Yun Tian had a sense of unwillingness and a feeling of unfairness build up within him. Chen Long had made it far away at his point, but he had just gotten the means of beating Chu Hong. He was just too low on qi to use them.

Chen Long wanted to kill him and Shen Yu, but he had the power to fight back and would have killed him. Then, someone who also wanted Chen Long dead showed up, but they were forced to protect the person they hated.

Yun Tian cursed the heavens for giving power to everyone who wanted to harm him and those he loved. Even the people who did not wish him harm, had to go against him.

It was at this moment that someone else showed up too.

“Clan leader are you alright?”

It was the late dantian building Elder of the Chu clan who had arrived.

“I am alright brother Shen.”

He arrived next to Chu Hong and inspected Yun Tian.

At this point, no matter how unwilling Yun Tian knew he had to leave now. There was nothing else he could do at this moment.

He gave one last hateful stare towards what he could barely still tell was Chen Long in the distance. Then, he regained his composure and turned towards Chu Hong and spoke.

“I will leave now then. There is nothing else I can do at this moment anymore. Don’t worry, I don’t consider you as my enemy.”

Hearing this, Chu Hong breathed in relief. Yun TIan’s last move had really scared him.

At that moment though, the newly arrived Elder said: “Do you think you can just leave now?!”

With that Yun Tian’s gaze turned slightly sharp, but Chu Hong quickly interrupted before he could say anything back.

“Brother Shen stop spouting nonsense! I am sorry young friend. Please don’t take offense. Elder Shen is unaware of what we have spoken of.”

Chu Hong continued saying: “I likewise hold no grudges against you. In fact, I would like to become your ally or friend if I could. For now though, it is best if you leave. At least for the sake of appearances.”

Since he said that, Yun Tian didn’t bother responding and just directly left.

After he sped away, the Elder couldn’t help but say: “Why are we just letting him go clan leader? He is clearly low on qi and there are the two of us. He probably had some good stuff on him too. After all, he is so young but still has such great strength.”

Chu Hong couldn’t help but shake his head and say: “You don’t see the bigger picture. Even though he is weakened, I still don’t have great confidence in being able to make him stay here, even with you helping.”

Chu Hong then introduced another point that he didn’t want to deal with even if they could win.

“Also, we don’t know how strong his background is. Besides that he is the enemy of Chen Long which makes him our friend. Everything considered it is much better to try to be friendly with him.”

Hearing this and realizing it made sense, the Elder couldn’t help but say: “You are right clan leader. In the end, I am still narrow minded and seeking immediate benefits without seeing the consequences.”

Chu Hong didn’t continue saying he was wrong and instead said,“Both of our approaches have their merit, but I just feel mine is safer. That kid just gives me a dangerous feeling, like we can’t afford to offend him.”

Yun Tian made his way towards the edge of town, but he didn’t leave quite yet. There were still the wolves outside the town and he needed to recover his strength before sneaking past them.

He could do it now, but he felt the need to completely recover just in case anything happened.

With that, he found a building close to the edge of town and near the walls. Once he decided on one, he stealthily landed on the roof.

After that, he said to Shen Yu who was still holding on to him “We should be safe for now. My plan was to rest here for now and recover my strength. Next, we will sneak past the wolves outside to meet back up with Bolin and the rest. Then, we will head back to the Yun clan. Is that fine with you?”

This entire time Shen Yu had been silently holding onto him as she had been afraid to distract him during the fights.

Seeing that they were safe now she slowly let go of Yun Tian and put her feet on the ground. After that, she looked at Yun Tian and was just staring silently at him for a moment. She inspected his entire body and winced at the minor cuts he had. They had already healed partway, but she knew they had to hurt.

Seeing as Shen Yu wasn’t saying anything Yun Tian questioned: “Are you al…”

He was cut off though as Shen Yu jumped at him and they fell down together on the rooftop.

She cried and softly said: “What do you mean am I alright? You are the one I am worried about.”

Yun Tian just held her and comforted her saying: “I am fine. Don’t worry.”

He understood why she would worry. Events had kind of spiraled out of control.

They just laid there with Shen Yu on top of him for a while. They both looked like disheveled messes after everything that just happened.

Neither of them cared about anything else at all for a moment. They just held each other and it was as if they were the only things that mattered anymore in the world.

After a while, when Shen Yu was calm and they both relaxed she started praising him endlessly.

“I’m sorry, you just worried me. Still, I knew you would be fine. You are the strongest. Even those strong clans couldn’t do anything to you. Even when carrying me and fighting so many of them at once you were fine. They used numbers and bullied those younger than them, but you still are stronger. My Dage is the best there is.”
