Jordan made few rounds around the perimeter of his camp and killed dozen of people that were searching around, he didn't like killing them but neither did he dislike it, he was kind of fine with it, it was out of necessity and every crystal will count on the auction, also the fewer people sneaking around the better.

By now most of the camps and factions around must know about Jordan´s camp as it is one of the biggest camps and is also located in the middle of town, and once the people under Jordan reaches the free status some of them will for sure go to other camps and disclose the situations inside, that was a bit of a problem.

´once the "free" leave and if they talk to some angel they can tell them about most of the beats, the number of survivors, the weak spots in walls, they can even make arrangements and leave someone inside as spy, simply it's risky, maybe I should just find them once they leave and kill them… this will need to be thought through more´

Most of the people searching around were without any awakened center of power so Jordan only took the ears and let his beasts to eat the rest, just like that Jordan secured the perimeter over the course of the day, and when the sun was starting to set he returned to the base.

The walls were already taking shape and once the ruble is remade to the wall 2 meters (6 ft 7 in) and one meter (3 ft 4 in) thick another round of remodeling will begin, in theory, the 2-meter wall sounded sound nice but in reality, it´s pathetic.

For the wall to be effective there must be cover on the wall and enough space for people to stand ground easily, ideally, the wall should be at least 3 meters (9 ft 11 in) tall and 2 meters thick (6 ft 7 in) and even better would be if the wall was made with proper materials such as stone and cement but that was closer to wishful thinking, the number of resources and manpower will be huge as the stone will be needed to be mined somewhere and that´s the easy part.

And even if they did build some awesome wall it would still be useless against flying beasts.

Still, the wall will provide an enormous advantage, almost absolute protection against the beasts under the second phase, and even a group of non-awakened humans on the wall could probably fight off most of the third phase ones.

That was in the future, for now, there are guarding the third phase beasts Jordan tamed while clearing the plaza, those beasts are going around the wall and serve as guard or patrol making sure no one gets in or out.

Jordan went to the plaza and searched for the building that was chosen to be smithy, it didn't take long to find the building as there was smoke coming from it, so Jordan quickly made his way there.

Jordan went in and found all the group leaders and Jane standing around the skeleton smith who was working with his hammer on an improvised anvil that was made from the motor of a truck, only the sound of the hammer hitting the anvil could be heard, the skeleton couldn't make a sound and the leaders were silently looking.

Slowly sword took a shape, it was simply one hand sword with a weight of around 2 kg and a blade length of 0,6 meter (2 ft), it could be said that the work of the skeleton pretty good but the iron was taken from a car´s parts and that metal wasn't meant for a sword so the overall quality was subpar.

The quality might be subpar but it will do for now, with this there will be a need for a new group and that will be a group of fighters, there will be strict rules for choosing those fighters in case they chose to rebel if possible Jordan would like to have citizens as fighters but that isn't possible for now as there are no citizens.

In the future all the citizens should have basic training with weapons, it would be nice if he could train all others as well but the threat of them rebelling was too big, teaching them how to fight is just asking for a beating.

The leaders and Jane were waiting around the sword that was cooling down, before they could even touch it the skeleton took the still glowing sword and cooled it in a tube with oil, vapor started to show itself and the metal was stiffened up.

With this the process of making the sword was done, the handle could be completed with a rag or something so no need for the skeleton.

The leaders and Jane took turns in admiring the sword and did not even notice Jordan who was standing in the doors.

They tried swinging it and tried the edge, the edge was still blunt and will need sharpening but for them it was perfect, it was the first time for them to hold a sword so they thought it was the best thing there is.

The group's leaders and Jane all surprisedly looked at Jordan and said

"hello leader, didn't see you there"

They handed him the sword, Jordan made few test swings and said "well.. it's good enough, choose the most loyal from your groups and have them start training"

The leaders were all bit shocked as they didn't immediately believe it if the power is distributed to the people then the things Jordan said can come to be.

Jordan did not have time to stay and headed to the wine vault, it was time to head to the auction, Jordan said his goodbye and left.

After that Jordan waited as usual for the connection to establish and headed to the platform, at the platform Jordan quickly exchanged the human ears for crystals and then headed for the auction.

The auction was mostly anonymous, Jordan was just given a wooden desk with names, demon species rank, age, gender, and lastly, there was a price that was continuously updated.

Flipping through the names Jordan looked at the prizes and was a bit disappointed, all the prices for upper-rank demons were out of the chart, the prizes were at least 1000 crystals so Jordan moved on to the middle-rank demons and still the prizes were out of his reach, the lowest ones reached near 250 crystals, with this Jordan moved to the lower rank and finally found some he can buy, for now, he has 150 crystal to spend and it looks like he will be getting one demon at best, and that is if the demon agrees to come with Jordan.

Jordan was never good at persuading and there was also the thing with the platform which made any lying impossible so Jordan chose the honest approach, simply the results will completely depend on luck.
