, you praise me too much."
The king nodded in praise and stood up and walked towards us.
"Good, I like people who are not afraid of death, people who won't submit to higher power easily, people with self-respect, these qualities I can only admire. But I hate people who are only bark but no bite. Are you sure you are willing to take the risk and challenge this king?"
The king's eyes seemed sharp as a sword. His face showed no hostility yet it made me shiver.
"Bring it on. Let's make a deal, If I can endure a hit of you I win, If not I will perish." I said.
"Hahahaha, child you are crazy, do you think this king will lower himself to bully little children? You will fight a grandchild of mine."
"No thanks, I can't bear to bully the younger generation, you see I'm an educator at heart. Bullying the weak has no merit to me and goes against my core values."
The king's jaws dropped and for the first time, he seemed to lose his bearing. The tosser beside him was already a mix of shock and hatred.
"You." The king sighed. "Alright, let's make it so, if you defeat a grandchild on mine, we can exchange pointers."
"Alright, I will teach your grandchild what a real genius is. To help the young generation grow is befitting of this consummate educator of the highest degree. As a humble and upright citizen, the future of this kingdom is in my very best interest."
"F-father, why must you show them so much hospitality. This is outr-"
"You shut up! Take an example from Julius, when you invite guests it's always some filth with no backbone. All you princes do is complain and scheme, you want to forbid a man from speaking the truth? Now scram, Humph." The king snorted and knocked the poor prince away.
Injustice showed on this tossers face and he left the hall with his tail between his legs. Before passing by us he shot us a hateful glare.
"Lad, now listen. Usually, you would get a lot of trouble for saying something like that. Luckily I'm a reasonable person man and like the kind that speaks their mind."
The king was much more welcoming, he even called me lad.
"Scheming and backstabbing are the qualities of a coward. I Thorus, settle my bills face to face."
"Hohoho, good, good. Now let me see what you are made off." The King looked at the guard and ordered.
"Guard, bring Fiona over."
"Yes, your majesty."
"Fiona?" Julius gulped down.
"Who is she?" Elise asked.
"She is my cousin, a monster."
After some time the door opened and a blond female clad in armor marched in like a seasoned soldier. Her stuck out chest were plated with a silver armor adorned with red linings. The crest of the royal family a lions head was displayed fully on the chest piece. Her blue eyes were unwavering and the scar on her left eye gave her the air of a veteran.
She looked young, she must have been under 20 years old. To send such child against me, aiya, no matter if I win or lose, I would look bad.
"Your grandchild answers you call, grandfather." She went on her knee.
"Good, you may raise."
She stood up and took a suspicious look towards us.
"What can grandfather wish from this grandchild?"
"Always coming to the point eh?" A warm smile showed on his face.
He cleared his throat and continued.
"I want you to fight this lad." The King pointed his finger at me.
"I must fight a little freaky child? Why does he have a beard?"
"That's quite rude, well, I like difficult students."
A look of disgust was displayed on her tanned face.
"Are you sure that's a child grandfather? He is kind of creepy, he is more like a monster."
"You dare." Elise became agitated.
"Calm down, Elise. Now, now, thank you for the praise. I'm Thorus, a man amongst man, delivery of high-quality education."
The female knight looked to the king. "Go ahead, don't hold back Fiona."
The knight Fiona nodded and drew her sword.
"Prepare yourself."
Since Elise education, I never had the time to test my strength.
I jumped down from my flying throne and stretched a bit before going into a boxing stance.
"Where's your weapon?"
"My hands are my weapons. For you to force me to fight with weapons, you are ten thousand years too young to that. Now receive this granddaddy's fist little brat."
"What? You-" Before she could finish her sentence I was already dashing towards her.
My figure blurred and I must have left at least one after image.
Instead of being overwhelmed Fiona reacted in an instant. Her figure also blurred and she vanished on the spot.
Fast. Shit, her speed was no joke she vanished from my vision.
I instantly stopped and jumped high in the air.
Boom, the spot I was before was now a big crater.
How shameless, to deliver killing blows against a child like me. If it were another child would she also be this shameless?
I thought I was a bit safe up in the air but to my disappointment, a dozen of flying knives made their way. The cold steel lusted for my life flying to all my vital points. This crazy bitch.
"Parlor tricks." My beard and hair extended and wrapped me in a cocoon. A metal hitting metal sound rang out and the knifes bounced off.
"What?"When I retracted my hair Fiora became dumbfounded for a moment but as expected, she recovered quickly and dashed towards me. I just landed when she was already in range for another attack.
Fear kicked in and deathly crisis overhelmed me. Fiona struck her sword out and stabbed down towards me.
"Stop! Fiona!" The king shouted.
Fiona realized that her attack was a bit over the top. She tried to stop her attack, but it was already too late.
Just as fear had me at its clutches the seeds aura flared up and the time seemed to slow down. Without hesitation, I struck out with my augmented arm.
Boom.
My index finger met the sword tip of Fiora. Even though my artificial arm could resist her attack the force could be felt by my body.
I was about to be pushed back but I willed my hair to anchor me in place. Blood was leaking out of my mouth
Dragging out the fight would me do no good. Her sword strike came to halt, leaving behind a trail of destroyed tiles.
The moment her strike halted, I injected the power of the seed into the blood that accumulated in my mouth.
"Puh." I spat out the blood inside my mouth. Fiora became surprised and her reaction was delayed. She could only block her face in time. The places the blood landed begun to corrode and holes appeared on her armor.
It took a long time to describe but everything happened in a blink of an eye.
"W-What is this it burns."
"It's your defeat." I pointed my artificial arm and a red laser beam shot out.
A pained scream escaped her mouth as the laser beam went through one of the holes in her armor. The smell of burnt flesh could be smelled.
Clang. Fiora's sword fell to the ground. Her eyes rolled up and you could only see the whites.
She became unconscious on her feet. Did I overdo it? Nah, I made sure not to hit any vital points.
The hall became silent. Looking around I saw shocked expressions. Especially the king, he was dumbfounded.
"Don't worry she will be fine."
