《Climber: Towers of the guardians》Chapter 7: On Your Marks

I woke late, a late-night brewing all the potions I had ingredients for with the ability to correctly recall recipes I was only limited to the materials available. [Crafting Success: 10x Potion of Snake Agility] what else helped was my alchemy apprentice ability.
Mass Fabricate [Apprentice Alchemy]
Two for the price of one
x2 the number of potions crafted, for the materials used
that was the last batch of Potions I need to craft I looked at the inventory of my previous night crafting. [100x Snake Eye Jack Potions, 50x Lesser Healing Tonics, 26x Minor Stamina Tonics, 30 x Lesser Mana Tonics, 40x Flame Oils, 10x Potion of Ox Strength, 10x Potion of Owls Wisdom, 10x Potion Of Snake Agility, 50x Go-Go Juice, 30x Sent Blocker 2x Cure-all]. My big-ticket items should be the go-go juice and the sent blockers; Go-Go juice was like taking 17 expressos into your bloodstream. Your speed, stamina, and stamina regeneration would sore, but it has a side effect of the crash. While the [Were Hounds] of where a bloodhound once they had your scent, your only choice was to kill it or feel the tower before they killed you; now, there was a 3rd option. Both potions where a bit ahead of their time; everything else would bring in some money but not much. Cure-alls were expensive to craft, like 200 Gold in ingredients. I had already planned to give one to Walt; he was a good man, but with the mass fabricate ability, I crafted two, so the second one was going up for auction.
I gathered everything that I was going to need today, packed it into my spatial ring, and locked the door to my apartment as I left. Humming as walked down the street I noded to others walking on the street, for all the problems of tower town, one thing always made me smiled was that everyone walked; actually, some people rode horses or big cats of floor 15, but they were rare. With my recall ability saw some familiar faces, people climbed with, some guys I met in the pub, a woman or two that I had a night of passion with, those memories brought a grin to my face, too bad I didn't have time to relive those experiences. I picked up the Sunday paper, with the change I had on hand, and sat on a bench in front of Walt's shop he wouldn't open for another hour, and I had nothing else pressing so I took a minute to relax. Pegasus Guild Clears the 23 Floor the headline read, Peagus guild formed in the early days and was one of the front runners in the American tower, Australia had some great guilds too, but we were stuck on the 22nd floor. Maybe I should contact some of the front line guilds help them rise through the floors; this thought passed through my head before I shook it off, I would not give the future of the human race into the hands of another. I pulled out the box to give to Walt and walked around the back of the shop, resting ruined my mood, so I decided to leave it at the back door. I banged on the back flyscreen door I was about to step away and leave the box when I heard "I'm coming you bastard" what made me stop wasn't the words that were said but who said them, opening the back door was an angry Alice in a pink robe and bunny slippers. oh shit, a quick warning with my heighten reflex, and I dodge the flying cricket ball.

