《The Strength of Duality (Newly Edited)》Four Breakthroughs

Shen Yu was about to question why he went through with the trade, but Yun Tian interrupted her saying: “He is the only one I can get them from right now. So, he can set the price however he wants. It is my choice to purchase it for that price. He has no reason to sell them to me at a low price.”
He still remembered learning things like supply and demand back on earth.
Shen Yu however still didn’t think he was right as she said, “So what? He still should have given you a good price. You could have even snatched them without paying with your strength after all. You were also so polite to him.”
Yun Tian didn’t completely deny her words, but he still said, “I don’t think we should get on the bad side of the Spirit Market organization. That’s the most important reason.”
Shen Yu didn’t completely understand why, but as she thought about why he was saying that, she realized some of the reasons he might think that. In the end though, it was Yun Tian who said it. So, she completely trusted his words.
Yun Tian changed the topic saying: “Anyway, it is time for us to leave. Are you ready?”
Shen Yu confidently nodded her head saying: “I’m always ready to follow you.”
Yun Tian smiled and shook his head.
Then he said, “Let’s not waste any time then. After all, we have a long way ahead of us.”
He would have to slow down for the wolves and he also planned to make many stops along the way.
So, immediately after his words he snatched up Shen Yu as she made a surprised gasp. Then he ran ahead and started to go faster and faster while the wolves followed right behind him.

He went through the paths and over buildings as he made a beeline straight to the north side of town.
The town was quite large, but with their speed they soon made it to the other end.
Without stopping he jumped right over the gate with the wolves trailing behind, causing a gust of air and shocking the guards currently there.
However he did not care about that. Yun Tian didn’t look back as he travelled down the path north with Shen Yu in his arms and the wolves around him.
His face sported a smile almost as bright as the one Shen Yu had. She was looking at his face and once again enjoying being carried by him.
He was very gentle while holding her in his arms as he gracefully sped ahead with the Crane Flight skill.
They travelled for a few hours going a great distance before stopping and going off the path and finding a place to rest.
None of them went to sleep though as they all started cultivating instead. Yun Tian had more than enough demonic cores to last them for a while.
And, they could actually travel for much longer than even one whole day in one go if Yun Tian wanted to. But, he wanted to stop and cultivate every once in a while. One reason was to build up the qi within his demonic core. Another was that the wolves aside from Bolin were growing close to the breakthrough to the mid demonic beast stage.
Once they all broke through, they could greatly increase their travelling speed.
As for Shen Yu who was also cultivating near him, she still had a while to go before she could break through to the dantain building realm. There was nothing he could do to help her. It all depended on her efforts.

They cultivated for a few hours and then continued their journey once more.
At the end of the second day as they were cultivating and resting, something changed. They were all cultivating, when suddenly they all stopped and turned their attention to Yun Jin. Shen Yu’s senses weren’t as great as the others’, but she saw the smile on Yun Tian’s face while looking at the wolf and realized what was happening. Jin was about to break through.
They all gathered around and watched attentively as he went through the breakthrough process.
Yun Tian’s excitement grew as he felt the energy within the wolf spiking. At the same time though he felt worried.
Demonic qi coursed throughout the wolf’s entire body refining and strengthening it, but throughout this process, the wolf was experiencing great pain. Still, Jin endured it all without making a sound.
The breakthrough didn’t take long to end, but it felt like an eternity had passed. When it did, Yun Tian felt amazed as he looked at the wolf. The feeling he gave off greatly changed. He could tell that the wolf’s body had become very strong after the last breakthrough. Much sturdier than any normal mid stage demonic beast’s body.
After recovering for a few moments and standing up, the wolf howled into the sky to announce his new strength, with the rest echoing him.
They all celebrated with him for a while and went back to cultivating or resting in Yun Jin’s case. He needed to let his body rest for a while. Yun Tian knew they would need to rest for a while so they spent an extra long amount of time cultivating and resting.
The other wolves still in the early stage, Qing, Zan, and Zhi, were putting their all into cultivating so they were not left behind. A few hours into their rest Yun Qing actually approached the breakthrough as well and successfully made it into the mid stage demonic beast realm.
She was the one who stayed behind with Shen Yu the most when they went cultivating so Yun Tian thought it was normal.
After she broke through, Yun Tian knew they had to rest for a while once again. So, he decided to instead go hunting with Jin. The wolf had spent enough time resting and recovering.
And, they needed more demonic cores. While he still had a lot of late stage demonic cores currently, he also went through them at a decent pace. Jin could test his new strength while Bolin stayed behind to watch over those still cultivating and resting.
Also, Yun Tian was itching to test out his new sword.

An Average American in A High-school Academy Anime
An American versed in narrative tropes and more than mildly acquainted with anime wakes up in a completely different bed than the one he went to bed in. Now he has to scramble to understand where he is, what's going on, and hope to God he isn't in a relationship drama. I don't expect this to be good or well-received, but I have plenty of time this quarantine, so I'll try to get a chapter of 4000-10000 words out every one or two weeks. (haha) Please let me know how it can be improved. I'm an avid reader of fiction, but I've never really fallen down a rabbit hole so hard that I can name all tropes and settings and such by heart. I'm not sure if this will be effective satire, so I preemptively apologize. Inspired by: "My Life is Not a Manga, or maybe..." by EO Tenkey and "The Simulacrum" by Eganthale. Check them out if you want probably better stories than this one.
