《The Journey to Godhood: A Madman's Dream》Ch 9

"Elise, you have grown up to be a respectable person. I remember when I first met you, you were always shitting your pants."
"Hey, I think you have mistaken me for yourself, who was always shitting himself?"
"Aiya, in these two years I couldn't teach you how to properly speak to your elders."
How time flew, looking out of the window and seeing the green lush Forrest reminded me of the good times. Bullying the children with Elise's help, killing beasts.
"Master, you are doing it again."
"Doing what?"
"Why do you turn around while we have a conservation? Also stop rubbing your chin, it won't let you grow a beard by doing so."
"Elise you break this old man's heart, you are like a grand daughter to me. Why do you always take advantage of me?"
Elise sighed.
"What old man? You are only two years old. Also I can take as much advantage of you as I want, since you killed me remember?"
"I always had a soft spot for you, I spoiled you too much."
"That's why you are the best master."
Elise hugged me from behind.
"The peaceful days will come to an end."
"You can count on me." I could feel her breath on my ears.
"Okay enough. We need to discuss something important."
She took a step back.
I turned around.
"You told me that in two months, talent scouts from different schools will visit this village right."
She nodded.
"Did you consider which school you will attend?"
" Of course, I want to attend the Profound School, they have magic and knight classes."
"What about school fees?"
"Don't worry, I'm talented enough for a scholarship."
"I see, then it will be as easy as turning ones hand. Whatever then there is nothing to worry about. Oh right soon I will leave the village."
"So, you decided to go to that school of retards."
"Yes, this will be fun."
"At least tell me why my master must go to that school. This is beneath you master."
This I didn't expect. ELise you damn rascal, you almost made me cry. To have such a devoted disciple, if I were to die now I would have no regrets.

I looked at Elise. I remember the first day I met her. I decided to mess with her and use her as a tool. But after I killed her, I kinda felt guilty.
Through training her, I became her teacher. I watched her grow becoming a splendid killing machine.
She could already fight against horned tigers at the tender age of five. These horned tigers were not that weak, they were about D rank.
This life was not bad but I had a much greater quest before me.
"Master?"
"It's heart warming that you think of masters face. I raised you well."
"You are avoiding the topic. Tell me one good reason for you to go to that school."
"I won't become strong by sitting idle. This place has no opportunities."
"You can hunt in the Forrest." Her eyes showed unwillingness. Her brown eyes gleamed with persistence.
I couldn't help but sigh.
"The school of retards is in Velen the capital city of this kingdom. Velen has many opportunities and I can acquire endless treasures that will help me boost my power."
With my converting abilities I could turn shit into gold. Bidding in an auction house and buying every item was no problem for me.
"You are stubborn as always. I hope you won't regret it.
"Regrets? Never heard of that word. Humph if some one dares to mess with me..."
"Right, right you will deliver pain worse than death."
Elise sighed and shook her head. Her brown hair swayed in the air spreading a sweet fragrance.
I think it was time for her real last test. So far Elise had only killed magical beasts.
It was time for her to kill a real human. For that the village was the perfect place.
This village was named Geldor, it was bordering the elven kingdom. The elves were an exclusive race where foreigners were not welcome.
Many shady people with ulterior motives tried their luck.
Most of them were not so lucky and vanished, never to be heard of again.
Some speculated that they had found a harem of female elves. The others were convinced they were long dead.
This place is a hub for scum and perverts. While the other kids were playing around, I was gathering knowledge.

"Elise it is time for your last test. Come with me."
- - - -
Elise and I arrived at the center of the village. Geldor was rather big. It had a big inn and various shops. The goods you could buy ranged from weapons to everyday necessities. It was also where my mothers tailor shop was.
I had to avoid my mother, if she catches me outside it would be real pain in the ass. Elise and I were suppose to be at my home, with my father watching over us.
Since my father is a village guard and works the night shift he was sleeping. This gave us the perfect opportunity to sneak out.
The most important thing was not to cause a ruckus.
When the locals saw Elise they greeted her with a smile. However after seeing me, most of their faces were that of pity.
'Master, what are we going to do?'
Elise asked me through our link. Because I gave her a part of my power, we were able to talk through our minds.
'Come with me, we are going to the inn.'
- - -
Bang.
The door slammed open by ELise made a loud sound and drew the attention of the whole inn.
"Who dares to make a ruckus while I'm dri- huh it's just some stupid kids."
A bald young man with a mustache yelled across the inn. He wore a coarse brown leather armor and two slender swords behind his back.
He was with two other people. One was a burly man, he also wore a leather armor and had a big axe as a weapon.
The other one was a creepy dude who wore a robe. Judging by his demeanor he was the boss of the group.
"I dare, you have a problem with that baldie?"
I taught her well.
"What did you say brat?" The bald guy was already drunk in this time of day.
"Your sight makes me sick. My master doesn't like trash like you. Piss off."
Just before the bald guy could retort a random town villager stepped in.
"Calm down mister. These are just kids, they don't know better. I will scold them, there is no reason to go any further."
Villager "A" did a good job, his dialogue was top notch. This world was really like a RPG. You just needed to stir up some trouble and a random event got triggered.
"You..."
Baldie took big strides and appeared right in front of Elise.
"And who is this great master of yours? Certainly not that crippled kid right there."
Elise's whole body shook and I could feel her raging emotions.
'Are you stupid? Don`t expose our secret yet.'
"That's it I'm calling the guards."
"Why are you butting in old man? Screw off."
"Screw off? Old man? It's me Bob, you always used to call me uncle. Me and your mom are good friends."
Villager "A", I meant Bob was devastated. I thought her well, she knows how to act as my disciple.
"Enough. Bould back off." The guy in the robe ordered his dog back.
"Tche. Whatever, count yourself lucky." The bald man snorted and went back to his group.
"Humph, hey you baldie, apologize to my master."
They grew up so fast, I could only feel proud.
Bald man Bould`s face fell and his eyes emitted faint killing intend. No one in the inn seemed to detect it. He must had a lot of experience to be able to hide his killing intend so well.
"Bould, apologize to this child."
"Whatever, sorry."
"You-"
'Elise that's enough. Let's go, we caused too much of a scene. We will get them later.'
"You three are lucky. My master is in a good mood so you lot are pardoned."
Everyone who knew or not knew Elise had weird faces on them.
"How can the cute Elise turn out like this? Who taught her these things?"
If they only knew.
"How could she turn into such a rascal? Two years ago she was like the sweetest angle."
Random talk erupted from the inn guests.
'Let's go'
Elise and I left the inn. We were currently waiting out side.
'What are your next steps master?'
'We are going to follow these tossers and wait for an opportunity to strike'
