《The 33 Heavens Bow for 1 Man》Ch 23: Angel's Justice sect

Inside the Angel’s Justice sect: Some elder’s were nervous, some were oblivious. Those which had participated in the sealing of Lucifer felt a nagging in the back of their head. The jade stick which was left on the planet Flaming Rock was broken.
When creating a pair of jade sticks, a special inscription is placed on each, and when one breaks, the other will as well. When it was snapped on the planet, the sect was immediately notified.
Flaming Rock is planet which Bao Gang was on.
When the laws disappeared, the sect master at the Immortal Mountain sect broke the jade stick. This was the protocol in the case of an emergency, such as the universe laws disappearing from the planet. Of course, they would not know this, as such high level knowledge would not be known by cultivators of such a low level, but would certainly notice the complete absence of spiritual energy.
A liquid core cultivator was sent to investigate the planet.
This was not the strongest cultivator at the Angel’s Justice sect, but this was not the first time this happened.
In such an emergency, sending the strongest cultivator of the sect might be dangerous. Until the problem was found, who would be willing to risk their life?
You have to understand that there had been many such incidents where cultivators were sent to investigate this planet, just to make sure Lucifer never escaped.
Once, a strong cultivator had been injured and ended up using the planet as a recovery spot. The investigator from the Angel’s Justice sect was killed by the cultivator because his recovery was disturbed. The sect lost a revolving core cultivator in this incident, one of the strongest beings in the sect!
Similar incidents had happened over the years, although the sect never sent a revolving core cultivator after this. Other times, the investigator found nothing, and Lucifer had never escaped, so at this point, the sect was not particularly concerned if something happened on the planet.
More than likely, it would end up being nothing.

But this time, some of the elders were uncontrollably fidgety and irritable.
Out in space, Lucifer was flying towards the Angel’s Justice sect. He knew that it would be possible for the Angel’s Justice sect to notice his disappearance, and at this point just wanted to get stronger, while simultaneously getting back at the Angel’s justice sect.
What better way to do this than betraying this sect?
He had decided to fly over to planet Angel’s Justice, named after the sect which had its headquarters located on the planet.
He would enter as a new disciple, work his way up, and eventually be the most promising disciple, then after gaining enough strength, would assassinate the strongest members of the sect, then absorb the cultivation of every single cultivator in the sect.
This plan has a few advantages.
Firstly, he can avoid unseen scenarios in which he might die due to pure luck. If he ran into a strong cultivator in the outside world, he might be killed before growing powerful. By contrast, he would be fairly safe in the Angel’s Justice sect as long as his identity was not found out.
Secondly, he can get the best cultivation resources in the sect if he is promising. The sect would want to nurture geniuses, and he would take advantage of this to cultivate at the quickest possible speed.
Thirdly, if the sect ever found out he was missing, the last place they would look is inside the sect.
Fourthly, when he is trusted, he will be able to assassinate the strongest members. He would be able to kill them by surprise, which would mean he would not need much time to cultivate to kill one. After killing one, he would absorb their cultivation, and kill some more! By limiting the time he needs to cultivate, he limits the time the sect has to search for him, and therefore lowers the risk of being found by the sect.
Plus, they would never be able to tell him apart from the other disciples! On the planet, there are simply too many people for the Angel’s Justice sect to keep track of, so he could easily pass himself off as someone who had been born on the planet.

Short of a soul search, he essentially could not be found out until he acted against the sect! A soul search is when a cultivator looks at the memories of another. However, most cultivators would not consent to this, as everyone has their own secrets.
If a talented disciple is found to have stolen, they must be punished. Of course, to benefit the strength of the sect, it would be better to give resources to the more talented disciples, but if they are found to have been stolen, a punishment would have to be meted out to ensure that such actions are not perceived as being tacitly allowed by the sect. Of course, if an untalented disciple were found to have stolen, the sect would never condone such a thing and they would be heavily punished, as an example to other disciples. But in the case of a genius disciple, the sect would not want to punish them, but would have to due to their righteous reputation. If this becomes a rampant problem, order, discipline, and justice are disrupted, which is why the sect cannot allow even the most talented of disciples to do anything unlawful(If a genius disciple were to realize the sect would not punish them for stealing, they would do so more often, and likely tell other disciples, and thus stealing would become rampant. To prevent this, the sect punishes those they find stealing, but when clues point to a talented disciple, the investigation would stop).
Additionally, a soul search requires that a cultivator cede control of part of their soul sea for searching. This causes a soul injury and can take years to recover from. This halts cultivation and lowers talent if the soul injury is never recovered from. Again, not something which the sect would want to do to talented disciples.
Finding him would not be as simple as just checking new disciples as they have no idea that he has already found a new body!
If he were to escape the prison without finding a new body, he would be able to take over another given that they are much weaker in terms of soul strength. He could take control over the body of someone in the sect who had been there for years and those nearby would never know the difference, because he would have their memories!
10 miles away from the sect, a clearing in a forest suddenly lit up purple, the purple which signified a teleportation formation. Purple runes began to appear, covering the ground, creating a circle 3 miles in radius. Spiritual energy in the area began to dissipate, being pulled to the ground to fuel the teleportation.
A slightly larger circle appeared overlapping with the purple teleportation formation, this one formed out of golden runes, the color of a barrier. This circle was larger in radius than the purple circle by a foot, and along the perimeter of this larger circle, large piles of clear rocks were stacked. Each rock was a cube with 1 inch long sides. These rocks began to gradually turn grey and opaque.
Then, a transparent barrier, which looked similar to a glass dome, formed and extended to the edges of the golden circle. The rocks which were placed just on the edge of the golden circle were outside the dome.
A slight vibration could be felt amongst the silence, Then the purple runes disappeared. And in their place, a hill, or more correctly, the top half of a mountain, and atop the mountain, was Bao Gang.
With the appearance of the mountain, an ear-piercing siren broke the stillness of the day, and a swarm of figures flew from the sprawling sect towards the clearing--the strongest cultivators of the Angel’s Justice sect.

Humanity was on the brink of extinction due to the unexplained appearances of 'Cryptids.' Amidst the chaos of never-ending slaughter, a beacon of hope appeared for humanity, 'Phenomena.' Phenomena are unexplained abilities that were given to half of the people around the globe, though how they emerge are unknown. Despite the different kinds of Phenomena that humanity gained, it still wasn't enough to drive the terrifying Cryptids away from the face of the earth. It's the year 3000. All of the modern civilizations that stood on the ground have collapsed, and many kinds of Cryptids are roaming the land. But, due to a type of Phenomenon called 'Eden's garden,' three cities were formed floating in the sky that gave humanity the chance to rest and develop for the past years. Mechanica, Cybertown, and Gearmany were floating at different locations. Cybertown. A city filled with many people and buildings that even the streets can't fit a car is where Aki, our main protagonist, and his unit, will start their adventure to save the remaining people from a crisis.
