《DK (Dropped)》Chapter XX - Entrance

The Arach group led the shadow minion to the valley's border, the entrance of the valley.
(Wow, the difference is huge!) The scenery was so different compared to the valley.
As western forest ended just a bit before the entrance. This entrance was a simple plain that had it's sides covered by the magical impassible mountain.
But what it amazed me the most, was that after that small plain, there was another forest of a different type.
The forest in the valley was made of clean huge pinewood trees with random big bushes.
(It's a huge swamp forest?!?) I came to this conclusion.
A huge swamp area with trees of a million different shapes spread outside the valley entrance.
(So they made sort of a camp? On the plain that's in between the forests?)
At the entrance, the Arach group started to make small piles, first starting with the wolf corpses and then adding the pieces of their own kin.
They all sat around the piles and seemed to be waiting for something.
"Great DK!" Cleopatra touched my chin as she called me.
"Yes?" I answered her.
"It's getting late, so I will go get some sleep!" She informed me.
"Very well, good night!" (dk)
With a head bow, she left the Great Hall to her bedroom.
At that time, almost everyone were done with their meals, the only exception was Caesar who was having a few extra bunnies.
"Great DK, have you thought about Caesar's plan?" (Ragnar)
"Y-Yes, I want to know what we will do about our enemies!" (Leonidas)
Caesar, busy with a full bunny on his mouth, simply nodded at the other two Generals words.
I opened my right hand close to the Generals.
"How many warriors do we have?" (DK)

"White God! We have 27 warriors prepared to follow your orders!" Ragnar answered in a military tone.
With that answer I opened my left hand to the generals. "And how many wood tip spears?"
I stared into Leonidas.
"W-Well, only have 35 wooden spears!" (Leonidas)
Then I held my left hand on my shin.
"At first day light, I want you to take 20 young wasps, and make more of those weapons!" I ordered Leonidas.
"But, Great DK! What if they attack while we are gone?" (Leonidas)
"I don't think none of our enemies will attack us yet, the wolves are too busy defending their den and the Arach are too busy fighting them!" I informed the wasps of my thoughts.
"Very well, Great DK!" (Leonidas)
(Yes, there were at least 40 Arach on the group, but they seem to prioritize on the wolves, that's the reason that until now, only a scout team reached us and since they don't know what happened to it, they will assume it was the wolves fault!)
As I reached to a conclusion, movement happened on the Arach camp.
Suddenly from the swamp forest, a dozen more Arach came to join them the camping group.
(So does this mean that they use that area as a camp? Do they get reinforcements every night? Or is that a patrol?) I wondered as I checked that none of the new Arachs had any captured bodies with them, so the option that they were a hunting group was erased.
The smaller group joined in with the larger group and divided trough the piles.
Then they started to devour everything, even the bodies of their dead kin.
The Arach were cannibals.
I decided to stop viewing them, not because of the disgust, but because I would not get intel from them eating.

As I looked at the wasps, the three Generals where still on my front.
"Ah, Ragnar, tomorrow, pick the five best hunters to hunt bunnies and teach the young wasps." (DK)
"Of course! It will be done, but may I ask why?" (Ragnar)
"While Leonidas makes more wood tips pears, we will train, as a proper army!" (DK).
The three Generals bowed their heads, giving me their confirmation of agreement.
(Judging by the wolves numbers, I should have at least one more day, maybe two before the Arach defeat them completely!)
"Now, I advice everyone to get a good rest, I will inform the details in the morning!" I informed them as I prepared to rest.
(It is still early, but I will need to be awake the next entire day and night, besides I need to update my skills!) I reminded to myself.
I waved my hand, wishing good night to the wasps while I went underground.
As I felt more comfortable, I closed my vision.
(Open skill tab!) I shouted in my mind.
The skill tab promptly appeared on my front, with Weak Shadow Minion completed, I had to choose my next skill.
(Start Weak Life Leech!) I spoke to the skill tab.
But a timer did not start, and a white line surrounding the icon simply appeared.
(Oh! I slept for almost 3 days!) I reminded to myself of my previous slumber.
(Start Weak Ally Heal!) I screamed at the tab skill.
And once again with no timer in sight, another icon was surrounded by a white line.
(Excellent! All weak skills learned!) I felt proudful as I decided wich would be my next skill.
(Now start Good Ally Heal!)
At that moment a timer appeared.
Good Ally Heal ETA: 1 day and 18 hours.
(Wait, I know I got some extra time, but it should have not been reduced for an entire day!) I wondered while checking the timer and reminded how much free time I had.
Was it a bug? That's what I thought on this moment, the skill was supposed to take 3 days, but according to the timer, it was clear that it was doing it for 2 days.
(Oh well, not like it matters, the faster they complete, the better it is for me!) I decided to ignore this "bug".
(Close skill tab!)
With this task done, I decided to take a break and relax, but this time only for a few seconds, so I would not repeat the previous situation.
