《PERCEPTION (A New Begining)》Just a Push

Huh, where am I? I'm home?
"MA!"
Why is Ma laying on the floor? Where did all these cops come from? Ma, she's bleeding!
Two guns fall out of my hands but I don't care, I run over to her dropping to my knee's
"Ma! How did? What? I didn't? No!"
I put my hands on her stomach, there's blood everywhere.
"You’re bleeding so fast! Why are you bleeding so fast?"
Someone grabs me by the back of the neck, putting their hand on top of my head for a second before throwing me to the side. "What have you done?"
After lifting myself up off of the ground I see the agent kneeling next to my Ma. His shades move towards me, "How could you do this? All I gave you was a push. Your inhibitions should have been lowered, nothing more. You were supposed to act out a little, not kill everything in sight, especially your mother."
"What... you... you made me?"
"No! I can't make someone kill if they don't want to, more so a loved one, not even if I tried. All you should have done is acted out. Enough to convince your mother you needed to go to the facility. I don't understand. The only way this could have happened is if... you wanted to kill. You wanted to kill even if it was your mother."
"I wanted to kill Ma?...No you made me--"
"I undid it but it's already too late. She's dead, nothing you can do now. She bled out so fast. She has to be a hemophilia or on blood thinners."
Blue and red lights flashed behind me and I look back to see the windows lit up by them. They shined through and painted the ceiling, just like at school. looking through the open door I saw cop cars speed into the yard stopping in the middle of it, stepping out, and pointing their guns at me. The only one not holding a gun was holding his radiophone. It was the same older cop from the day of the school shooting.
"Tom Gun. This is the police. Please come out with your hands showing."
I look back to my Ma. The agent was gone.
"Ma the police are here. They'll save you."
I grab my Ma's cold hand, "Ma you're going to be fine. Don't worry. I'm sorry I hurt you but I'll make it better."
I run my arm behind her neck and the other under her legs then lift her up. I look at her as she's in my arms, her head hanging back with her eyes open.
"Just a couple more seconds Ma, ok, Hang in there. The police are right here."
Turning, I walk out onto the porch. "Ma I love you. You know that right? I would never want to hurt you, right?"

"Put the woman down and show us your hands!"
"Please, she's hurt and needs medical attention."
The older officer I've seen before steps out from behind his door.
"Sargent, what are you doing?"
"Look at the woman for god sake, she's bleeding out."
"Sargent, we can't--"
"Watch me!"
The police officer runs to me, the others still have their guns trained on me.
"Give her here son... Oh, no." The police officer takes Ma.
"Please she's lost a lot of blood, you can take mine if you need to."
He takes Ma and runs back to the cars while a group of police moves in on me. Their guns never wavering from my chest.
"Get on the ground. NOW!"
"Keep your hands where we can see them!
"Put your stomach to the ground. NOW!"
"Drop! Drop! Drop! Now!"
I throw my hands into the air while I lay on the ground. One officer grabs my arms and gets on my back.
CLICK. CLICK.
They lift me up by my shirt and push me towards a car.
Wait, what about Ma. I need to see her before I leave."
"No, get in the vehicle."
"Not until I see Ma! I have to tell her not to worry about me. I can't leave!"
He grabs my head trying to force me into the car. I twist my head and slip out of his grasp to head but him in the face. Blood rushes out of his nose as he staggers back. I slam my body against him and he falls to the ground. The other officers only feet away charge at me while a couple a little further away pull out their tasers. The first one to reach me has his baton out and whips it towards my head. I duck down just missing it and launch myself into the air, placing a foot square in his chest. He gets shoved back and trips over the officer laying on the ground with a broken nose. The rest stop for a split second before pulling out their batons too. One officer swings at my side while another aims for my leg. I jump up again, this time to drop kick the officer aiming for my side. I kick him before he hits me and he goes flying back as I fall to the ground.
The officer who was aiming for my leg moved back all of the sudden. This gives me a clear path to run towards Ma, so I scramble to my feet and take off running. I feel a sharp pain in my back and my whole body stiffens causing me to fall, sliding to a stop on the grass.
I'm barely able to roll over to face the cops, "Please just let me--" A baton hits me in the head and everything goes black.

