《My Fantasy World》Chapter 13 Excalibur Anguish

Because the contents of the mural were too chilling. Harold City Lord Acus Harold and Frith City Lord made the same decision to use a canvas to cover up all the passages of the mural.
As for the destruction of the frescoes, these two city lords dare not stain them for fear of suffering from the wrath of God. With no thoughts on betrayal or anything that might cause harm. As long as they find the treasure inside, quickly seal this Chamber of Death.
The contents of the murals and slabs contain truth that can result in clashes of empires, and the first ones to die would be them. So they slow down the hunt for fortune and slowly delved into the passage. With the lingering worry of inflicting damage to this Chamber Of History.
Even so, seven days later. The access to the last stone chamber finally opened, and precisely speaking, it was no longer a stone chamber. But a cave with a vast space that could fit a small town.
Moreover, it was full of gold, silver and gems, which piled like hills. The reflection flashed the Gravediggers eyes. Produced by the torchlight.
"Gaia blessed, so much gold." The lord of Harold was stunned.
"Just like a world of gold, enough treasure for us to become kings!!" Acus shouted as he regains his sense.
The two city lords laughed at the same time. Their heart banged, eyes shining with lust. Gold enough to cure world hunger. Several times over.
After the exhilaration, the two city lords looked at each other oddly. And then each took several steps back. Even the atmosphere turns into tension. As the soldier of the two lords slowly moved among their own.
"Over there, look. Several torches handle." A sharp-eyed knight saw, between the pillars.
Soon, the lampposts inside the cave were blazing. Then dazzling firelights lit up the whole cave, as bright as day. Much brighter than any torch in this era.
''It seems the founding times hold more than just gold.'' Lord Altvin mumble loud enough for the ears of Acus to catch.
''The river of time has aged this chamber, just like the paintings. Old over thousands of years. The torch still works, the canvas still looked fresh. The ancient virtuosity and wisdom are beyond this era.'' Acus bitterly said as he too was a schooler in many fields.

Most of the wisdom of the Holy Empire was lost. Reason unknown, some say humanity knowledge was touching that of the Gods. With his retributions, the Holy Empire plunged into chaos.
The chamber lit fully. It was only then that the two city lord. With their men could see the full view of the cave.
The cave is about 100 meters high and covers a huge area. But the entire image is not apparent merely the cave centre appeared at first glance. There is a High Platform, where gold gems piled up, raising the ground by some level.
The two city lords reached with their men towards the high platform, and at their feet was dazzling gold, but now the minds of the two city lords were not on the gold but what lies on the high platform.
As long as one is not a fool, you can tell that the ancients who built this place were completely treating gold like dirt that holds this platform. The value of the gold alone is vast. Then the thing that is vaster than this gold is what? Immeasurable, to mortal.
What the lords of the Fifh Star have most in their mind is not the unknown but what is known. The artefact was created by Gaia, the Holy Artefact. Said to be bury in the resting place of King Auther. The legendary sword of kings, Excalibur. The flame that drove the enemy of humanity out of their home and burns infinite. The undying flame.
Soon, the two city lords stood on the high platform. The height of the platform is almost the size of tens of square meters. In the centre of the High Platform stands a statue. He looks of which is not mortal but immortal, surrounded by light.
At the foot of the statue. There is a stone platform on it, a corpse, the body dressed with expensive gems, crown overhead. A sword held by his chest.
"The king Chosen by God" A middle-aged knight kneeled on all four. This time he did not care about the turmoil between the lords. It seems all but blurry.
The others were no better, some felt the same as the knight, and other had their thought. Acus and Altvin spoke in unison.

"The Great God Gaia." The two voices linked.
''His face, we've seen the face of God, old man.'' Acus praised.
"Yes, lord Acus, a moment we shalt forget. No one has ever seen the image of God. Only the legendary King Auther. And no one dares to carve out what they believe God looked like, which is a blasphemy to God." Altvin said solemnly
There is only one exception, and that is Auther, the first king. Only the statue of Gaia built by Auther was said to be true.
'Stories have it that the True Statue is the manifestation of Gods Will. Standing in front of the statue is like standing in front of Gaia. The Holy Church can serve God. Why? Because they are said to have a True statue of Gaia. Unexpectedly, there is also a second' Acus though, emotion uncertain, his heart races. But his face remained calm.
"This place is the Tomb of King Auther. For this reason, Gaias know how many secrets have slept here. This True statue should be not the most important, that sword..." Altvin shuttered as he spoke the final word. Eyes gleamed.
Acus Harold pays no heed to Altvin. Eyes dead stare at the long sword, his breathing increase.
Excalibur, this mythical treasure. A Holy artefact, made by Gaia, the God of Humanity, and all Creation. Who would not wish to wield a sword that made a boy into a king? But the two city lords did nothing. They thought of some hidden myths and legends that could frighten the bravest of sinners.
But as time went on, the greed and longing for the artefacts overwhelmed the awe of the lifeless king. And the two city lords slowly came forward and approached the King Auther corpse.
Authers body, his eyes wide open. Reluctant eyes, his face bittered, and Excalibur deep into his chest. Thousands of years have passed, his body has not withered, lifelike as if he was a sleeping eye woken.
Tick, tick.
Some drops of blood slowly fell to the ground. The two city lords shivered. Absurd, they thought. This man died how many centuries ago, but his blood still flows red.
This bizarre encounter made Altvin take a step back, fearful. Their soldiers mumble among themself, hands on their swords prepared for the next to come. Especially in this eerie cave, some slaves really cannot stand it and have to back off, ready to dart if needed.
Acus fazed not in the least, his heart firm only on the sword, Excalibur. Bold or Foolish. He quickly stepped forward and took the initiative to grasp the sword of God.
''Stopped you fool'' Altvin yelled. His voice was sore but potent.
"Buzz"
Excalibur shook as if provoked, and a ray of light rippled out. And then the light enveloped Acus Harold before he could struggle. He faded to dust, and so ash flew out and dispersed into the air.
Others were horrified, even backed off only to slip on their own feet. Some roared. The middle age knight started to pray for mercy and some other follow his lead.
"What a fool, foolish fool. Mortals simply cannot hold it. Only God Chosen kings can wield it. Goodbye Acus Harold, nephew ." The old lord Altvin, with his head, lowered he said bitterly. The origin of Harold and Frith is the same. The two were once one.
"Buzz"
Seemingly stimulated, a ray of light gushes out of the sword of God and forms a picture.
It was on the Eden Plains before dawn. Next to a vast river, a teenager knelt in front of a majesty man surrounded by Gray light. He handed the teenager a long sword and a burning fire. And then it shows the teenager turn from boy to man and the man to hero. And to the first king. Finally, the Excalibur pierce through his chest.
The soldier and the slaves, even lord Altvin held in their breath and looked eyes heavily at this scene of annals.
