Hearing his words Shen Yu wanted to kiss him and tell him just how much she really loved him. She didn’t though as she was still figuring out her own feelings and didn’t want to distract him at this moment.

Instead she only said “I love you too Dage, now go break through. I know you can do it. Again though, even if you can't it just means we have to try different things.”

With that Yun Tian sat on the bed and looked at Shen Yu.

He said “At least sit on the chair, you can bring it to the end of the bed if you want.”

There was a wooden chair in the room along with a desk.

Shen Yu thought that this was reasonable so she said nothing and did what he said. She brought the chair to the end of the bed and looked at Yun Tian.

She acted like she wanted to burn his image into her brain. She stared at his hair tied up in a ponytail and admired his handsome face.

The smile of excitement along with clear determination in his eyes absolutely captivated her.

Even while just sitting there he gave off an aura as if he would disappear from her eyes in the next second if she looked away... So she didn’t.

While she was staring at him, he was doing the same to her.

He looked at her long glistening hair and the cute innocent expression on her face while she stared at him and while he looked at her he felt his determination grow.

Thus he thought ‘I will break through no matter what.’

With that he took out one of the mid grade demonic wolves corpses.

At the sight of it Shen Yu’s expression stiffened. She could tell how ferocious it was when it was alive.

She asked “Is this one of the wolves that hurt you?”

Yun Tian nodded and proceeded to make a cut with his sword and reached in to take out the core.

Shen Yu was just as used to the corpses of animals so she didn’t flinch at all at this sight especially when she thought about how this wolf had hurt Yun Tian.

He took out the demonic beast core from it and they were both shocked at the sight of it. They could both feel the great energy in it.

Yun Tian however was much more shocked than Shen Yu. He could tell just how much more energy this thing contained than early grade demonic beast cores.

This one core definitely contained much more energy than just double that of an early grade one.

It was more than that. He could feel that it was that the quality of the qi inside it was much better too.

While Shen Yu could only tell that it was larger and had more energy than an early grade one. This made sense as she couldn’t even perceive how much energy was in an early grade one in the first place.

He stored away the corpse and held the core in his hands. It was larger than an early grade demonic core.

This mid grade core was nearly the size of a ping pong ball while the size of an early grade one was only a little larger than a marble.

Just from that alone you could tell the difference.

He held it in between his closed hands and calmed himself down.

He could feel that his body craved to absorb the energy inside it.

He didn’t let it go out of his control though and made sure he was in control of the absorption process.

He had noticed before that if he didn’t control the process the qi inside the core would basically be split among his body, dantian and the core in his chest.

This time he wanted it all to go to his dantian. This was his precaution since he didn’t know what could happen if sent some of the energy to the core in his chest.

He didn’t know what would happen if it broke through, especially before his dantian.

He also didn’t want their breakthroughs to happen at the same time since he didn’t know what could happen. All in all he did everything as cautiously as he could, but still pushed forward with vigour.

Once he was ready, he started to absorb the energy in the core. He felt it flowing into his body through his arms and he made sure he had complete control of it as it travelled toward his dantian.

Even though this was the case as it was travelling through his body, some was absorbed by his body and he could feel just how much more it strengthened his body than the early demonic cores.

Finally the stream of energy reached his dantian and was absorbed.

He paid close attention to the situation inside his dantian. He watched as the energy entered inside his dantian and the effects of it.

After absorbing some of it into his dantian he started to feel slightly bloated since there was a large amount of energy that was extremely powerful entering into his dantian.

He pushed on though and at some point he felt like a barrier had been broken and a transformation happened inside his dantian.

The qi inside it was refined and the quality became much greater.

The amount naturally became lesser as this was happening, but each strand of qi in his dantian now carried much more power than it did before.

That was not the only thing that happened though as he felt the qi push on his dantain and be absorbed into its fabric at the same time.

He felt his dantian grow in size and sturdiness at the same time.

Before he broke through he had a look of pain and anguish on his face as if he was struggling to contain something.

While this was happening Shen Yu watched in worry. When he broke through though a brilliant smile appeared on his face that washed away all her worries and made her want to jump on him and hug him while crying in joy.
