Her voice seeps into the room, "I have reviewed the footage. Since no one was injured I have decided to postpone your punishment. However, if something like this happens again you will pay for both that incident and this."
"You say you checked the footage? Where's the footage of what happened to Wayne? Who attacked him?"
"Unfortunately we do not have any. A blindspot was exploited in our system, this has been corrected. If you wish to confront someone again you will do it through the official channels."
"You talking about your little matches. Fine then."
Walking to the cafeteria I grab my breakfast and sit alone at my table. At least I tried to, before long the shaggy-haired kid sat down next to me. "Hey man! I heard about what you did with Red. You must really like her or something as much as you get into it with her."
I speak in between bites without looking up, "We'll have our match at lunch."
He slams his arms down on the table, "You really mean it?"
surprised at the sudden outburst I look up at him, "Yeah, I need to start moving up. I've got things to do."
"Oh, you're a confident one. Think you can beat me that easily?"
"Reds the strongest one here and I can handle her."
He leans back laughing as he slaps the table. Honestly, he's so loud!
"Is that what Wayne told you? The toughest maybe, but not the strongest."
"So you have beaten her?"
He shakes his head with muffled laughter, "No she definitely beat me, but I wasn't talking about me. She's just the loudest, don't let her distract you too much. We've got some pretty strong people in the penitentiary wing!" After speaking he shoots up to standing and his chair slides back hitting another table full of people about fifteen feet away. He then jumps up on the table pumping his fist in the air, "I've got a match!" Looking down at me, "I'm going to get ready!" He jumps off the table sprinting out of the cafeteria at an insane speed. Headed straight for a wall he jumps, running along the wall towards the training room.

That guy has got way too much energy. Great and now everyone is staring at me. Once I get this match out of the way I have to try and find whoever attacked Wayne. I haven't counted Red-lips out for sure but for now, it seems like she was telling the truth. I finish the food and make my way back to my cell.
"Hey, I'm having a match at lunch."
"(Click) Yes, Trevor has already made me aware of it. It will be his first match in a while."
"Really? He seems like he loves to fight."
If he does then why would this be his first match in a while? Is that why he seemed so excited?
She continues, "You and him have a lot in common. It makes sense that you would accept a match from him."
"The hell is that suppose to mean?"
"Do you not know about him? I assumed since you voluntarily excepted his challenge."
"Tell me then."
"I can not give you information on your opponent right before a match, that would be considered special treatment. In the future, you should consider gathering information on your opponent if possible."
Is this bitch trying to play mind games on me? I'm not going to fall for it, "Just let me know when it's time for the match!" I drop to the floor and start doing some pushups to warm up.
The guys fast, I'll give him that but sprinting isn't going to help him in a fight since he doesn't seem like the type to run away. We'll see how much that speed translates to the fight, but still. I'm one of the worst opponents he could have picked. It doesn't matter how fast he moves I'll be able to see it.

The door unlocks, "Please head to the arena." I make my way out of my cell and threw the halls. I walk past the cafeteria and then the training room.
Wait, how did I get back to the cafeteria? I could have sworn it was a couple of rights then a left, Shit, was it a couple of lefts and a right?
"Are you lost? Or are you trying something?"
I hear a voice and it reminds me of pain, fuckin sparky is now standing behind me. "I was just going to the arena, I have a match."
"You were trying to go to the arena this whole time? Huuuuff, follow me?"
Damnit, how long has he been following me?
As he walks past me a spark comes off his finger when he pushes up his shades. I leap back making sure he doesn't zap me.
"Haha, don't worry scrawny, you'll know if I want to hurt you."
He leads me to the arena stopping just before the entrance and motioning for me to go in.
"Come on now, show me what you've got."
I walk past him, careful to keep my distance, and into the arena.
Not that many people at all, maybe a quarter of what was here during my match with Red-lips. A good portion of them looks like they're just hanging out in the stands too. Fine by me, the fewer eyes on me the better. Looking to the platform I see the shaggy-haired guy standing in the middle of it looking around the room and throwing his hands in the air.
"This is bullshit! There's barely anyone here!" I step up onto the platform and he gives me a look, "Can you believe this! Hardly an audience."
"It doesn't matter, let's just get this over with."
"Doesn't matter? Of course, it does! You don't get the same feeling unless you have a good crowd. It changes everything!"
"Whatever man." I lean forward bracing myself and getting ready to counter. If he's fast then he'll definitely be the first to strike. I just have to wait and catch him off guard.
He brings his attention away from the stands and faces me, "I heard you went and visited Wayne in medical. I've never been there before, what was it like?"
What?, "How did you know that?"
"Oh, I have my sources!" He leans forward getting into a pseudo sprinter position. "How's his leg doing by the way?"
I start walking towards him, "How the hell do you know that?!"
"You know it's crazy. As many times as Red has thrown him around he hasn't ever broken anything so I thought he would be real tough, but noooope! It snapped like a damn twig and I still didn't even get to see his ability...what a waste."

Ocean Attuned - A timeloop LitRPG
In the mids of industrialization, Liana, a girl of almost twelve, awakens her flow and follows her newly awakened calling, the ocean, and thus the path of the last remaining god. With the advent of industry, one's status and the accompanying skills slowly grow to be secondary as people choose more recreational skills and classes. The clear exception are flow bringers. Humans with an increased affinity towards flow and attunements are the only real remnants of the age of gods and mysticism. Terrors on the battlefield, saints in hospitals, saviours during drought, are just some examples of the wonderous abilities they display. As civilization grows less dangerous so does the stress that is often associated with the awakening of the flow reduce and only the real talents remain. Please be aware that this is a first draft at best. Tag/Genre analysis: Action: A theme that will appear in the story at some point (probably 15+ chapters in) Adventure: Yes Fantasy: Yes Magic, Beasts, and other fantastical elements are totally at home here. Tragedy: Life is not always fun. For what is fun when there are no downsides. I don't know how heavily I am going to lean into this genre. I want to but don't expect too much. Loop: Yes, though I will not divulge anything else. Just be aware that there isn't nearly as much looping as in MoL for example. Female Lead: Yes, Liana is female. Dungeon: Yes, there are dungeons. Yes, they will get explored. LitRPG: Yes, read the first chapter if you want an example. Magic: most definitely because who doesn't like calling lighting down from the heavens. (Disclaimer: No actual lightning will be called down from the heavens) Mythos: There are gods. So maybe, I don't know if that is enough to qualify? Progression: yes Slice of Life: There is plot, and the story will mostly be about that plot, but there will also be downtime because there can't always be action. The first "loop" especially the first 20-30 chapters will be heavily SoL. And afterward there will be a lot less. Profanity: The ocean (see title) includes sailors and we all know how the stereotypical sailor is. Gore: Hmmm, some but I will have it be not graphic at all.
