《The Journey to Godhood: A Madman's Dream》Ch 10

The robed man and his men left the inn. They seemed quite nervous and were heading to the Forrest in big strides.
We followed them deep into the Forrest.
I infused my eyes with the seed of hatred's power. Doing so allowed me to see other's mana. Depending on the mana fluctuation I could determine ones power level. I could have used a self taught spell to determine their strength. But finding out the uses of the seeds power was much more important.
These guys were nothing much, with the strongest being D rank.
As expected the robed man was the strongest of the bunch. He was at least D ranked. The other trash was not even worth mentioning.
`When are we going to strike`
`Now, just go and charge in.`
'Just go? No sneak attacks?'
'Sneak attacks are for pussies. Just charge in screaming. You only need to watch out for the robed man. Just don't kill them, only make them unable to fight.'
Elise nodded, she cracked her knuckles and charged in with no regards for stealth.
"Hey you fuckers ELise is coming for you."
"What?"
"Holy shit. It's the little brat. Why is she running towards us?"
"Ha, maybe she wants to apologize to me." Bould said in convinced manner.
"Hey turn around brat. The Forrest is dangerous." Said the boss.
"Hand over your lives trash." Elise was now standing right in front of the group.
"Hey, hey. What are you saying? Did I hear wrong."
I didn't want to miss out so I also went.
"You heard right baldie, I'm going to cause you great pain."
They looked into each eyes and burst out laughing.
"You better go back to your mommy. This is no place for children."
"Elise stop talking to them. Do your thing."
ELsie nodded and charged the robed man first. Her speed was sound breaking fast, in fact it was so fast that she left behind several mirror images.
"Wha-" Before the robed man could even react Elise's fist landed on his chest.
A sound akin to a thunderclap ringed out and the robed man's chest caved in.
"Julius noo." The baldie screamed and charged Elise with his twin swords. While the burly man checked on the robed man's condition.
"Elise you can kill this baldie just leave the rest alive."
A frown appeared on Elise's face. I felt her conflicting emotions through our link. However the negative emotions got devoured by the seeds power as soon it appeared.

The seed of hatred had the ability to convert ones negative emotion into power. A faint dark aura coated Elise body.
"Die."
The bald man's twin blades danced as they tried to hit their mark. Unfortunately for him, Elise was much too fast. She managed to dodge at the last second with barley any movement at all.
"Eat this.Twin Strike. Aaaaaah"
Baldie crossed his blades and slashed out.
A wind blade flew towards Elise throat.
"Insignificant."
Instead of dodging she let the wind blade go through her neck.
"You asked for it brat. You left me no choice." Baldie's arms and legs were shaking.
"Humph. You call this twin strike? My fart has more destructive power."
This... Look how she handled her self. I felt that my disciple would soon surpass me.
"How can this be? My twin strike didn't work."
"Welcome to the real life and now say good bye to it."
"Let both of us handle her." Said the burly man as he charged Elise. His courage was clearly shown by his battle cry.
He took his axe and swung it vertically. His double edged axe was so fast that it pushed the surrounding air.
Boom
A dust cloud appeared because of the attack. A figure flew out of the dust, it was the burly man. He had a grim expression on his face.
"How?"
"You got her?"
"It didn't feel right when I attacked. It felt like I was hitting something hard.
The dust cloud cleared and in it was Elise. Not one speck of damage could be seen. The modifications I made to her body paid out. She was a living tank.
"Master can I ?"
Elise looked at me, her eyes soften up as she saw me.
Well whatever, she should have her way.
"Make it so."
Her soft pink lips arched into a smile before turning in to a twisted face. The seeds aura rose and the dark aura that was only faintly emitting out was now gushing out like a water fall.
"Wh-What is this magic? It's suppressing me."
"Damn we need to do something quick, attack or our lives will be in danger."
"Too late."
"Damn you demon."
In a blink of an eye Elise vanished from the spot leaving behind a small crater.
"Aaah"
"Guegh"
Elise was holding the bald guy up in the air while choking him. Behind her the axe guy had collapsed with a huge hole in his torso.

