I stared at the screen in front of my eyes. A screen I hadn’t seen in 18 years, the welcome screen. “status” I whispered in a trembling voice.

“Level 1 … Level 1!” my hand reached into my pocket and pulled out my flask taking a swing, I noticed my hands. The hands of a young 18-year-old with hope and dreams of adventure.
Old Time Flask ~ Legendary
The flask of the Old Time Guardian.
Ability ~ Endless Whiskey.
Ability ~ A Flask of the past (used)
“fuck me” a smile broke out on my face “a second chance from a random dinted up flask” I started laughing hysterically
“oi newbie you alright?” a twenty-something man said. I looked at his face and recognised him. John Peters Recruiter of the [West Pack] guild, he had a few rookies with as well. “hey if this is all too scary for you, you could tag along with us.” He offered. I just shook my head.
“Nah I'm right thanks for the offer, but I have friends waiting for me.” Which was true, but I didn’t tell him that the friends waiting for me were all across the world and I wouldn’t meet them for another 2 years.
“suit ya self, alright Potentials lets go snake hunting,” he said and lead the 3 rookies with him into the rainforest of floor [1-1]
I sat down and thought about what I should do.
The towers of the guardians, 5 towers appeared on January 24th 2048, which was 7 years ago. The towers appeared across the world, and they stretched up to a constant cloud cover and vanished like magic. Australia, North America, Africa, Asia and Europe the five continents that towers appeared in. I lived in Australia Queensland, the Australian government quickly took control of the entrance of the tower. An Age requirement was set in place after a year of the government investigation, 18 the legal age of Australia, vote smoke drink and now enter the tower of Australia. The rest of the world also enacted similar laws, why would they let people enter theses towers of monsters and danger, Gold, Magical Aritfacts and the protection pact. Basically on exiting the tower they would tax you, and get into the tower, you had to sign a protection pact. The pact stated that if Australia was attacked, you must protect the country. It was a good system however nobody the towers joined up on the 25th floor and then you could exit at any of the towers. They also didn’t know that once the first person crosses into the 25th floor that monsters will start to appear at the bottom of the tower. In progressively harder waves until we would have to evacuate to the towers and surrender Earth to the monsters. 7 years the highest climber was on floor 22 and in 6 more months, an American team would hit the 25th floor the city of climbers. I had come into the tower to earn money and adventure, but now I have a very different goal, save the world. In my 18-year climbing career, I learnt a few tips and tricks, some secrets of the tower, major events that would take place. But first I need to level, and I need some gold. So I checked my gear, I remembered that I had bought it out in the markets that had set up around the tower. 2 revolvers a short sword and a poncho.

It wasn’t good gear by any stretch of the imagination, but I had heard of the gunslinger class and my childhood of westerns and Clint Eastwood, made me a cowboy by heart. The poncho was an impulse buy I saw it and had to have. In total, the 2 guns the sword and the poncho cost me 2,500 Australian dollars. But that was fine, in the week I had earned more, selling materials and drops it was profitable, and for a young 18 year it was more money than I knew what to do with. This time ill spend that money wisely and climb the tower faster than anyone. In fact, the whole world will start to climb faster. But I had to make gains while I could, I couldn’t let that douche bag lead humanity again. I didn’t want to put the blame on Alistar but, he pushed us to rush the boss room, he wanted the glory, he made the best sit on the sidelines, and he died in the first 10 minutes. I clutched my hands in anger. “not this time” I promised my self. I stood and looked out at floor [1-1] “Right Snakes, I hate snakes.”
The first floor was known as snake haven, to be perfectly honest, it was the worst floor. Trending through a rainforest infested with snakes, sweating your ass off because of the humidity. It was not a fun experience. But I wasn’t planning on staying in the first floors for long. The snakes on the floor [1-1] to [1-6] where no poisonous, large constrictors types, pythons, boas, anacondas. I walked 5 minutes following one of the paths through the damp forest until I came across one of the scaly bastards. {Carpet Python Lvl 1} It laid there on a branch staring at me, its tongue flicking out and tasting my smell. I drew my revolvers 2 cracks sounded out as the snake received both bullets in the head.

[Beginner] Quickdraw
Well, that ability was new. Skills had Ranks and levels, as one reached level 100 on a skill they would need to perform a feat to get the next rank of the skill. The ranks were Beginner, Apprentice, Journeyman, Expert, Master, Grandmaster, Worldmaster, God Rank. The last one was a rumour to me, I had never met someone with a god rank skill. Researchers believed the feat you achieved to get to the next rank would determine the ability, while there was some truth to this Rank Feats could be anything, and happen at any time, so I couldn’t use this bit of knowledge to my advantage.

