《DK (Dropped)》Chapter VIII - Wasp Hierarchy

As I sat down above my grave, I waved the wasps to come close.
The queen sat, but the three warriors did not.
"Why did you not sit?" I asked the wasps warriors, wondering if something was wrong.
The leader stared at me. "Great DK, we do not deserve to sit when the queen is already doing so! The thought that we are as comfortable as our beloved queen... If feels distasteful!"
To see them stand did not feel comfortable to me, but, it was how their culture worked.
"But I also sat the same as your queen. Does this not make it feel distasteful to you?"
"Of course not! You are Great DK! Our savior! The White God!"
(OH! Good, she shared that part! I know what to say, but sometimes, it is best to wait a bit...)
"So, if the queen sits on something better...." I paused, while moving my hand upwards into contact with my chin. "will you sit?"
(Bet this would work better if I had a beard, all mystical and shit...)
The leader did not answer, he and the other 2 wasps simply confirmed nodding their heads.
"Good to ear, Queen, would you mind laying in here instead?"
On that moment, I crossed my legs, with my right hand pointing at them.
The queen still stood in the same place. (Did I screw up or?)
"If I do that, won't I bother you?" The queen asked me with worry.
"No, not at all, come!" (DK)
Movements happened, leading to a scene as the queen rose up and walked to me, promptly, she laid down on my legs.
After she had done it so, the three warriors came closer, forming a horizontal line.
To describe the scene, the three warriors were now sitting on the ground, while their queen laid on what it looked like a throne, a throne of bones inside a large room, a great hall on wich my body made sure to point out the most important person in the room.

"Comfortable?" I asked all of them.
Three nobs came from the warriors.
"Much better than the floor!" Pleasantly replied the queen with a giggle.
(Got no idea how my bones are more comfortable than the floor, but if she is not complaining, then it is all good to me.)
"I have been wondering for a while, does your kind not give names to individuals?"
"We only treat ourselves with the name of our jobs in the Hive" Replied the queen. "We have queens, princesses, drones.Drones either become warriors or workers depending on our needs, a princess is a potential queen, queens lay eggs.
When a second queen appears, the oldest queen turns into the Matriarch queen, the Matriarch together with other queens command the Hive."
(So in the future, if there is a second queen, I must make sure she is younger, otherwise I will crush her to keep this one in command.)
"Even so, I would like to distinguish at least you and the three warriors. After all, you are special warriors for ensuring the survival of your kind, is it not?" I inquired the wasps.
"I would love to be given a name by you!" (Queen)
"I would be proud of having one too!" Answered the leader.
"A name from the White God would be an honor!" (Spear Wasp)
"Pl-Please me too!" Said the shield wasp with a timid voice.
I took my time to decide, with my right hand again in my chin.
"For a queen, only a beautiful name is worth of you" I paused for a moment. "Cleopatra" I softly said to the queen.
"Yes! I love it!" Cleopatra said with a giggle.
The three warriors nodded as they also enjoyed the name.

"The one with the spear! Shall be called Ragnar."
"An honored name!" Ragnar said while raising his spear.
"The one who likes to use the shield! Your name shall be Leonidas."
He did not answer, he simply raised his shield, looking proud of his new name.
"The one with a scar on his left eye, will be named Caesar!"
He rose up one of his swords and shouted. "A warriors name indeed!"
I gave a few moments for them celebrate, while the queen laid on my legs, the three warriors kept jumping or flying around with their weapons.
(Well, they had their fun...) I raised my right hand to tell them to calm down and waited until they sat down again.
"It is getting late, is it not?" I inquired as the room was getting darker.
"Are you hungry? I think it is time for supper." (DK)
"I could eat, laying eggs uses my entire energy!" (Cleopatra.)
"I want more bunnies! Delicious!" (Caesar)
"Did you not eat plenty of them already?" (Ragnar) "I will probably have to hunt more of them tomorrow because of you!"
"But I am hungry!" (Caesar)
"I would not mind a bunny or two." Murmured Leonidas.
Everyone was pretty much hungry.
"Well, then, let us not waste more time." I spoke and with a nod, the wasps agreed. "Ragnar, please go fetch us enough bunnies, Leonidas and Caesar, I want you to do something to illuminate this room!" I commanded.
"Be right back!" (Ragnar)
"Very well!" (Caesar)
As for Leonidas, he simply nodded and helped Caesar.
Each started from one of the sides the room, both making a line of lights with that wasp liquid wich seemed to turn into a solid form after a few moments.
"Cleopatra, tell me, is that the same liquid they used to make the walls of this Hive?"
"No, while the one we use for the walls comes from of mix of our saliva and tree leaves, the second is a mix of saliva and the remains of our food that does get digested." (Cleopatra)
"AH, I see, very useful indeed!" (DK)
(I did not expect for shit to be an ingredient for such things!)
(Good thing I was now a skeleton, this would probably be very disgusting to me when I was a human!)
A few moments later, the lights were positioned on the Great Hall and Ragnar descended from the stairs with nine bunnies.

In Range
A young, talented, and aspiring archer makes his way to the Olympic Archery Qualifiers; however an accident prevents him from ever making it. An accident which took the final years of his adolescence, his dream of ever becoming an Olympic Gold Archer, and most importantly someone who meant the world to him. Rehabilitating for a year in a hospital, the despair and dread of being alone and having nothing left worth living for finally got to him. Finding his way to the rooftop, he decided fall, but where he expected death, something else appeared; a blue message. A chill and simple LitRPG story that I just wanted to write. Note: I write with the Dark Theme setting, so if I make a colour mistake it’s probably why. I also strangely prefer using the Imperial System to measure Height, while I use the Metric System for almost everything else (Canadian by the way).

Storm of the Elementals
The apocalypse was something that people were expecting to happen sooner or later, rising sea levels and everything. What our protagonist didn't expect was it to be from a system, let alone the fact that he missed it. Waking up as an elemental and being given frighteningly little info from a system that seemed a little off , stuck with 3 other eccentric individuals that he could almost swear are a bit dodgy, and not being quite sure he was human anymore, it was the start of a long day. It only got longer when he found out he was moved to a whole different world. ~ This is a slow burn story, focusing on the world and what happens if an eccentric historian gets transported in a world with systems and power that are not quite meant for him. ~ Some things you can expect: -No harem, god no. -Yes the protagonist is strong, no he isn't completely OP. -Other people who have been changed, he isn't the only special or chosen one who got transported or messed with. -It is sad to actually have to put this here, but the main character does shockingly have common sense.
