《The Strength of Duality (Newly Edited)》Post Breakthrough Rest

They were all gathered together when Yun Tian took out the corpse of the Yun clan’s clan leader, his grandfather, and asked Bolin, “You said you could absorb the qi inside his dantian if you became strong enough right? The same as a demonic core right?”
Bolin was surprised and unsure why he was asking this, but the wolf still nodded.
At this, Yun Tian mentioned the plan he had in mind, “I was thinking that I could try and absorb the qi from the dantian and convert it into qi for my own dantian.”
Shen Yu was surprised at first after hearing this. Then, she realized that he might be able to do it. He had a demonic core just like demonic beasts and could absorb qi from demonic cores. It wouldn’t be too surprising if he could do the same for human’s dantians. After all, demonic beasts could do it and his body was even more special than demonic beasts.
He continued on saying, “Initially, I planned to do this right after my demonic core’s breakthrough. But, after my experience just now, I want to gather more resources for my dantian before I approach the breakthrough.”
The process he went through while breaking through saved him a lot of time and greatly increased his strength. He wanted to do the same while breaking through with his dantian. He could use late stage demonic cores, but it would ultimately be less efficient and wouldn’t allow him to best grasp the opportunity while in the process of the breakthrough.
“So, I want to head back to a human town to get more resources. We will also start heading towards the Zhao clan in Shenzhen city. First though, we can deal with the Chen clan. I am more than strong enough now to make it so the Chu clan wouldn’t be able to stop me. At the same time, we can find out more information there.”

Shen Yu agreed with him, but said, “How about we rest tonight first and then leave in the morning?”
Yun Tian just realized that it was indeed already dark out. So he said, “Sure that works too. I can stabilize my cultivation some.”
Shen Yu however grabbed his arm and said, “No! You can do that after getting a little rest. Bolin, you need to rest too. Get over here.”
Bolin came over and Shen Yu held Yun Tian’s arm as she pulled him to lay against the wolf who had also gone with the flow and laid down. Shen Yu pulled Yun Tian so they were both lying against the wolf. She continued to be pushy as she pulled Yun Tian and laid her head on his arm.
Yun Tian flashed a helpless smile doing whatever she wanted and said, “Okay, okay you’re right. I am exhausted anyway. Let’s get some rest.”
In fact, his mind was extremely fatigued and he just felt it now when he decided to rest. His body had also gone through great changes and could use some time to acclimate to them. He had momentarily forgotten about this due to the excitement he was feeling and his newly strengthened endurance.
The other wolves also laid down to rest around them with Yun Zan going next to Shen Yu. She put her hand on his head and ran her hand through the fur on his head saying: “Good night everyone,” while having a big smile on her face.
She was extremely happy right now. She had Yun Tian and the wolves who cared for the two of them all around her everyday for three whole weeks. She was blissful the entire time, except when Yun Tian came back with injuries.
Besides the happiness she felt day by day, now that he grew in strength, that obviously meant there were less people that could hurt him. How could she not be even happier right now?

As Shen Yu was basking in her happiness, Yun Tian was instead watching the stars once again, but this time he couldn’t help but say to Shen Yu, “Shen Yu don’t you think the stars in the sky are so amazing.”
Shen Yu didn’t know what to say for a moment, after having been brought out of her daydreams, and just looked at the stars to see what she thought about them.
In her mind she thought, ‘They are just stars aren’t they? But, Tian seems to like them.’
Still, she said, “Yes, they are nice, but you are the most amazing.”
That was what she really thought. Since Yun Tian liked them, she also thought they were nice, but she cared about him more. At her words Yun Tian patted her head and said, “Yes, I also think you are more amazing than any star in the sky.”
The night was silent after that and their group rested for a while with all of them waking up after a few hours except for Bolin, Yun Tian, and Shen Yu.
It did not take long after for Bolin to wake up as well. He had rested plenty the day before. Afterwards, all the wolves returned to cultivating. Bolin reinforced his breakthrough to the mid demonic beast stage and the others were slowly inching their way to the breakthrough.
Yun Tian and Shen Yu slept for a while longer with Shen Yu waking up first. She saw that Yun Tian was still sleeping and made breakfast for him.
Yun Tian awoke a while later to a hearty breakfast of roasted pig one of the wolves hunted.
They ate together while chatting happily and then returned to their cultivation.
Yun Tian took out a late stage demonic beast core and started to absorb the energy in it to stabilize his cultivation of his demonic core after breaking through to the late stage with it.
As he started though, he couldn’t help but question one thing, ‘Do my stages with my demonic core correspond to the normal ones for demonic beasts?’
This was something he hadn’t thought about before. He thought they should be since his demonic core was so similar to the normal ones, but since he didn’t know for sure, he could only toss the thought aside before focusing his efforts back onto cultivation once more.
As he was cultivating, he did manage to confirm one of his hypotheses though, but he didn’t know whether he should be happy or upset.

This is the first book I ever started out of my four current ongoing stories. This story has been edited through nearly a dozen times since the majority of the reviews, so take that in mind if you read through the reviews. This is a LitRPG and cultivation-based novel where the two are interlinked and the characters have to reach a certain degree of cultivation and a certain level in order to break through into the next tier. I tend to make a lot of maps for this book. I hope that you all enjoy my novel, and feel free to comment on any issues or errors you may notice. My Discord Server Top Web Novel Link
