Over the course of the next week, Jordan had his hands full with several things he had to do, such as training with his newly evolved body and getting used to the changes, training with his mana, taming new beasts, making sure his beasts don't eat cowst and teaching his beasts how to take them out to eat grass and then take them back without the cowst being eaten, clearing and occupying the rest of the fortress, securing a source of water, keeping eye on the humans, and lastly learning the demon language.

His newly evolved body or rather only the demon parts didn't change much, his overall strength increased mostly after he ate the non-element hearts, when broke through his mana limit the increase of strength was very small and was also connected to his demon innate abilities that gave him an edge against humans.

After the second and relatively mild mutation Jordan´s senses sharpened once again but the increase was still smaller than before, still, even the small changes had some big impact, for example, his nose, he could now smell and differ the of his beasts and most likely he can to some extend even track humans just with his sense of smell, one bad thing about this was that he had to teach his beasts to shit outside as he couldn't stand the smell anymore.

Other senses got only stronger and no notable change was incurred.

One thing that notably changed was Jordan´s mana perception, he can now easily conquer small fireballs the size of a fist and fire them in three seconds, when given more time he can create a bigger fireball but manipulating the mana for any longer amount of time and combat effectiveness drops to 0, Jordan also learned how to handle basic of other elements and made some other discoveries.

One of his discoveries is how mana interacts with materials around and how it creates them, it is far more mana friendly to gather for example dirt from surroundings than to make the mana create the dirt itself when he forces the mana to create the dirt effectiveness drops by quite a lot, he needs about two times the amount of mana and time and the dirt still disappears after some time only when he uses almost all of the refined mana in his second heart did he succeeded in making the dirt permanent.

The second of his discoveries was concerning mana strengthening, Jordan still can´t use it freely, maximum what he can do for now is strengthening his body for several seconds but he learned to do so anytime when fighting and as many time as his mana allowed, it took a long time to master it but it was well worth it.

Max together with several walls of some houses were most miserable as they had to suffer as sparring partners, still, Jordan gained a big boost to his combat strength, he can use the few seconds of strengthening before hitting with his hammer to greatly boost the impact or when he evades he can use the strengthening and easily dodge with great speed.

That was mostly all he discovered about mana.

Now for his beasts, yes his beasts, Jordan started to be fed up with them, he could now better convey his words thanks to his evolved horns but they were still wild and stupid beasts, and only in the second phase could their intelligence be compared to an obedient small child, the beasts in the first phase couldn't do any tasks more advanced that "go attack, come with me, stay here" that was about their limit.

Thankfully beasts in the second phase could direct those in the first so Jordan began to make groups that were led by the second phase beasts, in the week Jordan made many raids on the surrounding area and left the defense to the slowly recovering Sunny and thanks to that Jordan now had under himself close to hundred beasts.

Jordan sat in his chair and looked at his paper notebook where he kept track of the things he had to do and also wrote the number of his beasts leaders of groups and so on when came the morning 24th day after the mana came Jordan had 25 element dog-like beasts, 1 in the third phase that was Sunny who finally advanced, there wasn't any big change as he was semi third phase before he was now slightly bigger and uglier, the most important thing for Jordan was that he could finally ride on him, it was bit uncomfortable but doable, also much faster than simply running on his own legs.

Besides the third phase beast, there were also beasts in phase two and there were two of them one of them was Max and the second was Bella01, Jordan now began a new system in his naming, all-female beasts that evolves to the second phase are Bella xx and Males are Oscarxx, it made things much easier to sort, and now for non-elemental dog-like beasts, there is 37 of them and 3 of them are in the second phase.

That was for the dog-like beasts, Jordan looked at the number for the cat ones like beasts, there is 15 of them under him and only one in the second phase but those beasts proved to be of great help as they can easily infiltrate any area and have higher intelligence when compared to the dog-like beasts, especially the first-second phase cat beast that Jordan named Luna, Luna evolved to the second phase and even though she can control just one element the elements is darkness or something like that as Jordan couldn't properly name it or defy it, Luna can control shades make hands from shade or use the shades to make her completely disappear, together with her evolved build 1 meter high and 1,5 meter long and a mouth that has fangs in a semicircular shape and the fangs sharp enough to leave marks in concrete, Luna is best Jordan´s assassin.

