After Wu Chen left Elder Hao said “This matter will be tricky to deal with. If we aren’t careful this could go very wrong. I have to go notify the clan head immediately.”
After that Elder Hao headed to the Clan Leader’s residence.
He reached the clan leader’s residence that was in the very center of the clan. Seeing him coming, the two disciples at the doors of the residence asked him politely “May we ask what Elder Hao needs?”
Elder Hao quickly said “There is a matter of great importance that demands I speak with the clan leader as quickly as possible.”
Hearing this and seeing the seriousness on Elder Hao’s face one of the disciples said “I will go and notify the clan head immediately.”
Right at this moment as he was preparing to enter to find the clan leader a voice came out of nowhere saying “No need I am already here. What is the matter Brother Hao.”
After that a middle aged man who did not look very impressive came out of the doors. He looked like any normal man. From appearance and aura he gave off alone the only special thing about him would be the signature green robes of the Chu clan.
One would be surprised to find out though that this man was in fact in the peak dantian building realm.
He and Elder Hao were in fact brothers and that was one of the reasons the disciple went to him.
“Elder Brother Hong there are currently a large number of demonic beast realm wolves outside the town as we speak!”
Hearing his words the disciples were taken aback and so was the clan leader. Except for his initial astonishment he quickly regained his bearings and said “Gather all of the elders and send word to the other clans to send their own dantian building experts as well.”

Elder Hao interrupted him from leaving and said “They are primarily at the western gate, Elder brother.”
Wu Chen had included this in his explanation of the events going on.
Clan Leader Hong replied “Okay have everyone gather there except for a few that go to the other gates, just in case. I will head there first to check things out.”
With that he basically disappeared in the eyes of the elder and the disciples.
He reached the west gate in a very short amount of time. Less than a minute passed since their conversation.
The clan leader peered out into the wilderness.
He saw that the wolves were not coming too close to town, but they were around it and there were large numbers of them. This included those in the demonic beast realm.
He thought to himself ‘A pack of wolves this large and strong could have a tough to deal with leader. We will have to see.’
‘Why are they here though. Demonic beasts will avoid human settlements usually. I don’t know why they are here, but the best outcome would probably be to avoid a fight with them.’
Publicly, in town he was the strongest expert at peak dantian building realm. The Chu clan also had two late dantain building realm experts. Six mid dantian building realm experts and a few early dantian building realm experts.
The Chu clan was the strongest in town. The other two next strongest clans would be the Feng clan and the Chen clan. The Chen clan had their Late dantian building realm clan leader and another late dantian building realm Elder. The Feng clan was the same as them.
The clans both had a few mid dantian building realm and early dantian building realm experts as well.

This was all that was known in public.
Besides these three clans there were also a few weaker clans in town with some early or mid dantian building experts only.
If Yun Tian knew the strength of this town he would be surprised since it was much stronger than his hometown.
Clan Leader Hong stayed at the top of the gate looking at the wolves surrounding the town and waited.
Eventually people started to show up around him.
First, it was the Elders of his Chu clan since they were the first to get the news. All of them greeted him politely as the clan leader upon arrival including the two late dantian building old men.
Elder Hao showed up as well and told him about the Elders and other clans he assigned to the rest of the town.
He nodded in assent to his brother.
After his clan members showed up the next to arrive was the Feng Clan.
The Feng clan members all arrived together. Upon arrival the two clan Leaders greeted each other.
The Feng clan Elders generally wore white robes and their clan leader unlike the Chu clan leader’s had a heroic aura around him and looked impressive. He still looked similar in age though.
When he arrived though he still greeted the Chu clan leader respectfully “Clan leader Hong good to see you. Although the circumstances are poor right now. Do you know why these wolves are here?”
It could be seen that they had a decent relationship since Chu Hong said in reply while laughing “Brother Bao do we really need the formalities still?”
He continued on after saying “I don’t know why they are here, but this could be a lot of trouble for us. We will have to handle this carefully since we don’t know how strong the leader is. I think the best option would be to scare them off.”
At this moment another voice cut in “I agree with clan leader Hong. We should play it safe and try not to engage in conflict with them.”
This voice came from the Chen clan leader Long who was dressed in black robes like the rest of his clan members behind him. He looked slightly older than the other two clan leaders.
He gave off an amiable air and looked like a caring old man.
When he arrived though the Feng clan members looked at them with hateful expressions.
Chen Long noticed this and looked at the Feng clan members. He confirmed something in his mind from their expressions.
