《The Strength of Duality (Newly Edited)》Only Stronger, Faster, and Smarter?

As the Wolves’ attacks were quickly about to hit him, he had to make a decision.
Yun Tian’s decisiveness and instinct for battle had greatly grown through each of the battles he had gone through.
So, even in this dangerous situation, he was able to quickly make a plan and follow through with it.
He turned his focus onto the late stage wolf, making its heart palpitate, as it thought that Yun Tian had chosen to try and kill it since he would die anyway.
Obviously, this was wrong though, as Yun Tian had no plans on dying. With his great momentum already putting him on course with the peak stage wolf and the speed the peak stage wolf displayed, he would not be able to dodge it.
Still, he could use some fancy moves to make it through this.
The late stage wolf was right next to him at this point and he stopped using the Wolf’s Lightning technique, as he also put away his sword.
Suddenly he moved his body like water and managed to get his arms around the late stage wolf and hold onto it. Seeing his movements it tried to stop him, but his body was completely like water, extremely flexible as he latched onto it.
Even the late stage wolf was only slightly bigger than normal wolves so his arms got a good grip on its waist.
He managed to offset the force of its charge, but he wasn’t done yet as the Peak stage wolf was currently about to use its claws and to attack him.
Suddenly and extremely quickly, he used the force of his entire body and put his foot down into the ground. He swung with all his might managing to throw the late stage wolf between him and the peak stage one.

The late stage wolf cried out in terror for its leader to stop its attack, but the peak stage wolf showed no remorse and its attack continued slashing right through the late stage wolf, cutting it in half.
The peak stage wolf’s claws continued onward towards Yun Tian, but he had managed to buy himself some time while also diminishing a lot of the force within the wolf’s attack.
He still didn’t have enough time to deliver a strong attack with his sword though. But, he had prepared a large amount of his qi within his palm. Using all the strength he could muster with his body, he thrusted his palm towards the claws unleashing a Cloud Palm.
His qi became soft yet firm and managed to diminish a lot of the force behind the attack even though the qi with the palm was quickly slashed through and dissipated.
It then clashed head on with his palm, luckily most of the force had been dissipated and his body’s defenses had greatly grown.
Still, the wolf’s claw’s were extremely sharp and managed to leave four deep trails on his palm. At the same time, the peak stage wolf was actually knocked back by the great force he exerted with his palm.
It was knocked backwards twenty steps but managed to stay within control of its body as it kept its eyes on Yun Tian the entire time.
It bared its teeth, but within its eyes was a combination of regret, fear, and anger.
Even in that disadvantageous position, Yun Tian managed to come out of it with only some minor wounds, while causing the death of the late stage wolf.
He demonstrated his great strength and made the wolf realize what kind of enemy it was fighting. Yun Tian was smarter, faster, and stronger.

It still calmed itself though, as Yun Tian still had not demonstrated any attacks that could threaten its life, while it was proven its claws could injure him.
At the same time, the rest of the wolves around were also frightened, but they continued to charge at him.
He endured their attacks with his qi barrier and body, while killing some of them with his bare fists.
At this moment, he couldn’t be happier. Now there was only the peak stage wolf left that could threaten him. But he had used up a large amount of his qi in that last palm attack, along with defending himself with his qi barrier.
He would have to be quick or else he could risk running out of qi in his dantian and be forced to fight purely with his body enhanced by demonic qi.
He charged towards the peak stage wolf once more, but it howled at the same time and in response the wolves around became even more frenzied. The demonic beast realm wolves straight up ignored their companions pushing them out of the way to charge at Yun Tian.
They did all they could to slow him down and attack him. With them almost completely abandoning their lives and their great numbers, the peak stage wolf managed to stay just out of his reach.
He was forced to kill as many of the wolves around him as he could. He either used his sword slicing them in half or killed them with one punch that destroyed all their internal organs. At the same time he managed to stay decently close to the peak stage wolf. He was worried that it might try to make a run for it.
While there were many wild beast realm wolves they could barely stop him at all. As for the demonic beast realm wolves there were only so many.
He quickly whittled down their numbers, while also using the minimum qi he could. He kept his cool and even smiled, because right now Bolin and the rest were also stealthily killing many of the wolves around since they were all focused on Yun Tian.
With each of his attacks able to kill a mid or early demonic beast realm wolf, he only had to use his qi to defend himself. At the same time, he wasn’t taking every attack head on as he switched between movement techniques managing to dodge a lot of their attacks.
Seeing Yun Tian deal with the rest of its pack so easily, the peak stage wolf didn’t know what to do anymore.

