《We Are Humans》Chapter 2 The Child

The moon, painted beautifully in the sky as its mirrored reflection displays in the stagnant water below as the rain ceased, with everything drenched and shiny from their now wet surfaces. Suddenly Fe and Cu cross the moonlit pools of water, submerged to their metallic waists. Fe's arms raised in the air, shielding the child from the freezing water below as they traverse down the flooded street.
Not far behind the Ti9000s shreds the door of Fe and Cu's home to pieces with their annihilative weaponry in hand. One of the Ti9000s and a TiCanine alongside it enters through the thick grey smoke at the entrance of the room.
Ti9000: " We have found the home of the rogue machine, after questioning some resident bots in the area about the rogue machine, those who did see it, all said they last saw it enter here... But the building is empty, scanning the room now....... I can see evidence of not one but two machines having occupied this facility. The TiCanine should be able to track the machines once it's finished scanning for any residue."
The TiCanine scans the grains of rust on the floor as well as all of the residue left by Fe and Cu, then immediately the beast-like machine rises up and releases a high-pitched noise, alerting the others. All of the TiCanines began to synchronize and sprung into the same direction as they track down Fe and Cu from the information gathered from the one who scanned the room. Suddenly, one of the Ti9000's eyes change from its deep red illuminated color to a cold chilling blue as the voice of The Primordial can be heard as it begins to speak.
Blue-eyed Ti9000: "The TiCanines have identified the targets! All Ti9000s follow pursuit immediately, bring me that child!" commanded The Primordial.
The terrifying mechanical beasts dashed silently with only the subtle sound of water rippling away from their path, enclosing on Fe and Cu, the beasts take to the skies as they leaped to the rooftops of buildings.
Meanwhile, Fe and Cu sense the danger approaching as they realized the city is all too quiet, Cu looks back in fear as his metallic gears begin to spin faster,
Cu: "We need to get out of here, Now!"
Cu shouted, and they began to quicken their strides through flooded streets frantically. They both then come across a deep descent leading straight to the outskirts of the city borders, but a rough, boisterous, and violent surge of water stampeded down the slope like a ferocious animal. Fe grabs hold of the child and secures it tightly to her chest,
Fe: " We must jump Cu, this is the fastest way out of here and we have no other choice, only deactivation awaits us if we hesitate"
She screamed as she lunged into the raging water, catapulting her and the child down the path, Cu immediately follows. The two descended down in the raging waters as it violently propels them into curbs, walls, and various structures, "CLANK! CLINK! BOING!".

They ricocheted off hard surfaces all the way to the bottom of the stream, Fe still clutching the child safely in her arms as she tirelessly attempts to stay above water, shielding the baby from any impacts the powerful force tosses her into. Up above, the TiCanines can be seen on top of the surrounding buildings, plunging off of them as they spot the two machines swallowed in the moving water down below. They pierce through the destructive water gracefully like pebbles dropping into a calm flowing stream, traversing the water down below like sharks.
Elsewhere, by the city's gates, the guards suddenly receive a call, and as one of them attempts to answer, it becomes possessed by The Primordial as its eyes turn a cold blue, "Close all exits to the city, effective immediately by all guards of the city gates!". The guards then spring into action as they begin to close the exits to the city.
Fe and Cu finally reach the bottom, clutching to the surface as they emerge from the large mass of water,
Fe: "Just a little further until we are out of the city little one, do not cry"
Fe whispers to the child trying to comfort it,
Cu: "It's probably cold from the water Fe, warm your body up by overheating your core for a little bit and do not slow down, I saw TiCanines dive into the water behind us... We must hurry!"
Shouted Cu as he erratically sprints towards the gate with his gears spinning ludicrously as water spouts and leaks from his joints and holes. Fe's chest then glows a subtle warm orange color as she overheats her core, slightly steaming as the water vaporized off of her, drying her and the child.
They then approach the gate half closed with the guards motionless in the open, filled with large holes in their heads with all the contents that were once inside now laid out on the ground, bits and pieces of their missing parts scattered across the floor as blue and white liquids paint the ground beneath their body sparking of electricity from their metallic wounds.
Fe: "What happened here?" Questioned Fe,
Cu: "We do not have time to question it, Look!"
Cu shouted, as he historically points towards the stream of water that they just came from, as shadowed figures with green-lit eyes become visible underneath the water. It was the TiCanines slowly and quietly emerging from the shallow water, steaming with their green illuminated eyes glued to Fe and Cu, all in a synchronized fashion ready to pounce.
Cu: "RUN!" screamed Cu,
bolting for the gate, just as they exit, a loud metallic sound echoes through the area. It was the Ti9000s all dropping from the sky just behind Fe and Cu,
Ti9000: "Stop where you are machines, drop the child, and surrender yourselves for deactivation!"