“great a duelling ability” I sighed “well at least it scales.” Abilities sometimes didn’t scale like my bullet time, it didn’t get more powerful at all. But this skill will increase with more levels, what the percentage per level would be, I had no idea. “loot” I said as I touched the snake corpse. [Loot: 1 gold, 2 snake skins, 1 Snake Eye] “Right Snake eyes, I need them” I realised, there was a low-level potion that was invented later on, that used ingredients found of the first floors. “Snake Eye Jack” I recalled. As an alchemist in my last life I had read and learnt the potion recipe, it was a simple brew that increased someone's eyesight, the effect lasted 30 minutes too. While it was useless for higher levels as our constitution grew, potions required to be stronger to affect us. On this level, increased eyesight will be great I don’t wanna know how many snakes are in my line of sight. 20 minutes later I had killed my way to a snake nest, the eggs where large and grey, it was an anacondas nest. The snake nests were the key to these floors crush and egg trigger a snake to attack you effectively if you didn’t want to walk through a rain forest. However what people didn’t know and wouldn’t for the next 2 years, burn a snake nest trigger a swarm of snakes. And seeing the nest was a pile dry leaves and twigs, my trusty Bic lighter started the bonfire nicely. Drawing my short sword and stabbing into the soil, then drawing both pistols I ready my hammers, the sound of wind brushing the leaves could be heard, but it wasn’t the wind it was 100 snakes all telling me I'm going to die.
40 minutes later, I was drenched in sweat on my back. My arms and legs had puncher wounds and bruising, but I was still standing, and the 100 snakes were scattered around me. The Fire had gone out. “Loot all” I wheezed out. [loot: 121 gold, 165 snake skins, 40 snake eyes, 25 snake teeth, Fang (common dagger) x4, 65 Snake meat] “yes, now to leave,” I said with a smile not bad for a little of hour work. Let's check my gains. “status” I said

“1% life steal on bite attacks, and it scales.” I blinked slowly at the ability screen. “what am I a vampire that’s fucking stupid” I rubbed my forehead, anything could be a Ranked Feat so taking a bite out of a snake was considered the feat to unlock brawler. “well should, distribute my points. I feel sluggish better raise dexterity and my intelligence if I'm going to be a spell slinger again. Those should be my primary and secondary stats but gotta keep them all up” after distributing points I looked at my status again.

Braindead - A Zombie LitRPG
In a world where zombies are trash mobs that children kill for easy exp, what hope does one little zed have? Zed was minding his own business when his master's domain was invaded by a plucky young heroine looking to make a name for herself. An unlikely turn of events allowed Zed to come out on top, and gave him enough experience to rise above the life of a mindless minion. Unfortunately, it also left him with no body to share it with... literally, not figuratively! This story contains: Some 'jokes' containing questionable humour. An inhuman MC who has no interest in pesky things like romance or growing a conscience. Blue boxes, and a DnD style system messily mashed together with several other systems. Gore, but nothing too gratuitous. The main character is a severed head so what do you expect? Kingdom/base building, because what good is a zombie without a good horde behind them. Releases planned for each Sunday until I build up a decent backlog.

The Yes-Mage
Plenty of people have stopped and asked what it'd be like to simply have everything, and Sylvain Henry Camille Johansson was no different. He was a man who had a lot of things going on, with a name that'd make a supervillain blush and a family who'd make even the useless of their rank into someone important. It was a shame, then, that he was slapped with a dreadfully unfortunate condition that kept him from living up to any of those already low expectations. Stuck living a life where magic is everywhere while he's left working with nothing more than a moderate intellect, a little bit of whatever influence he could get from his family, and a lifetime's practice at making himself the ideal subordinate for his bosses' boss, Vane was still beating the odds and slowly working his way up in the world. When the cunning yes-man finally got a chance to really make a name for himself, he leapt at the offer, taking his first real step onto a road he knew he was always meant to walk. His goal? Nothing less than finding out why he and too many other unfortunate souls are barred from the wonderful world of the higher energies, and with any luck, fixing it. Of course, life has a knack for interfering in even the humblest of plans, and Vane's lofty ideals were anything but humble; he was practically a walking bullseye for disaster. The funny thing about catastrophe, though, is that nobody can ever say what form it's going to take. That’s why, when it all went wrong for Vane, he'd gotten everything he'd ever wanted foisted onto him, and Everything else, too. Watch as a man so used to saying 'yes' to everyone above him finds himself stuck with the power to make reality itself say it back.

A Nerd's Wet Dream Come True (Tossing an OC into Marvel)
John was an average man. At least that's what he tells himself at night. He lived in a rented apartment in the decent district, a well-paying job, and more student debt than he cared to think about being steadily paid off. Yet he was absolutely miserable. He spent his days living like a zombie, a slave in all but name to corporate. His only joy these days it seems was reading comics and writing fanfics. SI ones. Choke full of power fantasies and large harems. Yeah, even he had to admit he was a loser. His only redeeming feature seemed to be his photographic memory and the library's worth of comics and books he has read. Yet, when fate took pity on him and had John transported into the Marvel Universe, he was only all too happy to oblige. A second chance to make something of himself. Is he going to finally have the comfortable life he wanted? Will he laze away relying on his past life's knowledge or does he want more this time? Will his ambition and hard work lead to sweet fruits, or will it rot away in the darkness hiding beneath the colorful costumes of the hero's society? Now with crossovers! Be warned if you don't like to see OCs messing up the timeline or DC and other stuff showing up. I swear I'm not randomly adding stuff and there is a legitimate (as far as comic books and fanfics can be) plot reason why. (I'll be honest, I don't know "cannon" marvel really... I watched some movies and animated series as a kid, but I haven't picked up a comic in years. This is just some light-hearted and casual writing for fun. If there are any errors or something you think would be cool please let me know.) I'm also trying to have multiple main characters so that might be jarring for some people while I switch perspective. Sorry in advance, I'm new at this and idk what I'm doing, advice and feedback gladly welcomed!
