With everything handled at the platform, Jordan returned on earth to his wine vault.

But with the weapons in his hands and all the goblins, the wine vault became quite packed.

Jordan went and opened the door to warn Sunny to not eat the goblins. ´i should assign some guards to the goblins... otherwise it´s only a matter of time before some of them get eaten´

As it was already dark outside Jordan let the goblins rest for a day and so he just threw them into an empty room in the fortress where they would live from now on.

While being at it Jordan tossed the goblins some meat while also making a small fire near an open window, there are no working fire alarms to make problems, and the floor is made out of stone so hopefully, they won't burn the whole building down.

After trying to explain the situation with the goblins to the beasts Jordan happily run to his room, it was time to read the magic tome he bought.

And Jordan learned much interesting information concerning magic, for example, the first circle magic can be cast even by those without mana organs but it's very inefficient and significantly more time-consuming. And those without awakened organs can use only the mana that is naturally gathered in their bodies which is a very small amount that is just a bit more than the mana that is normally in the air.

But the main thing Jordan learned was how to cast circle spells, those spells are made from magic symbols such as pentagram that act as conductors and are given meaning by words of power-language such as demon/angel language and as for how are these spell cast...

First, one must create the first circle that is the most important and that circle tells the mana what it has to do, such as create a ball of fire in the size of … send it in the speed that the amount of mana allows.. detonate on impact and so on, it resembled programming in a sense and even small errors could detonate the spell blowing it to the caster´s face.

The first circle serves to set the spell and outline it, in essence, the whole spell is in the first circle so what are the second circle and the ones that go beyond that for?

Well, these are for amplifying the power of the spell, there are many things that decide the power of the spell, such as the difference in the power of the spell caster if its cast by the first circle mage or sixth circle mage.

The sixth circle mage has much purer mana so his first circle powered by his mana will be much stronger.

But generally, the second circle has meanings such as "the fireball will be bigger" or "the temperature of the fireball will be higher" but you can´t just stack those circles one on another, you need to adjust the first circle so that the spell works, imagine you have sixty points for the first circle, the shape will cost you 5, speed of the projectile by enveloping it in raw mana 10, projectile 10, adjustments rest of the points, and now you add another circle that makes the fireball bigger so you need more raw mana to propel it and so on.

The amount of circles one can activate depends on the amount of mana the caster can provide at once. The circle's magic or orthodox magic if you want is instant magic that requires only set word, thought, pointing a finger, and pouring the mana in the image of the circle that the caster must imagine activating the magic.

Yes, that´s how the spell is cast, the caster must imagine the spell to the last detail in his head and then touch it with mana in his consciousness, then the pentagram will suck the mana from the caster.

If the mana isn't enough the spell might explode if the image isn't clear to the last detail the spell would probably explode,

Just as Jordan was about to consider postponing learning magic he came across a passage in the magic tome that shows how to set a ritual that will burn the spell in the caster´s memory.

That was another branch of the orthodox circle magic and that was rituals, those could be used for a variety of uses such as setting barriers or making the rituals to memorize spells.

Other than instruction about the basic rituals to memorize spells and set basic barriers there were instructions on how to complete basic spells up to the third circle.

There were also outlines for spells and there were also pieces of information about alchemy, the book mentioned that it´s possible to brew an elixir that forcefully awakens a person mana organ but that was all, the book didn't mention anything closer on the subject.

Jordan spends the whole night immersed in the magic tome, the only thing that bothered him were the rats that every night roamed the streets, this time they even roamed around the entrance door, and only when Sunny send them a "welcome" fireball did they retreat. ´It looks like it´s about time I took care of them, so much to do, now that I have a workforce I should slowly retake the town plaza for myself but if only my groups live there it would be quite the waste of space… hmm, I should probably visit my fellow demons that live nearby.... taking care of the rats night before should make it safe for me to visit my fellow demons at the night after that… that sound like a decent plan´

With plan set Jordan went to check on his new subordinates, as Jordan have not slept nearly for a month now he had a warped sense of time so when he walked to the room with the goblin the sun only started to rise a while ago, it was about 6.10 am and all the goblins were sleeping.