Please note: the Sexual Content tag is there due to a single brief plot-relevant scene, which has a warning at the beginning. For other details, read the full description below. Rating breakdown, since that should be public info: 5 x 5*, 2 x 4.5*, 1 x 0.5* During a blackout, a frail and ragged old woman stops to ask for a glass of water from a backyard barbecue party. Given a good supper instead, she looks around the group, and tells them, "Be who and what you truly are." Days later, seven of the people from the barbecue find themselves drawn into a trap laid by a pair of wizards and their accomplices, who kidnap them into a bubble reality. All seven, who have known each other all their lives, are informed that they are not in fact entirely human: they have active fae blood, due to a series of conditions culminating with the blessing of the elderly fae woman. The transformation into fae form comes as a shock: all seven, whether originally female or male, find themselves now unreasonably beautiful women. More urgent even than that, though, is their captivity. Getting back to the real world is a higher priority than this metamorphosis that rapidly begins to feel natural... but this is only the first step, as the diverse types of fae blood they carry begin to surface. With no resources except themselves, how can they escape this prison? If they succeed, how can they possibly reclaim their lives? Just how many other faelings have been kidnapped, anyway, and what happened to them? And is there a way to make sure that their captors never put anyone else through this? Back in the real world, Kayla, who learned long ago to trust her gut instincts, is absolutely certain that something is very wrong. The pattern in the list of missing friends is easy to spot, but makes no sense at all. Then a young woman turns up at the backyard gate who knows more than she should, and even though her explanation makes even less sense, every instinct tells Kayla that Riley is her only way to get them back. If they're not quite what they were, well, that's a bridge to cross later... Just a little note: I'm a big believer in endings that are upbeat but not candy-coated, and not a fan of grim-and-gritty or of glamorized violence. These are adults in a difficult situation. However, no one gets raped, and the physical violence is, all things considered, fairly minimal. There is some harassment, sexual and otherwise, and also some mild restraint and mild verbal abuse. Complicating factors are generally wizardly or fae in nature. If I need to warn you about gender in this being all over the map, some of it reality-based rather than fantasy-based, highly diverse sexuality, or that there is (especially later) some indirect fetish/BDSM imagery and honest character discussion, then you probably should just avoid everything I write. :-) Also available on Scribble Hub.

The Ordinary Life of Tom Nobody
[participant in the 2018 NaNoWriMo Royal Road challenge] The Ordinary Life of Tom Nobody is a LitRPG system story where each person transitions into the system, or SCHEMA as this system is known, innocent and unaware of his former life. Following the tutorial, memories return, but by this point, each person has a better chance of accepting their new world. It also gives them an opportunity to start from scratch, fresh without all the baggage of their former lives dictating their decisions in the early stages of the process. I don’t expect this will necessarily turn into an action-packed heroic tale, my intent is to create a character who wants to have just an ordinary, but reasonably comfortable life. I don’t know myself how well he will succeed, there may be twists and Tom may discover some heroism hidden deep inside. I guess we’ll find out together. This is my first writing attempt. I’ve wanted to write all my life, but I’ve never been able to develop the proper discipline to put in the work. I hope I complete the challenge and work my way past this hump. I am writing this as part of the NaNoWriMo Royal Road Challenge. While I will try to self-edit as I go, the challenge requires close to 2,000 words a day, so parts of the story may be rough, and things like plot lines may not make as much sense as any of us would like. If all goes well, and I complete the challenge, I plan on going back through everything and trying to polish it up. In the meanwhile, thank you for reading and I hope I don’t disappoint.