And for the other beasts, there are 22 cowst under Jordan, one interesting thing about them is that they don't need males to reproduce, they only eat, and when they get enough nutrients they just gave birth, but that doesn't mean they don't have males Jordan already saw one of the males when he roamed the city, the males are more of guardians to protect them.

Sadly there are no males of the cowst under Jordan, now for the second interesting thing about cowsts, when Jordan checked on them he noticed how they eat and was quite shocked, cowsts eats grass or any weeds together with their roots and the ground, they then filter it in their stomach and then... they well.. shit the ground together with few seeds of grass, very effective way to make the best use of all the nutrients and secure food for the future, even though they would be eating their own shits.

And lastly the flying beasts, there is no longer only one type that came from chickens there are now also those that evolved from pigeons and other small birds and there are roughly 50 of them under Jordan, they have mostly no fighting ability only when attacking in a flock can they hurt anyone, so Jordan uses them as an alarm system and in future, they can be used deliver messages and as for any specimen in the second phase there are none as of now and probably for some time there won't even be as Jordan lefts for them mostly scraps.

When you add it all together there are about 150 beasts under Jordan and about 80 of them can be effectively used in battle, as of now, Jordan was confident in taking down the survivor camp from which he escaped, even though it would be 1 against 7.

Theoretically, if seven people ganged upon phase 1 beast the beast would surely die but Jordan was confident in victory because of the fear that would spread to the survivors if he attacked, they were normal people a few weeks ago and from what Jordan saw only about 50 men took care of activities outside while the rest was hiding.

Jordan also tried to locate other camps and found about 20 of them ranging in population from a few hundred to few thousand, they were mostly managed by angels, but Jordan found a few where demons ruled but that's for some other time.

Jordan found very early that living near the beasts isn't a good idea, so he secured the fortress quite fast, there wasn't much resistance anyway as the aura of the 3rd phase beast kept them away.

Sadly in the museum that was in fortress Jordan found almost nothing useful, there were few sabers in storage but they were too old to be of any use, at least Jordan didn't have to tolerate the beasts living in the library, he left them a free hand in choosing where they want to be and only established patrols that kept the perimeter around the fortress safe, Jordan really wanted to remake the wall that went all the way around the town plaza but he had no manpower, sadly rebuilding that wall will have to wait and he cleared only the fortress anyway, clearing the plaza will be much harder.

As for the problem with water, it was solved quite easily, in the fortress, there was a huge well with plenty of water, Jordan just destroyed the bars that were around it to prevent any of the visitors to fall in and the well was ready to be used, one bad thing about that was that Jordan had to personally excavate the water with a bucket on a rope and when doing so for 150 beasts it took a while but for now Jordan had no other better possibility.

Jordan made huge progress in the demon language to the point he was confident in understanding almost everything, making fluent sentences still makes him a bit problem but he prepared some he will most likely need.

With this prepared Jordan began to read the catalog, it took only about five minutes and the catalog was flying across the room. "WHO DID IT? WHICH ASSHOLE DID IT?"

It was an absolute mess, there was a passage about crystals that one would receive for bringing enough human ears, and then there was a passage about how the portals worked and how you will receive a number that will assign you a camp in the world where you are going for recruiting and then this part was interrupted with how you can´t lie on the platform that is located on the moon and after that, explanation about the crystal continued, this time about how many crystals will you monthly receive for having humans under your rule.

With no other choice, Jordan began to summarize the content in his paper notebook. "I bet the angel catalog is perfect"

Even though Jordan was right about that it was useless to him, with hard work and gritted teeth Jordan made it through the catalog and made sense of it in his notebook, it is time to go and visit the moon once more.
