He snapped himself out of those thoughts with a cough and went back to checking his condition.

He took off the bandage on his waist and was happy to see that his wound had healed considerably. Looking at it he felt that he would be in top shape again in only a few days at most.

This made him happy and after he changed his clothes into a new set he walked out and down the stairs to look for Shen Yu.

At this moment she just so happened to be helping Ming Yu make breakfast while Wu Chen and their daughter played at the table.

Ming Yu saw him come down the stairs and said “Good morning. Sit down at the table. Breakfast will be done soon.”

With that he said “Good morning to you too. Thank you for making us food.”

“Nonsense your sister also helped me so it’s fine.”

Yun Tian sat at the table and looked at Shen Yu making food with a smile on his face.

He was broken out of it though when Wu Chen talked to him.

“Good morning. How are your injuries? Are they still healing fast?”

Yun Tian replied “I still have no idea why, but yes I should be fully healed extremely quickly at this rate.”

Wu Chen had a troubled look on his face, but still said in the end “You know, some big stuff happened outside town last night. Everyone in town is supposed to not leave for a while too.”

Yun Tian already had an idea of what happened, but he wanted to know the full story so he asked “Oh, do you know what happened?”

Wu Chen looked straight at Yun Tian as he said “A huge group of wolves appeared outside town with a large number in the demonic beast realm. In the end, the dantian building experts in town joined together to scare them away and no battle happened.”

“I don’t know anymore than that really though. My subordinates notified me of the situation and then the Chu clan took over and sent all others away. I learned what happened after I left when they spread the news.”

He paid attention to Yun Tian trying to see if he would have a reaction, but since he was not surprised about the wolves he was only interested hearing that they scared them away without fighting. That made his expression gloomy since that meant the wolves were hard to deal with.

While saying this Wu Chen thought to himself ‘His wounds definitely could have come from a wolf. I wonder if he is connected with what happened last night? It is just too much of a coincidence.’

Just as he was about to ask Yun Tian a question though Ming Yu and Shen Yu came over with their food and Ming Yu said “Breakfast is ready. Let’s eat.”

With that they all started eating and Yun Tian complimented the food many times.

Ming Yu said back “Your welcome. Wu Chen isn’t even as nice as you.”

Wu Chen quickly said “Honey I love your cooking, you know that.”

This interaction made Shen Yu laugh and take a look at Yun Tian having her own fantasies in her head.

At the end of their meal Ming Yu asked them “So do you guys have any relatives or people you know here in town?”

Hearing this made Yun Tian remember he actually did know someone in town. He had saved members of the Feng clan on the way to this town.

Thus he asked a question in return “I happen to know someone in the Feng clan. Do you know of the Feng clan?”

Hearing this they were surprised and Wu Chen asked him back “Do you know anything about this town?”

Yun Tian responded “Not really.”

Wu Chen said back “Alright I will give you a brief overview then.”

After that he told them about the strongest clans and a brief overview of their power.

Hearing this Yun Tian realized why they were surprised.

Yun Tian thought ‘Oh well it doesn’t really matter if they realize some things.’

Wu Chen couldn’t help asking again “So you really know someone in the Feng clan and not some other weak one?”

Yun Tian repeated “Should be that strong Feng clan.”

Ming Yu asked “Are you close with them? What is your guy's plan for the next while?”

Yun Tian said “We are not very close with this person in the Feng clan.”

After that he looked at Shen Yu and thought for a second.

Then he said “My idea was to heal for a while and once I am completely recovered we would make our plan from there. I don’t plan on visiting the Feng clan yet either.”

Shen Yu assented saying “Whatever you want Dage.”

Hearing this Ming Yu cut in saying “Alright then. I don’t think you guys have anywhere to stay besides an inn then right? Why don’t you guys stay here for a while? It doesn’t seem like it would take you very long to heal anyway.”

Hearing this he looked at Shen Yu who once again said “Your choice Dage. I am fine wherever.”

He thought for a second and decided that it would at least be safer staying in a resident’s home then an inn. He would garner less attention this way too.

“Alright if you really don’t mind we would like to stay here, but only if you don’t mind. I have money too if you want.”

Ming Yu quickly responded “Hush about the money. We are doing this because we want to, not because we want money.”

Wu Chen also nodded at him to indicate he agreed.

With that he could only smile and scratch his head in embarrassment.

Wu Chen interrupted their conversation though saying “Since that is settled, then I have to get to work. I will see you guys later. Bye honey. Bye princess.”

“Bye Daddy.”

“Bye Honey”

WIth that he gave them each a kiss and then left just like a typical working dad who cared for his family.

Shen Yu was the first to say anything after he left.

“Auntie Yu, me and my Dage are going to go upstairs for a moment if you don’t mind. I would like to see his wounds and change the bandages at least.”

“Okay, then tell me if you guys need anything.”

Yun Tian thanked her for the food once more and then they went back to the room upstairs while Ming Yu entertained her daughter.
