Although Yun Tian still wanted to break through with his dantian before Zhenmen town, as he felt his strength growing through the cultivation of his demonic core, he wondered if he would be able to handle experts above peak dantian building realm just relying on the strength of his body and demonic core.

‘I can’t let my strength make me overconfident,’ he rationalized and put that aside. He would never unnecessarily take a risk that could lead to their deaths just because he might not be able to fully grasp his breakthrough opportunity. After all, his biggest problem right now was that he just didn’t know how strong someone above dantian building would be.

He couldn’t know until he saw one for himself though. So, he could only prepare the best he could.

After their normal session of resting and cultivating, their journey resumed for a few days before they reached another town.

He saw the guards in front of the gate and was ready for the same situation to unfold when suddenly the guard, who appeared to be their captain, walked over and bowed asking, “May I ask if you are a beast tamer, sir?”

Seeing such composed guards who didn’t raise the alarm as soon as they saw him surprised Yun Tian, as did the term beast tamer. He could make a guess at what it meant, but wanted to be sure.

So, he asked, “What’s a beast tamer?”

The guard was surprised since he thought Yun Tian had to be one or at least know about it as he had such strong looking beasts following him around. He wasn’t sure if Yun Tian really didn’t know as he only maintained his usual calm smile he used to hide his thoughts.

Still, the guard explained, “Beast tamers either use strange methods to control strong beasts or raise them from young so they would do what they say. At least this is what I have heard. There are none here in our town, nor has there ever been. I have only heard about them and figured you had to be one when I saw your impressive group.”

“Are you not a beast tamer sir?” he asked with suspicion.

Yun Tian understood the guards misconception and realized it would be an easy way to explain things if he went along with it, but he didn’t want to go along with it as the wolves were not his pets or something like that.

So, he said, “No, but you don’t have to worry about these guys. They are with me. As for my purpose here, I am here to look for high grade qi gathering pills.”

The guard was surprised. Not about the beast tamer stuff, but the stuff about the pills. He immediately realized Yun Tian had to be quite strong if he was looking for pills of that quality.

He could tell the wolves had to be strong from just their appearances, but the guard was not even in the dantian building realm so he couldn’t estimate their strengths very well. Yun Tian's words though made him realize that he was dealing with a big shot.

His already polite attitude became even more courteous as he said, “Sir, I can bring you to the Spirit Market, or the Gu clan if you would like.”

Yun Tian thought about it and decided with a smile, “How about you just blow that horn on your waist instead?”

It was much faster if he just gathered every expert in town with the guard’s horn. He could ask everyone all at once. And it was the host’s duty to greet his guests anyway.

Hearing Yun Tian’s words the guard was surprised and thought for a moment.

‘This horn is supposed to be used in emergencies, not for someone to call people over. He does seem to be quite strong though. Wouldn’t want to anger him. Hmm. This is kind of an emergency.’

By Yun Tian’s side Shen Yu released a soft giggle at the man’s changing expression and Yun Tian’s odd request.

In the end the guard relented and said, “Alright I will do so right away then.”

With that he took the horn off his waist and blew it so everyone in town could hear, just like what he witnessed in the previous towns.

At the same time Yun Tian wondered, ‘How does every town have the same system to call in an emergency? Must be because it's easy to make and use the horn. Also it's quick. No phones here after all.’

After blowing the horn the guard went to the side and waited along with Yun Tian. The reason he went to the side was to create space for those about to arrive. The reason he didn’t leave outright was only so he could explain the situation to the town’s experts when they arrived. He didn’t want to create any misunderstandings.

Yun Tian was waiting for the town's strongest expert to appear first like usual when he heard something and a smile appeared on his face. Shen Yu was about to ask him what he was smiling for when suddenly two people came over the town walls from opposite sides.

They stopped in front of their group and the two newcomers inspected Yun Tian’s group as he did the same.

One was a middle aged man with some gray hairs in a brown robe.

The other was a middle aged woman with long flowing black hair wearing a blue dress. While it was obvious she was middle aged she still seemed somewhat youthful and still was very beautiful.

Seeing this, Yun tian was surprised. Not at the woman's appearance or beauty, but that there were two peak dantian building experts here and neither of them seemed weak or especially old.

He immediately grabbed Shen Yu up into his arms just to be safe. While he was confident of protecting her from a close distance if there was only one peak dantian building expert, now that there were two, it was best to hold her in his arms.
