《DK (Dropped)》Chapter XVI - The Pyramid

As I was half the way to the second floor, I suddenly bumped with the queen.
"My apologies, good morning Cleopatra." I told while helping her regaining posture.
"Its alright!" (Cleopatra) "Did more enemies appear?"
"Fortunately, no! Tell me how are the cocoons?" (DK)
"They are very healthy! It should not be long until the new wasps are born!" The queen told me with a giggle.
(Good, because I will eventually need them!)
"What about todays eggs?" I curiously asked her as I put my hand on my chin.
"Great DK, I normally lay the eggs at midday!" (Cleopatra)
"Very well, please come to the Great Hall, so we call speak together." I politely asked her.
With a nod, she agreed and went down the stairs.
(Well, got nothing more to do upstairs, Ragnar should have returned by now?)
As I entered the Great Hall, Cleopatra and Ragnar were waiting for me in front of my resting place.
(Now that I think of it, maybe I should ask the wasps to make the floor the same as the walls, with the exception of my bed?) The floor of the Great Hall right now was still covered in grass.
I sat on my usual place and looked at the two wasps.
"Welcome Ragnar, please give me the cloth." (DK)
While he gave me the cloth, I asked for one more favor. "Please, Ragnar go upstairs and bring a few bunnies!"
He nodded yes and immediately headed upstairs.
As I waited for him to come back, Cleopatra once again laid on my legs as I checked the cloth.
(So I was right, the cloth is indeed red! It looks very nice compared to how it looked like before Ragnar washed it!)
A few moments later, Ragnar returned with a group of dead bunnies.
"Are we going to eat now?" Inquired Caesar who apparently warped in the moment he saw the bunnies.
(Seriously? Are bunnies like a drug addiction to this guy? I didn't even see him approach me!)

"Yes, but today will be different." (DK) "Leonidas! Come and join us!" I shouted towards him.
I rose up and headed to the right wall of the Great Hall.
"Caesar let me borrow one of your swords, and Ragnar, give me a bunny." (DK)
After they gave me what I required, I held the bunny on my left hand and the sword with three fingers of my right hand.
"Great DK, are you going to eat?" Ragnar asked me, wondering about my actions.
"No, just give me a moment," I told him as I opened up a bit of chest of the bunny with the sword.
After opening it, I returned the sword to Caesar.
"Thank you, now pay attention please." I spoke to them as I inserted my finger inside the bunny and removed it as I made sure it was covered in blood.
Taking a few moments, I made a drawing of a pyramid, divided into five floors.
"This is a pyramid hierarchy. It's function is to show the different ranks of this hive. The most important ranks stay on top." (DK)
All the four wasps seemed confused at my words.
(Well, its still incomplete...)
"Now, Cleopatra, I want you to drawn a dot on wich floor you are in, also do the one on where you think I should be in with the bunnies blood." (DK)
After hearing me, she dived part of her arm on the bunny and moved near the wall with the pyramid hierarchy, then she drew one circle on the top floor and a second one on the second top floor.
Then she turned to me, waiting for my response.
"Good! Now I want Ragnar, Leonidas and Caesar to each draw where they think their rank is!" (DK)
I waited for all three to make their blood circles on the pyramid.
(I was expecting them to draw their circles in the middle or something, but all three picked the lowest one?) I was a bit surprised about their choice.

"Cleopatra, where did you draw me?" I asked the queen.
"Of course, I put you on the top floor!" She happily answered with another giggle.
"Did any of us made it wrong?" (Cleopatra)
"Thank you for doing this, now I will explain and fix your ranks." (DK)
Before they all panicked about their circles being on the wrong place I told them. "Unfortunately, they are all wrong, but don't worry, I will teach you the right ranks!"
I drew a new circle of blood, but it was not on any of the pyramid floors, it was on top of the pyramid, like the sun or the moon.
As I pointed to this new circle, I explained to them. "This is me, the Lord of this Land!"
And as I lowered my finger to the first top floor. "This shall be the royalty rank, the queens and princesses belong here!"
Then suddenly I pointed at the lowest floor where the three warriors put themselves. "Here is the rank of the unborn wasps!"
I started by focusing my finger on the first circle, "This represents the eggs!" I moved my finger to the second circle, "The second one represents the larvae!" and once again I moved my finger to the third circle. "The third circle represents the cocoons!"
Quietly. they all kept listening as made another circle on the next floor, above the rank of the unborn wasps.
"This rank, is where the newborn waps belong! They will need to be trained for both battle and domestic work!" I explained to them.
Then, on the next rank, wich was the middle one, I drew 3 new circles.
I told them, "Here is the current rank of Ragnar, Caesar and Leonidas! This rank belongs to Warrior wasps! A warriors wasp job is to teach the newborn waps, improve their current fighting capabilities, fight on the army and will also help complete whatever task the Hive requires of them!
For a newborn wasp to become a warrior wasp, he requires to know how to take care of the newborn, how to hunt for food and to know the basics of the sword, spear and shield!"
"What about the rank between the royalty and the warrior wasps?" (Cleopatra)
I answered her while holding my head on my chin. "Ah, that one will belong to warrior Wasps who either you or me deem worthy of this rank. This rank will be for Wasp Generals!"
And I will teach Wasp Generals how to properly lead a warrior wasp army!"
"Great DK! Does this mean that I can become a General and personally learn from you?" (Caesar)
I told him "Yes." and paused for while the three warriors seemed quite excited.
(Considering how these guys don't seem to have a trained commanding officer on the field, it's no wonder that they barely survived against the Arach, I seriously doubt that any of their previous queens left the hive at all!)
"Caesar, let me borrow your sword again, please!" I once again asked him for his sword.
With the sword, I grabbed the cloth and cut it into three pieces.
"I want you three to be Wasp generals, and each of you will wear a piece of this red cloth, it shall be the proof from me that you deserved your rank!" (DK)
"Great DK! Thank you!" Caesar said to me, gladly taking one piece.
"This is a great honor!" (Ragnar)
"I-I will try to do my best to be worthy of this!" (Leonidas)
In the end, all three wasp warriors accepted them.
"Well, Cleopatra, this is all that you need to know, I suggest that you take a few bunnies for yourself and return to your bedroom as the Great Hall is not completely safe!" I suggested to her.
"Okay!" The queen released another giggle. "I have to go prepare myself to lay the new eggs anyways!"
As the queen of the hive walked away, it was time to teach the new generals of the basics that they needed to know.
