《My Fantasy World》Chapter 18 The War Council

"Just a lowly noble, what can an unknown man do." The first Prince who is now the prime minister of the Babylonian empire held his head high, showing disdain. He does have that qualification, too.
After the death of Emperor Julies Synirus of Babylonian, he was the most likely to inherit the throne of the Babylonian Empire. The Babylonian Empire was one of the continent's largest empires, comparable only to the Holy Empire, the Achaemenid Empire and the Kushite Empire, so it was not contemptuous to say so, the royals were arrogant, and Morgan was aware.
"But I, an unknown man, have a way to kill Dracule." Instead of getting angry, Morgan went on repeating himself, with confidence, staring the first Prince in his eye.
"Speak, what way?" The prime minister of the Babylonian empire stares back, a battle of will. The city of Rapo was a small city-state, where the family of M-Morgan rule, his word hold no real power, to a king. But time was not on their side, the Assyrian army surrounds them, and the Prince was frightened underneath his arrogance.
"My lords, let the boy speak, or do anyone else have a solution to this conflict of ours?" The saint spoke softly. She who presides over the meeting does not want a verbal war, which is not conducive to the unity of the alliance. And, for the present grim situation, she's also keen on hearing the words of this bearded boy, Morgan.
With the saint speaking, the kings and princes had to give her respect and settle down to hear Morgans words. Seeing this scene, Morgan's eyes flashed with contemptuous anger, but he was also a lord, he learned to show and hide his emotions when needed, this anger was soon pressed down by him.
"My lords, you all should have heard when the chamber of the late king Author was found, and the Excalibur was taken. Dracule personally assured his subjects that he would never be like Author, the first king Chosen by God, a selfish man, who had the power of kings, the power of Gods blessing, and Dracule who claimed to be nothing like him promised his subject that he would share the power of kings with them." Morgan said while trying to keep his word unbroken. He paused, took in a deep breath and said,'' But now he has reneged on his oath, I believe a king who failed his promises is not a true king. He murdered his ministers and all who wish to gain power. Now I ask you all, Kings and Lords, a Ruler who does not keep his promise, who amongst his subject will love him, and without love, betrayal is soon to follow?'' Morgan Tirous said.

"Is this your amazing plan? How laughable, what a fool, do you things us lords to be a fool as well and not thought of this before?" Charles Synirus, the first Prince sneered, "We've known all this, but what can a mortal man do against a man who singles handly laid waste to our armies, none dare to rebel against Dracule Aetos." his voice solemn, as he spoke about the legend amongst man.
"Disappointing lad, I thought you had a good idea, but it was just old news, we've tried it for a long time, and it doesn't work, poison that could kill a horse hundred times over, is just bittered milk for him." A king from the north opened his mouth to refute, his an old man, bald with a full white beard.
"My lords, did I say I was finished. You lost and failed for a long time because you're plans were exposed too early. But now is our time, the perfect opportunity is right here and now, Dracule is injured and even with that he can still kill us all, but the stronger he is the more his people yearn for a taste of his power, and we all, standing below the True Sture want the king's power, and one day to be more than mortal, doesn't his people have the same thirst as us!!"
"True, but they are afraid, Dracule is too strong for them to even dare, try. But they also know, if we are to lose the war, they will never have the opportunity to obtain the power of kings.'' The saint said, her word echoed throughout the room.
"We alone cannot kill Dracule, who is protected by his army, nor can we overthrow him, but if we join hands with someone from the inside. We may have hope. After all, he is still a man, not God, even with the power of kings, King Author still died, in the last battle, did we not injured him?'' The lord of the city of Rapo, Morgan, said. His voice sending chills down the spines of the nearby lords

"it's plausible." Emperor of Achaemenid murmured.
"I've met the King of the Kingdom of Byron a few times, and he's a military man and a holy man." The saint word shook the spirit of the king present.
The Kingdom of Byron, located between the Holy Empire and the Assyrian Empire, was not weak, and in the top ten of the whole world, it's famously known as the Two-Timer, as when the Assyrian Empire was strong, they join the Holy Empire, and when the Holy Empire was strong, they allied with the Assyrian Empire, using the constant friction between the two empires to maintain its independence. However, as Dracule gained power and the power of kings, the Byron Kingdom was forced by Dracule to allied with the Assyrian Empire.
"Interesting, good work Lord Morgan, if so, we may have hope." Prince Charles immediately changed his tone, from arrogant into righteousness. An evacuation was, after all, the last resort, and if Dracule could be dealt with, he would be willing to fight. Morgan said that the stronger Dracule was, the more his subjects longed for his power, a phrase that applied to most of the king and lords present, and him as well.
The stronger Dracule is, the more these princes are likely to seek his power, to be the Emporer. Amongst all the people in this room, who is not ambitious for power, beauty, status, they all want more, but also they desire the legendary power of kings. Recalling Dracule unparalleled might in the last battle, everyone's heart sank, not of fear, but a more sinful desire.
"I'm good friends with king Dylan, of the Barber Empire. And with Gaias Blessing I can bring him to our side." A king of a kingdom bordering the Barber Empire opened his mouth. More Lords spoke, and the princes and kings place forth their views, and so a war of words broke out.
Morgan listened for a moment, smiled and he shouted, "None of these people you say can help, not only will they die, but we all will lose this last chance." Since the idea was put forward by Morgan, no one was angry that he had interrupted the conversation, and the crowd glanced at each other, and finally, the saint said, "Lord Morgan, who do you have in mind?"

The Pillar Forts, one of the few successful projects of the United Nations headed by the United States, stand ready to defend humanity against any invasion that may come through the strange Connection Pillars that appeared on each continent. Massive steel and stone walls that surround the Connection Pillars. The week after her birthday, government workers started testing every person in the US in a massive census effort of skills and abilities. Jessica Brown found herself conscripted into the US Magical Corp, a new branch of the US Military, and shipped off to a Pillar Fort. Somewhere hot and muggy in her ancestors’ home of Africa. As she grows stronger, she finds she has some connection to the pillars. While everyone else sees beauty or danger when they look at the pillars, after connection is made all Jessica can see is a Tree. A tree the size of the entire universe. Isaka Smith - is a third generation American and farmer who just wants to be left alone. But she is dragged into the situation by events beyond her control. When people in her small town had to deal with rioters and looters after the system announcement, she rallied them to defend themselves, earning her a trait that the government found extraordinarily useful. After a visit to a local reservation, she finds herself conscripted to lead one of the many small support towns erected around the great pillar forts. Not near her old home, but in far-flung Africa. John McIntire, the “Fighting Bull” -The commander of the African Fort, but because of circumstances beyond his ability to contend with shortly after taking command after being re-activated from retirement, he finds communication with his chain of command increasingly difficult. The US government, hell, even the United Nations, seems to have fallen into complete and utter chaos. The African Union is embroiled in a bitter civil war just outside his door, and supposedly, most of the world governments are in similar situations. Meanwhile, John must do his best to be ready to facilitate diplomacy, or to match the hostile argument of whatever force might come through the pillar of light when the year timer finishes counting down. Can our heros defend Earth from outside threats, while it tares itself apart? Or will they need to rebuild from the ground up?