´if I want to take care of the rats today I can't waste time´ thought Jordan so he decided to wake them up with a shout "GET UP!" the shout was of course in the demon language so the goblins at least could understand a bit.

At first, all the goblin jumped up and looked around as they were a bit scared until the watcher goblin reacted, with a voice full of respect the watcher goblin spoke to Jordan and greeted him "Master!"

The six soldier goblins looked at Jordan with an indifferent look and lazily got up while stretching.

Jordan ´that won´t do, they need to know that I mean business. As they are now they may even deny my orders… I already gave them food so now its time for whip´

Jordan "come with me!" Jordan took the goblins and on the way, he also called about thirty of his beasts including Sunny, Max, and all of the beasts in phase 2, and with everyone, he went outside before the library.

When they got outside the worker goblin got even more scared and even the watcher goblin looked around warily.

The beasts formed a circle around the goblin and Jordan pointed at one of the warrior goblins "attack me", the goblin looked at Jordan like he was crazy, Jordan "do it".

At first slowly the goblin walked slowly forward and when he was about a meter (3 ft) before him he crazily jumped at Jordan, Jordan didn't have a weapon and neither did have the goblin but Jordan was quite good at boxing.

Jordan got in position and with his footwork, he easily dodged the goblin and even managed to get in few hits before the goblin even managed to turn around, it took only a minute and the goblin was already lying on the ground.

The goblin was smaller than Jordan and had a lower body rank, the goblin was at beginning of the second rank while Jordan was at peak of the second rank, together with Jordan's massive build it was just bullying.

Just like that Jordan has beaten one goblin warrior after another and when all six of them were beaten he called them to attack him all at once, he wouldn't be so confident if they were in top condition but he already took care of that. "came at me all at once!"

Jordan shouted and even imbued a bit of mana to his horns to force them, the goblin warriors rushed at Jordan and it only took a few minutes and all the goblin warriors were laying on the cold ground with bruises all over their green bodies.

The goblin warriors were by no means weak but Jordan made the situation to his advantage.

Jordan looked at the goblins on the ground and on those that stood nearby, when the goblins saw Jordan that looked at them with his ferocious look and evil smile they all shuddered, the worker goblins were trembling while the watcher goblin was standing his ground while looking around with scared eyes.

Jordan spoke in demon language and imbued mana to his horns so the meaning can get more clarity around. "I am your leader and I will take care of you, I will give you shelter and food, I will lead you to every battle and together we will claim many victories but if you disrespect me you will be punished and if you disobey me you will be killed, IS IT CLEAR?" all the goblins were shaking and kneeled on the ground, the watcher goblin "we will obey masterr!"

Jordan "good, now come with me, you need some weapons and tools"

Jordan took went and took his hammer from his room, the new two-handed war hammer, the war hammer was a normal hammer from one side, and from the other was a sharp spike, the metal from which was the hammer crafted was grey almost with a shade of black and didn't reflect sunlight at all, the handle was also made from metal and with a length of 1,5 meter the hammer weighted around 20 kilograms, normal humans would have problem with swinging the hammer at all but Jordan with his enhanced body could swing the hammer easily, the hammer suited his taste quite well.

Jordan ´sadly, if I encounter someone with daggers or quick weapon with the short-range I will be forced to give up on the hammer and fight with fists´

With the show of power out of the way and the war hammer in hand, Jordan took the goblins to the ironmonger that was located at the plaza.

It was a short walk, at most it took five minutes, it was also an area that Jordan previously cleared with his beasts co there was no visible opposition.

In the ironmongery they took everything they could, they put all the tools they found in hand-barrows and brought all they could carry back to the library, the ironmonger was a bit raided already but the storage still had many tools and even a few machetes, Jordan let everyone choose what they want and then hauled the rest back.

Now that the goblins were ready Jordan ordered the goblin watcher to supervise and build half meter high and half meter wide wall on both sides of one small alley, there is where they will fight the rats tonight.