Fe and Cu stop in their tracks for they know they cannot possibly outrun a Ti9000 this close to them, furthermore a whole team of them accompanied by their mechanical dogs. Suddenly, two rusted figures appear from the side of the gatekeepers' watch, both dragging large objects disguised in cloth, stepping over the scattered bodies of the destroyed guards crushing the remnants of their skulls. They slowly walk between the path of the Ti9000s and the rogue machines Fe and Cu, blocking the way through the gate.
Fe: "Wait a minute... those two droids... "
Ti9000s: "Unidentified droids! Leave this area at once, or be destroyed!" Ordered the Ti9000s as the TiCanines slowly walk up beside them, just then Fe comes to the realization...
Fe: "They're the droids from the junkyard..." Fe pauses for a moment "Cu, run... do as I say." Whispered Fe,
Cu: "But Fe! The Ti9000s..." questioned Cu, interrupted by Fe
Fe: "Run! Those droids are no ordinary old droids... they're..."
The two bulky, rusted droids raise their arms as their mechanical hands morph into heavy-duty weaponry.
Fe: "Battle Droids!"
Blue-eyed Ti9000: "TiCanines... Rip them apart!"
Ordered The Primordial who suddenly possessed a Ti9000 again. The metallic beasts charge full force towards the rusted, old droids.
"RATATATATATATTATAT!" Hot steaming shells hit the ground as large excessive ammunition fire from the droids weaponized arms, pinning the TiCanines to the floor, unable to rip away at their titanium body but immobilizing them successfully.
The Ti9000s then start marching towards the droids, suddenly one of the old droids unveils the large object covered in cloth, a massive mechanized Gatling gun, the droid releases two latches in its leg, bolting itself in place to the ground.
Blue-eyed Ti9000: "The child is getting away.... get rid of those droids already! And return fire!" The Primordial shouted,
Ti9000s: "Inefficacous, the droids seem to be transmitting a signal that jams the tech in our weapons. We can only use brute force for now" replied the Ti9000s
suddenly all of the Ti9000s run towards the droids, pushing past the showering fire pinning the TiCanines in place. The heavily armed droid with the Gatling gun then proceeds to fire up the massive weapon in its possession, the barrel begins to spin, turning bright red with heat and steam as devastating rounds rain down on the Ti9000s, laying them out on the ground, grazing and indenting their heavily armored body, as it sets the surrounding area ablaze from exploding on impact.
The other droid then goes for the other cloaked object, unmasking it to reveal a ticking bomb with a timer displaying 2 minutes as it begins to count down. The droid then equips itself with even more weaponry, as guns emerge from its back, arms, and mouth, unloading rapid-fire towards the Ti9000s.
Blue-eyed Ti9000: "I've had enough of this..."
said The Primordial as he takes the possessed Ti9000s body and launches it into the air, dodging all incoming fire from the droid without the Gatling gun. As he lands, both droids then adjust their aim toward The Primordial as he draws two blazing, razor-like blades of plasma from inside the mechanized back of the Ti9000's body.
The Primordial then proceeds to portray exceptional sword skills, rotating the machine's torso and arms in a 360-degree motion at remarkable speeds, deflecting all fire from both of the droids as he continues to advance towards them. Finally relieved from the deadly showers, the TiCanines and Ti9000s all get up from the ground and start dashing towards the droids from all directions.
The TiCanines leap into the air descending upon the droids, latching onto their rusted body, and with their insanely sharp titanium teeth, proceeds to bite through the body of the droids like carving butter with a hot steel knife, ripping limbs from them with ease while the Ti9000s slams their remains to the ground. The bomb then displays 10 seconds left as the Ti9000s reach the gate crushing the detached heads of the droids in their hands.
The Primordial points towards the direction of where Fe and Cu fled, demanding the others to follow behind them quickly. The TiCanines scamper off immediately, following the tracks, and instantly the bomb explodes. Engulfing everything nearby instantaneously, disintegrating anything within the massive bright white sphere including the TiCanines as they dashed and leaped into the air, erasing them from sight as their bodies vanished in the blinding white light.
The Ti9000s titanium bodies all begin to melt within seconds as they become enveloped as well. The blast expands to a 5-mile radius and then shoots straight up into the air as it progresses, visible to the entire city. A shockwave travels through the area, shattering mirrors and shaking buildings like a tremor of great magnitude.
The blast begins to fade away into the now cleared skies, and the dust and smoke disperse, revealing a decimated wasteland now brandished with bright red plains, bathed in fire, garnished with falling ash raining from the sky, and molten metals scattered across the heated floor. The guardrooms, gate, and surrounding buildings in the area now erased from existence like they were never there.
Only one Ti9000 shoddily left intact with only its barely held together head, and melted body buried in its own liquified remains resting atop of the densely heated ground. It stares with a bright cold blue gaze into the distance,
Blue-eyed Ti9000: "That human....must die." Grudgingly said The Primordial as the blue eyes flicker and fade away.
