"The People were known for their music.
They sang melodies who's notes strung chords in the heart of every man, woman, child and even beast who heard it, such passion it contained.
And song was in the hearts of the people, an integral part of them, song resonated down to their very souls. Legend has it that their children did not cry shrilly when born, but laughed in delight at the tunes they heard, and sometimes joined the music by laughing in rythym.
The People did not war, they had no need for it, every disagreement ended with a song shared and they remebering the beauty in sound only the other could create
Many wondered what would happen if there was a day in the City where a song was not sung, yet no one cared with Travelers and Kings Journeying for Miles just to hear the mosst casual of the peoples songs, and the people prospered, their city prospered as their music never ended
One day a long time ago, The Sky went dark, all across the seven kingdoms, yet the people sang even in the darkness their voices raised, their songs joyful. Even in the darkness, their song was light, but as the darkness grew, the voices dimmned as though from a distance yet they raised their voices loud as they could as a thousand songs joined into one, a marvelous song who's sound reached Kingdoms far away, with that song the darkness seemed to retreat a little but it crashed back in like a tide into shore, the song dimmed and soon there was silence.
The sun returned bringing with it its glory, yet no song greeted it leaving the bewildered guests of the City confused, they searched and turned the city inside out, yet none of the People remained

Their song had ended and the People were gone."

It had been three months since I came to the village.
It had taken some time but the villagers had warmed up to me, they greeted me on the odd mornings when I decided to take a walk around the village, although they still feared me enough that they referred to me as Lord Mage, I wont lie I enjoyed being referred to in such a reverent manner and the manner of reference was distinct enough that I still hadn't given my name to them.
I hadn't made any breakthroughs in the use of my ability, but through careful selection of words, actions, and thought, I had been able to avoid causing another phenomenon that almost killed me, though I think at some point I may have caused Anna, the girl who had been cooking for myself and Vali to fall in Love with me, whether through Magic or not she had taken a fierce liking to me, I knew not because I was an expert on women but because at 16 she showed it the way only a young innocent village girl could, the attention from a girl as pretty and kind as she is being new to me I had grown fond of her, and if I didn't have to keep my stoic image I would have already been following her around like a lost puppy.
I hadn't seen much of the man who had beaten Vali, whom I'd found out was Vali's Uncle, his name was Bartrand and he was the Tavernkeep, Vali's parents had disappeared a few months before and his uncle had taken him in, treated him like shit but taken him in was more than most could ask for. The rest of the villagers helped as much as they could but couldn't interfere as much because Bartrand was the second biggest man in the Village and the second most violent, The First was Von who I assume was the one my sword had sent flying with magic, I hadn't seen any of him, the villagers think that because he'd tried to steal a Mage's treasure he'd run from the village for fear of my wrath.

Speaking about my treasure, I hadn't so much as touched them since that day, but somehow we were connected, I could feel them from my room no matter where I went in the village, like the warmth of the sun on my skin from whichever way they were, and the feeling was comforting.
Vali had grown taller in these few months, I'd had Anna preparing a bowl of whatever she served me for him, and I don't know if it was due to the food or time like everybody else he had warmed up to me and had been asking me questions about magic, I didn't know any magic so all I could do was give answers that were so vague and looping they could cause a computer to experience a Logic Paradox Loop.
Also a result of being close to me, Vali's position in the village had been raised and he was now very popular especially amongst the children, they would ask him questions about me and whether I changed into other creatures or the powers I summoned, he was young and as a result had embellished my actions by giving records of magic I had never performed, but it had served to increase my mysticism in the eyes of the villagers, so I pretended not to notice and he pretended not to notice my noticing.
Life in the village was calm and gentle, I didn't mind staying here until I learnt my powers properly, I had food, a Warm bed, a girl who loved me, and People who respected me, it was perfect.
What could possibly go wrong?

Oracle by Default
Oracles are known as divine handouts passed down from the Holy Creator. There are times when evil exist and the Holy Creator wishes to intervene, to which the title of the Oracle is bestowed upon an individual to become the Creator's will in physical form. The Oracle's mission is to then gather heroes from different races to purge the evil. “For the reckoning that is to come, all are tested. Thou shall be the shadow of which valiant souls shine and guide thee through harsh trials. Till oblivion comes, do not turn astray but to continue down the path thou chosen to walk. Lastly, thou must not see eye to eye with, but against the world.” A mysterious man engraved a seal onto Kihet before saving him from being consumed by the flames. The seal seems to have a strong connection with the legends of the Oracle and a Tower with no entrance that suddenly sprouted near the village. Throughout years, his efforts to study the strange tower remained fruitless. Then one day, the village decided it was time for his friends and him to become envoys to look for the potential evil the Holy Creator detected. Before Kihet can set off on his journey alongside his friends, he has his own set of problems to overcome against the village. Note: It's slow. There is romance, but it plays a small role that I don’t know if I should add it in the tags. Main story starts at Chapter 12. Chapters before do contain meaningful context for the rest of story.

Armed with runescrived weapons, armors, and items, they're sent to investigate the ruined temple of a fallen god. Author's aside here: I am writing this mostly to improve my writing and storytelling skills. During the course of developing and writing the first volume of this project, I've learned a lot, but I've also come to realize I have so much more to learn. I appreciate any and all suggestions, comments, corrections, and observations if they are, of course, reasonable. I hope you genuinely enjoy the story.