"Jesus!" I yelled and dodged another hurled object, "Fuck! Alice clam Down," I yelled as I Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive, and Dodge, all manner of household objects sent my way. "Alice, I wasn't lying!" I yelled, my only hope was she thought I was lying and trying to avoid her. "Check the item tag of the Gold potion." I dove behind a bush in Duch's back yard. I waited for the next object, but it didn't come, what did come was the sounds of sobbing. Poking my head out of the bush, I saw Alice crying on the back step cradling the Cure-all potion. At that moment, a furious Walter came out of the house, holding an old looking double-barrel shotgun.
"Okay, Where is the boy that hurt my Alice" he raged, I ducked into the bush. "come out Max, I see you there, stand up and face your death like a man" he aimed at the bush, I probably could take both barrels to the chest but if it was the head I was a goner.
"Pa, Stop" Alice yelled at him "He didn't Hurt me he saved you," she staggered over to her grandfather and handed him the potion. I heard the gun hit the ground then Walter shortly after. Dammit, the shock killed him, I thought when I heard him collapse. Then came the laughter of a man that escaped death.
I finished business up with the Duch's, declining staying for a celebration, explaining the spirit stones I left them, and giving the whip over to Alice. I could see the determination in her eyes as I went and knew that she now believed me. One down three to go, I would have to check the facebook group that night to see if Will did what I told him to do, J and Darren would be a week at the most. With that bit of excitement over I headed over to the auction house, Tower Auctions, they held auctions every Wednesday and Sunday, it was an excellent place to get a bargain on bulk items, also where the most exciting stuff turned up. It was a sizeable warehouse-style building sectioned off into three sections, the auction theater, the stacks where products where stored and bulked items usually got auctioned off, and the offices this is, was my destination. The of the door sensor made the admin office lookup, as I walked in.
"hi, how may I help you sir?" the young man asked, he was probably older than me, but I still had problems seeing a 20-year-old as older than me.
"Looking to put up some items anonymously," I said so he could hear it; there wasn't anyone else in the reception because it was still early, but you never knew. I decide to put the items up anonymously; it would keep my identity hidden apart from the upper staff at the auction house.
"certainly, room four just down that hall," the admin pointed to a corridor over in the corner. I nodded my thanks and headed down the hallway to the door mark with a number four. Stepping into the room, I noticed There were a chair and table with a box attached to the wall. A sign hung on the wall gave instructions; Place items in the box, push the box into the wall, and wait for a response. There was also a note pad and pen on the small table that supported the box. I placed the weapons into the box and wrote a note, Need box back for more items. I didn't want to put the potions in the same load as the weapons that could cause a mess when I pushed over. Pushing the box, so it was flush with the wall, I waited for 5 minutes to the box moved back in my direction. There was a note with this one, some good stuff, for low-level climbers. A smile was on my face the cataloger was mocking me, well let's see how he likes this, I pushed over the box with 257 Potions the clink of glass a the heavy box moved. I did label everything with a piece of tape and a sharpy, but that was only for convenience; he would have to confirm each potion. I sat in that bare room for another hour and a half to the box came back, the note just plainly said 'Cash or Gold', I think I upset him circling gold and crossing out cash I pasted the letter back a short wait and the box returned with a ring and small knife and another note. [ 40,000 gold -50 gold for the ring, = 39,950 gold Credit return in a week for the sale price] i pricked my finger on the knife and bound the spatial ring to me, I whipped the blade of blood before putting it back, taking my receipt I got the hell out of the auction house, just waving bye to the admin officer. Looking into the ring, was a little under 39,950 gold and a black and gold chit, it had a picture of the tower on one side and the letter V on the other side. My heart was beating hard 40,000 gold credit, basically what they meant was they could either sell the lot for 80,000gold or 160,000 and weren't just buying my item they were selling on commission. I remembered their rates too they would take 35% of the sale and would receive the rest, they only did this if they wanted me to continue working with them. Oh well, at least I had the funds to get last of the equipment I needed.

FITZ WIZARD TOWER was the name of the building I headed too, no it wasn't a tower, and no the guy's name wasn't Fitz tell the truth I don't know why it was named that way, but David, the owner, and wizard in the tower, was a good guy and who had low priced books he crafted himself. He wanted to spread magic and dungeons and dragons to the world. in my previous timeline, I would spend Wednesday nights playing in a campaign with David as the dm. It was fun and taught me a lot about how to distribute levels and to deal with monsters. "Hello!" David called out as I enter.
"hi, I'm looking for a book of spellcraft, a spellbook starter kit, and the mana bullet spell," I said to David, he was in his mid-forties with a trimmed beard always wearing a cap to hide his balding head, he was wearing a dnd shit that depicted the cover of the red box.
"oh, looking to be a wizard your self or this for someone else.?" David said, looking me up and down. I was dressed in boots, jeans, flannel shirt with an Akubra to top it off, I looked like I just got off the farm, and I was asking about spells.
"for me and no, not a wizard, a SpellSlinger," I explained as I pulled out a cobra revolver out of the spatial ring. the look on his face as I held the gun I quickly put it back. "guns, magic, high damage output while looking cool" I smiled at him, those where the words he said to me when he explained the class to me, in my first time around.
"well that would be an interesting life" he chuckled "I've got all that, but it won't be cheap, well the spellcraft book won't be cheap" which was understandable it was an uncommon drop only after the 10th floor. "so lets call it an even 5,000 Gold" he gave the price.
"okay seems fair," I said and held out my fist, he bumped fists with me, and I transferred the funds from my ring to his. That was a neat trick that he discovered touching spatial rings could move items with a thought. Fifty-two thousand gold remaining, guns and bullets were next, then the pain killers.
Spending hours in the weapons store looking for a set of guns that would get to level 10 fast was hard. Truthfully I was picky, stats, damage, abilities, feel, color, looks, sound it was a problem when I bought a gun. If I were going to spend the money, it would be something that I'm happy with, which I never was. I ended up paying 32,000 gold on two guns and another 6,000 on ammunition.

With 14,000 left I picked up a bag of holding which was a spatial item, but it was much larger than the rings, that set me back another 5000 gold and lastly, I picked up 4 jars of wraith touch weed, its a common herb in the 15 floors, so it was only 25 gold a pot. I cashed in at the bank and sent my mother $400,000, so my parents could retire, I also set up a college fund for my sister with another $400,000 in that. Sunday ended with me naked sitting in a bathtub with a potion of knock out brewed from wraith touch in one hand and a spirit stone in the other. The spirit stone went down first, and soon as I felt the pain coming down went the knockout.