"Place your hands on the table."
I lower my forearms down into the restraining clamp. When I do the Sargent takes the top half of the restraints and places them over my arms that are sitting in the bottom half. When they connect I feel them both tighten and I can't wiggle my arms in the slightest. Now my hands are handcuffed and my arms restrained.
"Do you remember me? We met not too long ago when that incident occurred at your school. It was because of that incident that I recognized your face on the now-deceased officer's patrol car dashcam."
"I remember."
"Do you remember him?" He slides a picture out in front of me. It was the officer I met at the Shultz house.
"Yes."
"He was with me at the school when I met you. He was a close friend. Do you know what happened to him?"
He was the other officer? I didn't recognize him from there at all.
Should I tell him what I did to him? What the agent made me do. If I tell him he won't understand. I know because I don't understand.
How did the agent "make" me do anything? Does he have an ability too? Is that why he touched my head like that before throwing me to the side. If that's true then when did he first do something to me?
No, I need to stay on track. If I tell him I did it they will just lock me up, that doesn't work at all. I need to be able to...
"How's my Ma?"
"We can talk about that later. For now, you need to answer my questions. With the situation you're in it could only help you if you tell the truth."
"She's dead, isn't she?" Of course she is, I shot her. I watched her bleed out. Even the agent told me so, but I just don't want it to be true. I...killed my own mother. I don't deserve to be sad.
"They aren't going to like me telling you this, but, yes your mother is dead. We did everything we could but I believe she was dead when I got to her. Please, now that I've answered your question, answer mine.
I was so stupid. Why would I want to feel? This is terrible, this feeling is terrible.
"Tom, please. These are serious. You're wanted for the murder of sixteen people, ten of those being officers, and the murder of your ex-partner."
"What? What do you mean ex-partner."
"A sixteen-year-old girl with the name Abigail Maple. I believe she was an ex-partner of yours. She was found brutally murdered in her current boyfriend's house if my information is right. She was found there murdered with three other people, one being Bryan Cole, which was her current partner."
The memories came flooding back like lava, burning away what I thought I knew and replacing it. The night I got jumped, seeing the thief across the street, and getting hit by the car. Just like when I got hit by a car before, time slowed down automatically and I saw.
Bryan Cole, sitting in the passenger seat as the car plowed into me. And... and Abigail, sitting in the driver's seat.
The girl whose face was so beaten it was unrecognizable. That was...her? It's so much to take in that I can't even feel anything.
"I didn't, I couldn't have?"
"Out of all the accusations I have stated, is that the only one you deny?"
"I deny all of it, I was not the cause of it. It was someone else."
"Your DNA was found at the scene as well as the video footage of you leaving the Shultz residence after the officer entered. Mr. Shultz was confirmed to have died previous to the death of the officer. Yet you say it was somebody else? Who then?"
He wouldn't believe me if I told him. No one would. After all, I was the person who killed them. If I try and say someone else made me do it, all they'll hear is "I did it."
"If you don't talk I can't help you, and you need all the help you can get son."
"You wouldn't believe me even if I told you. So there's no point in telling you."
"What makes you think that? I'm sitting here having a pleasant conversation with you while I believe you were the one who killed a close friend of mine. What about that makes you think I'm unreasonable or unwilling to listen. Just being the one to sit here and talk to you could be considered a violation on my part. So please, talk to me."
Is it really worth my time to talk to him? I know I have to make up for what I did but sitting in a cell won't do any good, not if I want to make up for what I did--what I was forced to do. This guy seems like a good person, and that's exactly why he wouldn't understand. But--
"There was a man, who I met with at the hospital after what happened at school."
"Okay... What was the man's name and how was he involved?"
"I don't know his name but."
Knock, knock.
The door opens up and another officer that looked older than even the one across from me comes in. "Sargent, he's been released."
"Released! How? On what grounds?"
We'll talk about that later but right now we have to let him go. It's out of our hands. Boy! come with me and I'll escort you out of the building myself."

Tales of the Legendary Scholar
They meet in the most unlikely moment and turned their life around. Freidrech newly arrived in his own nation's capital city, which is so foreign to him compared to his village's idyllic and nondiscriminatory atmosphere, after he is forced to come. Now, he is facing a royal prince and tells him to bow. This draws out one of his late father's teachings from the deepest recesses in his mind. "The blood of your great ancestors runs in your veins. Don't easily bow down to anyone, or accept suppression by any being, not even from a monarch, unless you pledge your allegiance to him. Also, giving in to oppression is directly telling the oppressor that you're easy prey and open for manipulation." He is uncertain on how to face this oppression right now. Will he bows or not? What will he do to uphold his father's words while keeping his life safe? As for the prince, Theodrech has nothing to do with Freidrech, so he wishes to let this slip, but the boy opens his mouth and proposes the most ludicrous challenge he ever heard and triggers his curiosity. "I, Freidrech Goederf Gerboud, son of the late Village Chief Louvel Gerboud of Wrilon, will challenge you, Your Highness, to a battle of riddles… If you win, I will not only bow but be your servant for the rest of my life." This amuses the prince. It is the first he met a boy of the same age who is not intimidated by the air of authority he projects. Rather, this boy challenges him. "Why are you so headstrong? In fact, bowing to me is an honor. You saw the King's noble Knights. When they saw me, they bowed," says Theodrech, testing Freidrech. "Allow me to be forward, Your Highness. For me, bowing to a monarch does not guarantee loyalty. If I were you, I rather have men who stand straight in my presence but who got my back, than bowing men who are dreaming of my death," replies Freidrech. The prince’s curiosity increases. A huge smile is seen on his face. Prince Theodrech decides to take Freidrech under his wing. Little did they know, this boy who Prince Theodrech takes in as his confidant and friend in the most ridiculous fashion is someone indispensable in his life and the one who can help him succeed the throne when he almost believes he has lost. Thus, the Tales of the Legendary Scholar begins. ------ o ------ Old Synopsis: A famous ancient adage stated, behind a successful man is a woman BUT… In these lands, the monarchs are seeking not a woman to stand behind them but the man hailed as the Legendary Scholar.
