Let's see, who to target next. He's in a settlement so it'll be hard to get him, but it's doable. The best option would be to wait until the target gets into a more Ideal position. I could always go straight for the big guy but I want to save him for last.

"T we got new orders. We're headed here." Jumper reaches down and points at a position on the map I have displayed in front of me.

"The hell do they want us to go there for? Were a covert unit and that's practically a fucking stand-and-shoot battlefield!" I don't have any targets in that area, it'll just be a waste of time for me."

"Well apparently their units there have gotten themselves into a bad situation and they need assistance before the worst happens."

"Jumper, they told you that? What kind of idiot thinks two people can help multiple units?"

"No T, just one. They want our unit because they need you."

Need me? They shouldn't know--"Jumper, how much have you been telling them about me?"

"It's not right T. You've done so much that you deserve the credit, so I made sure they knew how capable you were."

"You didn't tell them about that one facility, did you?"

"No sir, but the other things you've done... I've been making sure they were up to date on them. You deserve more respec--"

"Jumper I told you I don't care about what they think. You will stop informing them immediately. Dammit, Jumper!"

"T I was just trying to."

"I know Jumper, I know. But now because of my so-called 'respect', I have to not only do more but also go somewhere that will cause me to put my goals on hold."

"I apologize T. I just couldn't stand the way they treated you."

Look at this fucking mess. Do they not know that World War II was 130 years ago!

I dropped my sack in the tent we're supposed to be staying in and then went to head out.

"T where are you going, don't you want to unpack? We'll be here a while."

"Like hell we will!" I storm out of the tent, pushing through men and finding my way to the front lines.

Walking through the camp I saw men sleeping, others huddling in a corner shaking, and the rest seemed to be on the front lines going ballistic and blowing their clips even if they didn't have clear targets. It was just a big fucking mess.

That fat mother fucker looks like he's the one in charge.

I walk over to him, grabbing him by the shoulder to make him face me.

"Who! Who the fuck do you think you are?"

"I'm your fucking back up, now you want to explain to me what the fuck is going on here?"

"You're our back up? Then this was a suicide mission after all. Well, we're not going down without a fight!"

A line appears. Perfect. I shout out as fast as I can, "I'm the fucking superior here and you will obey my orders!"

He looks at me in shock, beginning to throw out a retort, but before he could a bullet flies right through his head and he crumples to the floor. Bringing my arm up, another bullet bounces off my metal cuff and I look at the men who surrounded me. They were in such a state of shock they didn’t even notice the bullet ricochet off my cuff.

“Everyone ceasefire!” They all look up to me like the fucking dogs they are. Nothing but following orders, that’s their life. Some further away were still firing.

“I said cease your fucking fire!” Finally, all the firing from our side stops. I look around and gaze at all of the men, they were staring at me like I was their only hope.

“I am all the backup you have! So, I will only say this once! If you shoot me in the fucking back, you will all die!”

The men looked at me as if I was crazy, ‘He's all we've got!’ their faces said. I reach over grabbing some guns off the men standing near me.

“You two will get this, body, to safety!” A fierce drive returns to their eyes as they picked up the fat man’s body, hefting it away.

I guess they did have some respect for that worthless fuck. All the men have completely accepted me as their superior, what a bunch of idiots. No wonder it turned out like this in the first place. Well, I hope that’s enough to make sure they don’t shoot me in the back.

“The rest of you will cover me! Once I reach the enemy base, you will aim for me! I'll signal you when I have won!” They all looked at me confused but I ignored them, looking to my right, where Jumper had appeared.

Jumper ran up to me, I grabbed another man pulling him towards Jumper. “You, you will show this man where your explosives are!” The young man nodded, “Jumper, I want you to rain down the explosives on them. Don’t drop them all at once, I want them dropping continuously, even if the only way to do it is dropping one at a time. You’re not trying to take them out, just keep them confused, keep them scared.”

“I got you, T!” The young man took off running and Jumper followed. Turning back to the enemy I blocked two more incoming bullets. The men noticed this time and I could hear them making sounds of confusion. I hopped up out of the bunker as soon as I heard and saw the first explosion of many to go off.

All the firing stopped for a second. The men on my side confused and flabbergasted because of what I had just done, the other men shocked not only by me but also by the explosion which seemed to appear out of nowhere to them. I took off running, sprinting as fast as I could to the enemy's base. The bullets started flying once more.

I could see the lines coming from behind me and aiming towards the enemy. However, all the enemies were focused on me. I position ever so slightly as I ran. The bullets that aimed for my head missed, the ones aimed at my chest blocked by my cuffs and the metal rings around my arms, and finally, the bullets aiming for my legs ricocheted off the metal plates in my pants.

The further I made it the more confused and flustered the enemy became. Between me and the explosives falling from the sky, they didn't know what to do. Making it to their bunker I ran across its top, jumping into and landing in the tents they had set up. I was now surrounded by all sides. Fully dressed and geared enemies to my back and half-dressed ones to my front.

This is my favorite part, "Now all of you kill each other!" They all screamed and started unleashing waves of bullets on me. I danced through them making sure the ones that ricocheted off me hit others. It didn't take long before they had wiped out more of their own men than our side did during the whole fight.

Their faces contorted with the beauty of anguish. They had just killed their own brothers, fathers, and friends. I slowly moved around not making an attempt to go for my guns. The remaining men held off firing at me in fear they might kill another friendly. Then once I reached a certain position I saw a line appear, it was aiming for me. I couldn't help but smile as I positioned my cuff, a second later a bullet ricocheted off it and struck one of the men. The others looked around terrified. Another line appeared and then another man was hit.

The few men surrounding me cried out, "Sniper, they have a sniper on us! The men took off running trying to find cover. I moved from my position, the lines aimed at me disappearing. Then I pulled out the two handguns I had taken away from the men who carried the fat bastard's body away. Placing my lines in their backs I mowed down the remaining men as they ran, trying to find cover.

Hopping back up on their bunker I waved my hand signaling to them it was all clear. A line appeared, "Fucking idiots!" I blocked the bullet that flew at me, firing my gun in the air with the other hand. No more lines appeared so I sprinted back to the other base. Once reaching it I called out to the men, "Who was the idiot who shot at me after I had signaled?"

One kid, younger than most here, stood up and saluted. "I'm sorry sir!"

I walked over to him and grabbed him by the collar, I pulled him as I walked across the camp to an open area. "Stand right there until I tell you!"

"Right here, sir?"

"No, a little to the left." He repositioned and I nodded. "Good, now don't move." I walked around and found Jumper, "We're leaving!"

We grabbed our sacks and walked back to the vehicle we arrived in, driving off. I looked back at the camp, one single line coming straight down towards it. Then the line disappeared, a kid standing In an open part of the camp fell to the ground.

"What are you looking at T?"

I sang the words, my face covered with a smile, "Just repaying a favor."
