《PERCEPTION (A New Begining)》48. Sparky

I use the roll's momentum to stand, I was now facing the entrance of the room with Red behind me. Someone stood by the entrance, my eyes met his shades.
A man in a suit whose hair stood straight up. He adjusted his shades while shaking his head, "Do you realize it hasn't even been ten minutes since you were in cuffs. No wonder she had me watch you, your nothing but trouble." He ran his hand just above his head as if he were brushing his hair back. LIttle sparks rained down like lighting on his head and his hair stood up a little more than before.
Red-lips voice came from behind me, "Shit!"
Oh, he can get a reaction out of you just by standing there, yet I have to hit you in the throat with a barbell just to get you to flinch. That said, anyone who can get a reaction out of Red-lips like that is bad news.
The agent looks past me, "Red, did you start the fight?"
"No, you can check the cameras! He's the one who got up in my face!"
"Alright then, you better stay there until I'm done with him." Stepping forward he takes off his jacket throwing it to the side.
I hold my hands up, "I won't put up a fight, just go ahead and take me back to my cell."
He smiles while rolling up his sleeves, "Oh no, you're not getting off that easy. Besides, I haven't had a decent fight since I became an agent. Watching you go at it with Red reminded me of when Red and I used to face off. Those were some good fights, so let's see if you can come close."
Motherfucker, this is not what I wanted. If I fight him I'm definitely going to get locked up again. "I'm not going to fight you!"

"We'll see about that." He is now standing within reach of me. He places his open palm on my chest.
Is he feeling me--AHHHHH!
I get thrown back a couple of feet landing on my back and sliding to a stop.
What... the fuck dude. This guy's ability is annoying! God damn does it hurt. He didn't push me back at all, my muscles just involuntarily threw me back. He's a damn human taser!
Rolling over I start lifting myself up off the ground, that's when I feel his hand on my back. Electricity runs through my muscles causing them to stiffen and contract, locking me in place as the pain surges through my body.
He leans down getting close to my left ear, "Come on now, you should still be able to move. This isn't much power."
Spit begins the find its way through my clenched teeth, I can move but just bearly.
"Maybe it's because you're so small, here, I'll turn it down a little bit more."
The second it lets up I spin around knocking his hand away as I roll to get out of his reach. I take a deep breath now that I'm finally able to control my body.
"Really Red? This is the guy you were throwing a tantrum about! You've gotten soft without me."
Alright, fuck this guy! "I better not get locked up for beating your ass!"
"That's the spirit!" A second later his foot shoots out at me.
I slow down time leaning back as it swipes through the air where my head was. As it passes only an inch in front of my face I can see the little lightning bolts coming off his foot. They graze my forehead making it tingle. I bring my left foot forward and sweep his pivoting leg out from under him.
He falls to the ground just catching himself before he slammed hard. He then rolls back over his head and gets to his feet.

"Not bad mister automatic reflexes." I give him a surprised look and he smiles, "Yeah I know about your ability. I'm an agent after all."
Well looks like he bought my fake surprise. I can't let them realize that I lied to them about my ability. In order to see Wayne, I had to tell them what my ability was. This was the best thing I could come up with. Automatic reflexes gives them a plausible answer to why I can do what I do, but it also gives me room to catch them off guard. This way I can gather as much information as possible before I strike. If that bitch in a box knew I could read an entire document with a glance she would make sure I stayed far away from anything that could be useful.
An example would be letting me into medical where I got to see what was on their computers and some documents. Too bad I have no idea what any of it means.
He starts throwing his hands at me. Why? He isn't making fists but just reaching out for me. Is it because he's confident if he touches me he'll be able to drop me with his ability. Well, based on earlier he isn't wrong.
I step in ducking under his attempted grabs and put my right hand into his jaw. His shades get thrown off his face as I slip back and out of his reach.
He brings his hand to his jaw looking almost as if he was in disbelief, "Not bad, not bad. You definitely do have some solid reflexes and speed... but I've been hit plenty harder than that!" Electricity ripples out of his hand and spreads across his face. As he smiles his mouth is lit up by it and the streaks spread from his face, down his arm, and around his body. He crouches down and little bolts shoot from his hands to the floor, "Let's see you do that again"
"That is enough Justin!" The bitches voice echoes in the room. Right when the words reach his ears all the electricity disappears from him, "Of course warden."
"Take him back to his room and meet me in my office afterward."
"As you wish." He walks over grabbing his shades and rolls down his sleeves, "You heard her, get moving. Red you're free to go, for now."
I slowly back out of the room while keeping an eye on Justin.
"Oh stop it, I'm not going to drop you. If I did I would have to carry you back to your room."
He's got a point, but I don't trust this bastard. All he has to do is place a hand on me and I'll be assaulted by electricity. I make it all the way back to my room without being zapped and he opens the door to make sure I go inside.
Alright then, I wonder when the next time I'm going to get let out again will be.
Damit!
As I stepped into the room I felt his hand touch my shoulder, "You're not bad. But you're not good either. Don't go thinking you did anything impressive back there. A few more seconds and I would have had you fried."
He lets go of my shoulder and I couldn't help but sigh in relief. I can deal with the pain, but whenever he does it I lose control of my body. That in itself is worse than any amount of pain.
I hear the door lock as I sit down on my bed.

Oh, maybe she'll actually tell me how long I'm serving this time.

8 108World Step (Rewrite)
This is a rewrite of my story World Step. Though, in reality, this is my first serious draft. The shadows grow deeper on the planet of Whorrl even as a dark, and ancient ritual takes place within the depths of The Abyssal Mouth—a chasm of both fortune and calamity. The story follows Quintin, a Grandmaster Martial Artist from Earth, as unforeseen elements conspire against him from the depths of space. *No Harem *Strong MC, but by no means does he go through enemies without injury or at least learning something. *Throw on [Horror], and possibly [Psychological] elements. *Dark Fantasy with some [Grimdark] leanings. Notes: this will be a place where I endeavor to rewrite and fix issues. With that in mind, expect revisions, edits, and other things of that nature.
