Tyler POV

I woke up, my head groggy from the dreams, I lay there getting used to the feeling again, and trying to recall what I had dreamt but for the life of me I kept drawing blanks. What had happened?

Slowly I began to feel myself again, my limbs were once more familiar, my senses active greedily sending impulses to my head like their lives depended on it, my head had cleared a bit the fog lifting enough for me to recall my circumstances and dealings with a God. At the moment it all seemed so distant, like a dream, so slowly I opened my eyes, knowing that once they were, I would see the familiar ceiling of the hospital where I provably went after the beating I was given and where i'd been hallucinating for the last, who knows how long? And so in seconds my eyes were fully open, what greeted me was not the cold unfamiliar white of the hospital ward but wooden logs cut in a crudely even way stacked against walls of mud and stone with hay and wood as a ceiling.

Shit.

As soon as I said that I recalled my previous accommodations which my mind had held distant for my sanity's sake I presume, and all of a sudden the crude logins seemed not so shabby, homely in fact, but the question was, where was I? and what was I doing here?

I made to get up causing the things that were placed beside me to rattle ever so slightly, I don't think it was loud but yet the sound seemed to echo and resonate within me causing me to pay more attention to the other items sharing my bed; a rod, a staff, and a sword, three items simple looking, plain and unadorned lay there on the bed. I reached out to pick them up and get a closer look, but as my hand drew nearer, I could feel a sense of rightness growing within me, a connection between me and it, and it gave me comfort, somehow I knew that I had created them and they would never break, they would comfort me.

I drew away, confused by these course of events, I had created them? how? when? my mind spun with questions when, the weapons seemed to dim and of a sudden the moment in the pit when I had been reciting the verse I used to comfort myself flashed to the front of my thoughts unbidden, and suddenly I was sure that was the moment they had come into existence, I watched myself chant until I passed out, I watched the light around draw to a point, I watched some sort energy leave my body even as I grew increasingly pale, I watched the rod, the staff, and the sword take form, and as soon as they were whole I saw them pulse with light as they stopped taking energy from me and increased the draw on the light around, I saw the earth and waste around me dry up as they lost energy, I saw the weapons start to shoot energy back into me, i reached out to touch it and of a sudden in my mind i had a birds eye view of the area around as animals in the ground died to feed my energy, i saw a the green in the vicinity lost its luster, the trees doomed to die there standing, I saw life extinguished with some small animals tuning directly into dust, all to feed my wish for weapons and to fufil my weapons purpose to protect my life, i saw it arc some condensed energy to drive off a huge person who had probably tried to help, i saw it all and i was sickened.

Soon the vision ended, and my view was restored leaving my heart in turmoil, I knew that they had shown me that, not from any sort of consciousness, but because we were still connected as such their entire being was shared with me, it spanned a short few moments but it meant so much. Although i was sickened, i did not, could not hate them, they had no malice but had simply acted on the basis of their birth, to protect and comfort, they had protected me from my own stupidity and the price had been the life of a small ecosystem, it was my fault, but they had done so because they lacked guidance, i would use and guide their power

They were mine

It was my duty as their Creator.

I reached out and took them, the sword in my right the staff and the rod combined in my left, and I accepted the feeling of rightness.