"Do you regret offending my master?"
Muffled cries escaped from his mouth.
"Huh? I don't understand you. What? Ah, right." Elise tossed the bald guy towards me.
"No, please spare me. I have done nothing wrong. I'm just a rookie mercenary." He coughed trying to catch his breath.
"It's alright Elise I take over for now."
"Che, if you say so. You are lucky, you bald bastard. My master is a man of culture, so he won't make it too difficult for you."
She sure knew how to praise her master. I wondered where she learnt that.
"That's right. I, Thorus am a man of culture. The most profound elder that is older than your ancestors combined. A humble man with a virtues heart."
"Please let me go." The bald man pleaded he was staying on his kne
"Tell me one reason why I should let you live. You who has disrespected his elders and disregarded the heavens."
"I am too young to die. Have mercy."
The more he pleaded the more his negative energy rose.
Negative energy was not like mana. It was more more akin to the seeds power but much weaker.
I grabbed him by his neck.
"Well look at you. It's a pity that I have to kill you. This old man can't bear to see the younger generation suffer so I will make it quick."
"No- guehh."
Blood spilled on my face as I crushed his throat. Baldies`s eyes dimmed and his last face was that of fear and regret.
His soul started to separate from his body.
A bald headed soul was pulled towards heaven. It was clearly tainted as I could see dark specks of negative energy.
"As if I will let this soul go to waste."
I opened my mouth and begun sucking in the soul.
"Does it taste good?"
"No, it tastes of nothing really."
I went to the burly man. He was still alive but not for long it seemed. The hole in his chest was huge. For Elise to rocket trough him was brilliant. Barley seven years old and she could kill without a change in her expression.
Her blood tainted body with her cold yet child like appearance. Her will that was above the heavens.
So this is how it felt to be a grandparent.
To see the juniors grew and surpass the senior generation, I have no regrets.
"Master, stop stroking your non existent beard. What's with this sucker, he is still alive."
"End his life."
Without hesitation Elise stepped on the burly man's throat. With a crushing sound the rest of his life vanished.
Of course I also sucked in burly man's soul, I couldn't be wasteful.
Only the robed man remained alive.
"Y-You killed Bould and Bob, d-do you know what you have just did."
The robed man tried to stand up, he was badly injured. His whole chest was caved in by Elise's fist strike. It was so bad, his bones of this poor guy were visible to the eye.
"Youngster, I knew all along that you juniors were only amateurs. Juniors who pretend to something they are not."
The robed man looked at me strangely.
"W-Why do you talk like an elderly person? It's already strange that you are so well spoken at your age. But to talk like the elder's in the imperial palace."
"Hoo. You must know the imperial palace well. Who are you? A servant of the royal palace."
His body stiffened up, it seemed like he was no ordinary person.
"What do you say Elise?"
"Even if he is a servant, a servant is only trash. I think we can kill him of with no consequences."
"Don't be so close minded Elise."
"Excuse me can I take some medicine? I'm dying over here."
"Go ahead."
Out of thin air a red potion appeared in the youths hand.
"See Elise, does a normal servant carry a bag of holding?"
"Ah right master. I knew your intuition is always spot on."
"You fool, there are much more clues. Look closely."
Elise squinted her eyes and checked the injured youth.
"So. Tell me something about this person. Use the techniques I thought you."
Elise nodded.
"His smug face tells me that he is a tosser and...he Still stinks of his mother's milk. No signs of a previous injuries... His hands have never seen work. A servant are you kidding me? You are more like a spoiled rich brat."
"Right, not bad. So tell us the truth boy. Maybe if you are of value to us we will spare your life."
He regained his breath and gulped down the blood in his mouth.
"Humph might as well tell you. My fate is already in your hands."
I could try to read his memories. It worked once against Eliza when we had our stand off. This way however was much better. It was maybe not as efficient but much more entertaining.
"My name is Julius von Velen. The second prince is my father."
"I see, cool story kid. Congratulation you have saved your life and my condolence kid, it would have been better for you if you had died."
"W-What?"
