《Rise Of The Elf Demon Lord》Chapter 7: Loyalty!

A smile appeared on Xie Nie's face, "Yes, demon lord!" she said in a loud, clear yet childish voice and dashed towards the two humans.
Li Wei frowned and thought, "I explicitly told her not to call me demon lord…"
Zar Gon's face paled in fear, "What?!" Demon lord?!" he shouted. Pi Yun showed no reaction, he only stared at his sister's lifeless body by Li Wei's feet.
"Slime shot!" Xie Nie shouted out mid-dash, her arm transformed into a translucent red whip that was at the length of her arm and it whipped. The goo detached from the end of the whip; her arm returned to normal. The goo flew through the air and hit the young man standing in a daze.
Pi Yun screamed out in pain and fell down to the ground, dead.
"Over 900 damage? Something like that would have killed me in a single hit…but that attack, it reveals that she is a monster. I can't let her use it whenever she feels like… she also killed him instead of devouring him. Worst case, she doesn't devour a single one, but even if that happens, killing these three won't be a waste as I got information and levelled up," Li Wei thought.
Zar Gon's face contorted in terror when he heard his companion's scream and saw him falling to the ground. At that moment, he knew that he had no chance and that he had to flee, not at any moment before but at that exact moment. And he did, he fled in the direction of the carriage.
When the elf killed their healer, Zar Gon was shocked but he didn't feel fear or terror. When the little human girl, called the elf – demon lord, he felt fear but he still had hope. But when the little human girl killed Pi Yun, the warrior who was higher level than him in a single attack, he felt terror and he knew that he had no chance; that he had to run and tell everyone that the demon lord has returned.
The hunter reached the carriage and swung the door open but as he did, Xie Nie arrived behind him, she pulled back her fist and punched. The punch collided with the man's back and he spat out blood, "Geh!" and fell to the ground.

Li Wei furrowed her eyebrows, "I hope she can devour dead enemies, because if she can't then it will be a pain in the ass to increase her status into elite or anything higher," she thought and walked towards Xie Nie.
Taking a few steps, Li Wei raised her right eyebrow, "Hmm?"
After Zar Gon died, Xie Nie's squatted down and touched his corpse with her right hand. From her hand, red translucent goo spurted out; a notification flashed.
The goo quickly expanded, only stopping when archer's entire body was covered in it. The goo then started shrinking and before long, neither the body nor the goo shaped body could be found anywhere.
Xie Nie stood up and turned around; her eyes met with Li Wei's who was now only a few steps away.
"Go devour the other two," Li Wei said.
Xie Nie nodded happily, "Yes, demo—Li Wei," she knelt down on the ground and lowered her head as she realised the blunder she made, "I am terribly sorry your highness. I have disobeyed you."
Li Wei looked down at her and sighed heavily, "Do you know why I don't want you to call me – demon lord, general Xie Nie?"
Xie Nie raised her head and shook it, "I don't… your Highness"
"It's simple, you are my general and you are qualified to call me by my real name, by – Li Wei. But if you want to be just a mere minion, you can call me demon lord if you want," she finished her words with sadness in her voice.
Xie Nie blinked her eyes and then smashed her head into the ground, "Your Highness! I am not worthy!"
Li Wei smiled, "You are my general, the first one. If you aren't qualified then who is?"
Xie Nie's body shook and she slowly raised her head; her eyes met with Li Wei's, "I am worthy to call demon lord by her name?" she gulped down her saliva.
"Yes Xie Nie, you are the one that is qualified the most. You are the general that will see my rise from the very beginning. Not a single general that will come after you, will be more worthy than you," Li Wei extended her hand towards Xie Nie, "Will you not only become my strongest general but also my second in command and my closest friend?"

Xie Nie's eyes teared up, "Yes, your Highness! Yes! Yes, Li Wei!" she extended her right hand towards Li Wei and Li Wei pulled her up.
"Even if I turned this slime into my minion and even if she listens to me now, that may not be true for the future. Loyalty can't be given by a skill, a system or by anything else, it has to be slowly earned," Li Wei thought.
"That said, you still have to obey the rules that I have set you and I am sure that I don't need to say this but don't do anything that would reveal what you are. Don't use your slime bolt when we are fighting against other monsters and there are, humans, elves, dwarves or any other humanoid race present. And also, don't shout out your skill's name before using it," Li Wei shook her head as she finished her words.
Xie Nie nodded, "I understand, Li Wei. I am going to devour the other two now and fulfil your order."
"Go."
Xie Nie nodded and she walked in Pi Yun's direction.
Li Wei moved her eyes to the carriage, walked up to it and opened the already opened door. Looking inside, she saw a bow, a quiver of arrows and a small pouch. "I didn't see any weapon on him, so he left them here… did he run to take his weapon? No, from his expression it was clear that he was about to piss himself," she thought and touched each object she found.
"That's all it seems," Li Wei thought and backed out of the carriage; then walked to the carriage's front and saw two horses. One black and another brown. "I don't know how to ride a horse and I am pretty sure Xie Nie doesn't either, being a slime and all… but it's not hard I imagine," she thought and walked up to the two horses.
Li Wei looked at the two horses and thought, "Which one to take for myself," she moved her eyes to the horse fastened to the left side of the carriage, "The black one," she moved her eyes to the horse fastened on the right side of the carriage, "Or the brown one…" She then moved her eyes across the two horses several times more and nodded her head, making a decision.
Li Wei walked up to the brown horse, unfastened it from the carriage and then did the same with the black one. She led both horses onto the road while holding onto the ropes that were attached to their muzzles with her left hand; then moved her eyes to her general. Xie Nie was crouching by Pi Yue and the dead girl's body was almost enveloped in red goo.
"Still have a little time, I can allocate those points I got from levelling up," Li Wei thought and opened her character window.
…
…
"I can't use any abilities that deal damage because of mana, attributes that would benefit me the most would be Strength, Vitality and Spirit. Putting points equally in all attributes would do more harm than good… I also shouldn't allocate all points in just three attributes since I am getting 30. I can put them all across the five. Let's see…" Li Wei thought and allocated 10 points into Strength, 5 points into Vitality, Dexterity and Spirit, 3 points into Intellect and the last 2 points into Luck.
Li Wei looked over the changes and closed the window.
…
…
The window closed and she saw Xie Nie sitting on the black horse. Li Wei's eye twitched but she didn't say a single word, she looked at the brown horse and jumped on it in one motion.
A notification flashed and knowledge of how to ride a flashed through her head.
"The system gives me knowledge on how to ride a horse but it doesn't give me instructions how to wield a weapon?" Li Wei thought and said, "Let's go, Xie Nie!" She spurted the horse and it dashed in the direction of the city.
"Yes, Li Wei," Xie Nie spurted the horse after her.
A wide smile appeared on Li Wei's face and she mumbled. "The wind feels great!"
